Objective: To develop and internally validate a nomogram to predict recurrence-free survival (RFS) including the time to radical cystectomy (RC) and perioperative blood transfusion (PBT) as potential ***: Patients who underwent open RC and ileal conduit between January 1996 to December 2016 were split into developing (n=948) and validating (n=237) cohorts. The time to radical cystectomy (TTC) was defined as the interval between the onset of symptoms and RC. The regression coefficients of the independent predictors obtained by Cox regression were used to construct the nomogram. Discrimination, validation, and clinical usefulness in the validation cohort were assessed by the area under the curve, the calibration plot, and decision curve ***: In the developing dataset, the 1-, 5-, and 10-year RFS were 83.0%, 47.2%, and 44.4%, respectively. On multivariate analysis, independent predictors were TTC (hazards ratio [HR] 1.07, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.05-1.08, pmore units: HR 1.72, 95% CI 1.29-2.29, pmous cell carcinoma (HR 0.60, 95% CI 0.45-0.81, p=0.001), pT3-T4 (HR 1.77, 95% CI 1.41-2.22, pmph node status (HR 1.53, 95% CI 1.21-1.95, pmphovascular invasion (HR 1.28, 95% CI 1.01-1.62, p=0.044). The areas under the curve in the validation dataset were 79.3%, 69.6%, and 76.2%, for 1-, 5-, and 10-year RFS, respectively. Calibration plots showed considerable correspondence between predicted and actual survival probabilities. The decision curve analysis revealed a better net benefit of the ***: A nomogram with good discrimination, validation, and clinical utility was constructed utilizing TTC and PBT in addition to standard pathological criteria.

The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci （Gennadius）（Hemiptera： Aleyrodidae）, is a global pest on numerous crops, including vegetables. Weekly inundative releases of a coccinellid predator （Coccinella undecimpunctata L. [Coleoptera： Coccinellidae]）, a common green lacewing predator （Chrysoperla carnea Stephen [Neuroptera： Chrysopidae]）, and a mirid predator （macrolophus caliginosus [Wagner] [Hemiptera： miridae]） were independently made in three vegetable crops （cabbage [Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.], cucumber [Cucumis sativus L.], and squash [Cucurbita pepo L.]） for the management of the sweetpotato whitefly. Approximately 1 million to 2.5 million larvae or nymphs of each predator were released in the vegetable crops during 20 weeks. Whitefly populations were reduced by ≈ 25%-45% during most of the season in each crop where each predator was released. The effect of each predator was similar on whitefly population reduction. Late in the season （October） when whitefly populations were low, generally no benefit was obtained from releasing the predators. Numbers of predators recovered during sampling in all crops were greatest for C. carnea, but this corresponded with the fact that more individuals of this predator were released than any other predator in the experiment. These results help define the utility of these natural enemies for managing B. tabaci in vegetable crops.

Preparation using melt quenching technique and optical characterizations of Nd^(3+) doped Zn-Na phosphate glasses are presented. The structure of the present glasses was studied using X-ray diffraction and FT-IR spectroscopy. UV-vis spectra of the present glasses were analyzed at different concentrations of Nd_2 O_3. The effect of neodymium concentration on the density and energy band gap was investigated. The density of the present glasses slightly increases with the increasing of Nd_2 O_3. A small variation of energy band gap with the increasing of neodymium content is observed as well, while E_g values decrease with the increase of Nd_2 O_3 content. The E_g values lie between 4.36 and 4.69 eV. Based on the measured optical spectra, Judd-Ofelt theory was used to determine the optical parameters such as line strengths, optical intensity parameters(Ω_t), transition probabilities, and transition lifetimes. Hypersensitive transitions were identified in the absorption spectrum, the greatest line strengths are recorded at the transitions^2 G_(7/2)+ ~4 G_(5/2), ~4 S_(3/2) + ~4 F_(7/2) and ~4 D_(1/2) + ~4 D_(3/2)+ ~4 D_(5/2) + ~2 I_(11/2) with wavelengths of 580, 475 and 355 nm,respectively. Lifetimes of the important ~4 F_(3/2) laser-level were determined; which show decreasing trend with the increasing of Nd_2 O_3 content and are found to be between 0.838 and 1.595 ms. The uncertainty of the present results was estimated. The RmS deviations were determined, which show lower values than those in the literature.

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) in the collection of data from wireless devices, sensor nodes, and the Internet of Things(IoT) devices has recently received significant attention. In this paper, we investigate the data collection process from a set of smart meters in advanced metering infrastructure(AmI) enabled by UAVs. The objective is to minimize the total annual cost of the electric utility by jointly optimizing the number of UAVs, their power source sizing, the charging locations as well as the data collection trip planning. This is achieved while considering the energy budgets of batteries of UAVs and the required amount of collected data. The problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(mINLP), which is decoupled into two sub-problems where a candidate UAV and a number of buildings are first grouped into trips via genetic algorithms(GAs), and then the optimum trip path is found using a traveling salesman problem(TSP) branch and bound algorithm. Simulation results show that the battery capacity or the number of UAVs increases as the coverage area or the density increases.

Chemosensory proteins (CSPs) have great contributions in performing diverse functions in insects. However, physiological appraisal of chemosensory protein genes still remains elusive in insects. We studied expression patterns and binding affinities of msepCSP14, a chemosensory protein, in mythimna separata. The distinct functions of msepCSP14 were validated by employing different molecular techniques. The msepCSP14 had high resemblance of sequence with chemosensory proteins of other insect family members. The msepCSP14 expression was higher in antennal tissues of females than other tissues. Fluorescence binding assay validated that binding of nine out of 21 ligands to msepCSP14 was higher at pH 7.4 than at pH 5.0. Three dimensional modeling (3D) and docking analysis predicted that amino acid residues of msepCSP14 were involved in binding of compounds, and behavior assay displayed that adults of m. separata considerably responded to four volatiles from compounds demonstrating strong binding ability to msepCSP14. Results of the present study suggest that msepCSP14 is likely to mediate chemosensory functions in m. separata.

采用ZnCl2对橡胶木屑进行化学活化制备出活性炭。ZnCl2与橡胶木屑的浸渍质量比为1.0-2.0,活化温度为500℃,时间为60min。通过扫描电镜、X射线衍射和BET比表面分析仪探讨浸渍比例对活性炭孔结构的影响。结果表明,当浸渍比为1.5∶1时,样品的比表面积和孔径分别为1301m2/g和0.37cm3/g。通过化学发泡工艺将不同质量分数(1%,2%,3%,5%,8%)的活性炭填充至聚氨酯中制备出聚氨酯复合材料。在1-5GHz频率范围内,复合材料吸收微波。随着活性炭含量增加,在1-3GHz范围内,介电常数(ε’)和回波损耗增加。活性炭含量为8%时复合材料的介电常数达到最大值3.0。在1.8GHz时,复合材料的回波损耗为10dB。在-2.5GHz,电磁屏蔽效率大于3dB。与传统聚合物材料如填加金属的聚氨酯和聚酯相比,所制复合材料呈微波段吸收,可作为电磁屏蔽材料。

The burning of agricultural waste is a major cause of environmental *** this study,we sought to prepare biochar from agricultural waste as a source material for the preparation of carbon nanoparticles(CNPs).Surface morphology,hydrodynamic particle size,and purity and crystallinity of CNPs were extensively investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEm),zeta sizing,and X-ray diffraction(XRD)spectroscopy,*** CNPs were subsequently immersed in a solution of potassium nitrate(KNO_(3))to prepare a CNPs/NK nanocomposite(CNPs loaded with nitrogen(N)and potassium(K))as a nanocomposite fertilizer for common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.).The CNPs/NK nanocomposite was sprayed as a foliar fertilizer at 0,10,20,30,and 40 mg L^(-1) on common bean plants 25 d after sowing on a farm in Shebin El-Kom,El-monifia,*** growth,yield,and quality of common bean were investigated during two successive growing seasons(2017 and 2018).The highest seed yields of 2.04 and 2.01 t ha^(-1) and the highest values of growth parameters including plant height of 61.5 and 59.2 cm,number of leaves per plant of 35 and 35,number of flowers per plant of 83.3 and 82.7,and plant fresh weight of 148.7 and 152.8 g plant^(-1) were obtained when using the CNPs/NK nanocomposite at a concentration of 20 mg L^(-1) during the 2017 and 2018 growing seasons,respectively.

New series of benzothiazole derivatives were designed and synthesized. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. Compounds 6j and 6o showed the highest activity against E. coli and S. aureus. The antifungal activity of these compounds was also tested against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus293. Compounds 4c, 4g and 6j exhibited the highest activity against C. albicans. In addition, compounds4 a and 6j displayed promising activity against A. fumigatus 293. The same compounds were examined for their antiquorum-sensing activity against Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 12472, whereas compounds4 a, 6j and 6p showed moderate activity. The in vitro cytotoxicity testing of the synthesized compounds was performed against cervical cancer（Hela） and kidney fibroblast cancer（COS-7） cell lines. Results indicated that all tested compounds have IC50 values 〉50 mmol/L against both cell lines. molecular properties, toxicities, drug-likeness, and drug score profiles of compounds 4a–c, 5a, 6g,h, 6j, 6l, 6o and7 c,d were also assessed.
