Molecular mechanism of Xuebijing in treating pyogenic liver abscess complicated with sepsis

BACKGROUND:Xuebijing(XBJ)can alleviate the inflammatory response,improve organ function,and shorten the intensive care unit(ICU)stay in patients with pyogenic liver abscess(PLA)complicated with sepsis,but the molecular mechanisms have not been *** study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism of XBJ in treating PLA complicated with sepsis using a network pharmacology ***:The active ingredients and targets of XBJ were retrieved from the ETCM *** targets related to PLA and sepsis were retrieved from the GeneCards,PharmGKB,DisGenet,Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM),Therapeutic Targets Database(TTD),and DrugBank *** targets of PLA complicated with sepsis were mapped to the targets of XBJ to identify potential treatment ***-protein interaction networks were analyzed using the STRING *** treatment targets were imported into the Metascape platform for Gene Ontology(GO)functional enrichment and Kyoto encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment *** docking was performed to validate the interactions between active ingredients and core ***:XBJ was found to have 54 potential treatment targets for PLA complicated with ***-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)were identifi ed as core *** enrichment analysis revealed important pathways,including the interleukin-17(IL-17)signaling pathway,the TNF signaling pathway,the nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathway,and the Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling *** docking experiments indicated stable binding between XBJ active ingredients and core ***:XBJ may exert therapeutic eff ects on PLA complicated with sepsis by modulating signaling pathways,such as the IL-17,TNF,NF-κB,and TLR pathways,and targeting IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF.

Troy: Efficient Service Deployment for Windows Systems

The modern university computer lab and kindergarden through 12th grade classrooms require a centralized solution to efficiently manage a large number of desktops. The existing solutions either bring virtualization overhead in runtime or requires loading a large image over 30 GB leading to an unacceptable network latency. In this work, we propose Troy which takes advantage of the differencing virtual hard disk techniques in Windows *** such, Troy only loads the modifications made on one machine to all other machines. Troy consists of two modules that are responsible to generate an initial image and merge a differencing image with its parent image, respectively. Specifically, we identify the key fields in the virtual hard disk image that links the differencing image and the parent image and find the modified blocks in the differencing images that should be used to replace the blocks in the parent image. We further design a lazy copy solution to reduce the I/O burden in image merging. We have implemented Troy on bare metal machines. The evaluation results show that the performance of Troy is comparable to the native implementation in Windows, without requiring the Windows environment.

This study presents the development and evaluation of a poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate)(P34HB)ultrafine fiber slow-release system for in vivo osteogenic induction of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(HUCMSCs).Utilizing dual-nozzle and cell electrospinning techniques,the system encapsulates L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate magnesium(AsP),βB-glycerophosphate sodium and dexamethasone(DEX)within the'fbers,ensuring sustained osteogenic *** scaffold's morphology,characterization,hydrophilicity,mechanical properties and cellular behavior were *** subcutaneous implantation in rabbits was con-ducted to observe its ectopic osteogenic induction *** fabricated P34HB ultrafine fiber slow-release *** ization *** distribution of HUCMSCs and inducing components within the scaffold,with no chemical reactions affecting the active *** vitro tests showcased a prolonged release of DEX and ASP,while biocompatibility assays highlighted the scaffold's suitability for cellular *** Red,type I collagen,and osteopontin(OPN)staining verifed the scaffold's potent osteogenic induction effect on ***,immediate implantation into New Zealand White rabbits led to significant new bone formation within 8 *** findings underscore the system's potential for immediate in vivo implantation without prior in vitro induction,marking a promising advancement in bone tissue engineering.

The medium-temperature T dependence of the jet transport coefficient̂q was studied via the nuclear modification factor RAA(pT)and elliptical flow parameter v_(2)(pT)for large transverse momentum pT hadrons in high-energy nucleus-nucleus *** a next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD parton model for hard scatterings with modified fragmentation functions due to jet quenching controlled bŷq,we check the suppression and azimuthal anisotropy for large pT hadrons,and extract̂q by global fits to RAA(pT)and v_(2)(pT)data in A+A collisions at RHIC and LHC,*** numerical results from the best fits show that̂q∕T^(3) goes down with local medium-temperature T in the parton jet *** with the case of a constant̂q∕T^(3),the going-down T dependence of̂q∕T^(3) makes a hard parton jet to lose more energy near Tc and therefore strengthens the azimuthal anisotropy for large pT *** a result,v_(2)(pT)for large pT hadrons was enhanced by approximately 10%to better fit the data at RHIC/*** the first-order phase transition from QGP to the hadron phase and the additional energy loss in the hadron phase,v_(2)(pT)is again enhanced by 5-10%at RHIC/LHC.

A DNA tetrahedron-based ferroptosis-suppressing nanoparticle: superior delivery of curcumin and alleviation of diabetic osteoporosis

Diabetic osteoporosis(DOP)is a significant complication that poses continuous threat to the bone health of patients with diabetes;however,currently,there are no effective treatment *** patients with diabetes,the increased levels of ferroptosis affect the osteogenic commitment and differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs),leading to significant skeletal *** address this issue,we aimed to target ferroptosis and propose a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of *** synthesized ferroptosis-suppressing nanoparticles,which could deliver curcumin,a natural compound,to the bone marrow using tetrahedral framework nucleic acid(tFNA).This delivery system demonstrated excellent curcumin bioavailability and stability,as well as synergistic properties with *** in vitro and in vivo experiments revealed that nanoparticles could enhance mitochondrial function by activating the nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(NRF2)/glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)pathway,inhibiting ferroptosis,promoting the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs in the diabetic microenvironment,reducing trabecular loss,and increasing bone *** findings suggest that curcumin-containing DNA tetrahedron-based ferroptosissuppressing nanoparticles have a promising potential for the treatment of DOP and other ferroptosis-related diseases.

This study investigates the impact of online-to-offline(O2O)platforms,such as *** and Meituan,on offline sales in low-frequency-high-consumption industries,specifically a mid-to-highend liquor distribution *** data from 77 offline stores in Beijing collected during 2019-2022,the study employs a VAR model to analyze the relationship between offline sales and the use of O2O *** results reveal a long-term equilibrium between the two,with most indicators showing a positive impact of O2O platforms on offline *** research provides valuable insights for lowfrequency-high-consumption enterprises in making multi-channel decisions and quantifies the impact of O2O platforms on offline sales.

Configuring single-layer MXene nanosheet onto natural wood fiber via C-Ti-C covalent bonds for high-stability Li-S batteries

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)are considered promising candidates for next-generation battery technologies owing to their outstanding theoretical energy density and ***,the low conductivity and polysulfide shuttling effect of S cathodes severely hamper the practical performance of ***,in situ-generated single layer MXene nanosheet/hierarchical porous carbonized wood fiber(MX/PCWF)composites are prepared via a nonhazardous eutectic activation strategy coupled with pyrolysis-induced gas *** unique architecture,wherein single layer MXene nanosheets are constructed on carbonized wood fiber walls,ensures rapid polysulfide conversion and continuous electron transfer for redox *** C-Ti-C bonds formed between MXene and PCWF can considerably expedite the conversion of polysulfides,effectively suppressing the shuttle *** impressive capacity of 1301.1 m A h g^(-1)at 0.5 C accompanied by remarkable stability is attained with the MX/PCWF host,as evidenced by the capacity maintenance of 722.6 m A h g^(-1)after 500 ***,the MX/PCWF/S cathode can still deliver a high capacity of 886.8 m A h g^(-1)at a high S loading of 5.6 mg cm^(-2).The construction of two-dimensional MXenes on natural wood fiber walls offers a competitive edge over S-based cathode materials and demonstrates a novel strategy for developing high-performance batteries.

Stability against oxygen is an important factor affecting the performance of organic semiconductor *** photooxidation stability can prolong the service life of the device and maintain the mechanical and photoelectric properties of the ***,various encapsulation methods from molecular structure to macroscopic device level are used to improve photooxidation ***,we adopted a crystallization strategy to allow 14H-spiro[dibenzo[c,h]acridine-7,9′-fluorene](SFDBA)to pack tightly to resist fluorescence decay caused by *** this case,the inert group of SFDBA acts as a“steric armor”,protecting the photosensitive group from being attacked by ***,compared with the fluorescence quenching of SFDBA powder under 2 h of sunlight,SFDBA crystal can maintain its fluorescence emission for more than 8 h under the same ***,the photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQYs)of the crystalline film is 327%higher than that of the amorphous *** shows that the crystallization strategy is an effective method to resist oxidation.

Low-rank spectral estimation algorithm of learning Markov model

This paper proposes a low-rank spectral estimation algorithm of learning Markov ***,an approximate projection algorithm for the rank-constrained frequency matrix set is proposed,and thereafter its local Lipschitzian error bound ***,we propose a low-rank spectral estimation algorithm for estimating the state transition frequency matrix and the probability matrix of Markov model by applying the approximate projection algorithm to correct the maximum likelihood estimation of the frequency matrix,and prove that there is only a multiplying constant difference in estimation errors between the low-rank spectral estimation and the maximum likelihood estimation under appropriate ***,numerical comparisons with the prevailing maximum likelihood estimation,spectral estimation,and rank-constrained maxi-mum likelihood estimation show that the low-rank spectral estimation algorithm is effective.

The effects of hydrogen charging time and pressure on the hydrogen embrittlement(HE)susceptibility of X52 pipeline steel material are studied by slow strain rate tensile *** fracture morphologies of the specimens are observed by scanning electron *** HE susceptibility of the X52 pipeline steel material increases with an increase in both hydrogen charging time and hydrogen *** a charging time of 96 h,the HE susceptibility index reaches 45.86%,approximately 3.6 times that at a charging time of 0 ***,a charging pressure of 4 MPa results in a HE susceptibility index of 31.61%,approximately 2.5 times higher than that at a charging pressure of 0.3 MPa.
