Tomographic particle image velocimetry measurement on three-dimensional swirling flow in dual-stage counter-rotating swirler

Three-Dimensional(3D)swirling flow structures,generated by a counter-rotating dualstage swirler in a confined chamber with a confinement ratio of 1.53,were experimentally investigated at Re=2.3×10^(5)using Tomographic Particle Image Velocimetry(Tomo-PIV)and planar Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV).Based on the analysis of the 3D time-averaged swirling flow structures and 3D Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD)of the Tomo-PIV data,typical coherent flow structures,including the Corner Recirculation Zone(CRZ),Central Recirculation Zone(CTRZ),and lip Recirculation Zone(LRZ),were *** counter-rotating dual-stage swirler with a Venturi flare generates the independence process of vortex breakdown from the main stage and pilot stage,leading to the formation of an LRZ and a smaller CTRZ near the nozzle *** confinement squeezes the CRZ to the corner and causes a reverse rotation flow to limit the shape of the CTRZ.A large-scale flow structure caused by the main stage features an explosive breakup,flapping,and Precessing Vortex Core(PVC).The explosive breakup mode dominates the swirling flow structures owing to the expansion and construction of the main jet,whereas the flapping mode is related to the wake *** limits the expansion of PVC and causes it to contract after the impacting area.

Solid polymer electrolytes （SPEs） are highly promising for realizing high-capacity,low-cost,and safe li metal ***,the li dendritic growth and side reactions between li and SPEs also plague these ***,a fluorinated lithium salt coating （FC） with organicinorganic gradient and soft-rigid feature is introduced on li surface as an artificial protective layer by the in-situ reaction between li metal and fluorinated carboxylic *** FC layer can improve the interface stability and wettability between li and SPEs,assist the transport of li ions,and guide li nucleation,contributing to a dendrite-free li deposition and long-lifespan li metal *** symmetric cell with FC-li anodes exhibits a high areal capacity of 1 mAh cm-2at 0.5 mA cm-2,and an ultra-long lifespan of 2000 h at a current density of 0.1 m A ***,the full cell paired with the liFePO4cathode exhibits improved cycling stability,remaining 83.7%capacity after 500 cycles at 1 *** matching with the S cathode,the FC layer can prevent the shuttle effect,contributing to stable and high-capacity li-S *** work provided a promising way for the construction of stable all-solid-state lithium metal batteries with prolonged lifespan.

Development and Catalytic Cracking Performance of Ultrastable Y Zeolite Rich in Secondary Pores

A novel ultra-stable zeolite, NSZ, rich in secondary pores was developed through the combination of gas-phase andmild hydrothermal methods. This zeolite was successfully tested in an industrial setting for the first time in the world. The porestructure characteristics of the NSZ zeolite prepared for industrial use were analyzed and characterized using BET. The resultsindicate a significant increase in the secondary pore volume of NSZ zeolite compared to the existing ultra-stable zeolite HSZ-5, which is produced through a conventional gas-phase method. The average secondary pore volume to total pore volume ratioin NSZ zeolite was found to be 58.96% higher. The catalytic cracking performance of NSZ zeolite was evaluated. The resultsshowed that the NSC-LTA catalyst, with NSZ as the active component, outperformed the HSC-LTA catalyst with HSZ-5 zeolitein terms of obtaining more high-value products (gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas) during the hydrogenated light cycle oilprocessing. Additionally, the NSC-LTA catalyst showed a significant improvement in coke selectivity.

BACKGROUND Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a developmental disorder characterized by social deficits and repetitive ***(GI)problems,such as constipation,diarrhea,and inflammatory bowel disease,commonly occur in patients with ***,GI problems of ASD patients were attributed to intestinal inflammation and vertical mother-to-infant microbiome *** To explore whether GI problems in ASD are related to maternal intestinal inflam-mation and gut microbiota *** An ASD rat model was developed using valproic acid(VPA).Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and fecal 16S rRNA sequencing were used to test GI *** VPA exposure during pregnancy led to pathological maternal intestinal changes,resulting in alterations in maternal gut ***,the levels of inflammatory factors also ***,prenatal exposure to VPA resulted in impaired duodenal motility in the offspring as well as increased levels of infla-mmatory *** GI problems in ASD may be associated with maternal intestinal inflammation and microbiota *** research is required to find more evidence on the etiology and treatment of GI problems in ASD.

This study investigates the impact of online-to-offline(O2O)platforms,such as *** and Meituan,on offline sales in low-frequency-high-consumption industries,specifically a mid-to-highend liquor distribution *** data from 77 offline stores in Beijing collected during 2019-2022,the study employs a VAR model to analyze the relationship between offline sales and the use of O2O *** results reveal a long-term equilibrium between the two,with most indicators showing a positive impact of O2O platforms on offline *** research provides valuable insights for lowfrequency-high-consumption enterprises in making multi-channel decisions and quantifies the impact of O2O platforms on offline sales.

Impact of next-generation sequencing on antimicrobial treatment in immunocompromised adults with suspected infections

BACKGROUND:Prompt pathogen identification can have a substantial impact on the optimization of antimicrobial *** objective of the study was to assess the diagnostic value of next-generation sequencing(NGS)for identifying pathogen and its clinical impact on antimicrobial intervention in immunocompromised patients with suspected ***:This was a retrospective *** January and August 2020,47 adult immunocompromised patients underwent NGS testing under the following clinical conditions:1)prolonged fever and negative conventional cultures;2)new-onset fever despite empiric antimicrobial treatment;and 3)afebrile with suspected infections on *** data,including conventional microbial test results and antimicrobial treatment before and after NGS,were *** were analyzed according to documented changes in antimicrobial treatment(escalated,no change,or deescalated)after the NGS ***:The median time from hospitalization to NGS sampling was 19 *** relevant pathogens were detected via NGS in 61.7% of patients(29/47),more than half of whom suffered from fungemia(n=17),resulting in an antimicrobial escalation in 53.2% of patients(25/47)and antimicrobial de-escalation in 0.2% of patients(1/47).Antimicrobial changes were mostly due to the identification of fastidious organisms such as Legionella,Pneumocystis jirovecii,and *** the remaining three cases,NGS detected clinically relevant pathogens also detected by conventional cultures a few days *** antimicrobial treatment was subsequently adjusted according to the susceptibility test ***,NGS changed antimicrobial management in 55.3%(26/47)of patients,and conventional culture detected clinically relevant pathogens in 14.9% of the patients(7/47).CONCLUSION:With its rapid identification and high sensitivity,NGS could be a promising tool for identifying relevant pathogens and enabling rapid appropriate treatment in immunocompromised patients w

Two thin middle-crust low-velocity zones imaged in the Chuan-Dian region of southeastern Tibetan Plateau and their tectonic implications

Intracrustal low-velocity zones(LVZs)indicate a mechanically weak crust and are widely observed in the southeast margin of the Tibetan ***,their spatial distributions and formation mechanisms remain *** investigate their distribution and detailed morphology of the LVZs in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,here we used teleseismic events and continuous waveform data recorded by 40 broadband seismic stations newly deployed in the Sichuan-Yunnan region from December 2018 to October 2020.A total of 12,924 high-quality P-wave receiver functions and 5–40 s fundamental Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity dispersion curves from ambient noise cross-correlation functions were *** Swave velocity model at a depth interval of 0–100 km in the study area was inverted by using the trans-dimensional Markov chain Monte Carlo strategy to jointly invert the complementary data of the receiver function waveform and Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity *** results show that there are two separate LVZs(~3.5 km/s)surrounding the rigid Daliangshan subblock at crustal depths of approximately 30–40 km,providing new constraints on the geometry of the LVZs in our study *** two LVZs obtained in this study may represent the middle crustal flow channels,through which the material in the center of the Tibetan Plateau extrudes to its southeast *** by the rigid Sichuan Basin and the spindle-like Daliangshan subblock,the material continues to flow southward through the mechanically weak middle crustal channels surrounding the Daliangshan *** addition,the existence of thin LVZs in the middle crust plays an important role in understanding the decoupling between the upper and lower crust in the study *** also provides new constraint on the complex tectonic deformation process of the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau caused by the collision and compression of the Indian and the Eurasian plates.
