Precisely tailoring th. surface electronic structures of electrocatalysts for optimal h.drogen binding energy and h.droxide binding energy is vital to improve th. sluggish kinetics of h.drogen oxidation reac-tion(h.R).h.rein,we employ a partial desulfurization strategy to construct a h.mologous Ru-RuS_(2) h.terostructure anch.red on h.llow mesoporous carbon nanosph.res(Ru-RuS_(2)@C).Th. disparate work functions of th. h.terostructure contribute to th. spontaneous formation of a unique built-in electric field,accelerating ch.rge transfer and boosting conductivity of ***,Ru-RuS_(2)@C exh.bits robust h.R electrocatalytic activity,ach.eving an exch.nge current density and mass activity as h.gh.as 3.56 mA cm^(-2) and 2.13 mAμg_(Ru)^(-1),*** th.se of state-of-th.-art Pt/C and most contemporary Ru-based h.R ***,Ru-RuS_(2)@C can tolerate 1000 ppm of cO th.t lacks in Pt/*** analysis reveals th.t th. directional electron transfer across Ru-RuS_(2) h.terointerface induces local ch.rge redistribution in interfacial region,wh.ch.optimizes and balances th. adsorption energies of h.and Oh.species,as well as lowers th. energy barrier for water formation,th.reby promoting th.h.R performance.

Quasi-solid-state lith.um metal batteries(QSSLMBs)assembled with.polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)are a promising class of next-generation rech.rgeable batteries due to th.ir safety,h.gh.energy density,and superior interfacial ***,PVDF h.s a series of inh.rent drawbacks such.as low ionic conductivity,ease of crystallization,and h.droph.bic ch.racter th.t leading to poor cell *** tackle th.se issues,a lignin-reinforced PVDF electrolyte is proposed in th.s work to solve th.se drawbacks of PVDF and enh.nce th. compreh.nsive performance of *** lith.ph.lic polar groups of lignin can promote uniform deposition of Li on th. *** with.th. improved mech.nical properties can efficiently prevent Li dendrites penetration th.ough.th. *** addition,more active sites provided by lignin can also enh.nce Li^(+)transport and lead to a faster electroch.mical reaction *** from th. ingenious design,Li symmetric cells with.5%lignin-PVDF quasi-solid-state electrolyte can operate for 900 h.at a h.gh.current density/capacity of 5 mA·cm^(-2)/5 mAh.cm^(-2),wh.le shortcircuiting occurs after 56 h.for th. counterpart(pure PVDF).Moreover,a full cell of Li/5%lignin-PVDF/LFP cell demonstrates a h.gh.capacity of 96.2 mAh.g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 10 *** work is expected to open up promising opportunities to develop oth.r h.gh.energy/power-density QSSLMBs.

Poly(dieth.l fumarate-co-meth.xyeth.l acrylate-co-vinyl ch.oroacetate)(PDEFMV),a novel bio-based elastomer with.a saturated structure,was synth.sized via redox emulsion *** glass-transition temperatures of PDEFMV,adjusted th.ough.th. variation of th. dieth.l fumarate-to-meth.xyeth.l acrylate feeding ratio,ranged from-36.1 to-14.8 ℃.Th. number-average molecular weigh.s of PDEFMV ranged from 384,000 to 46,000 g/*** designing th. molecular structure,vinyl ch.oroacetate was used to provide active sites for subsequent vulcanization and *** active ch.orine groups with.n th. PDEFMV ch.in reacted with.th. crosslinking agent trith.ocyanuric acid under h.gh.temperature and pressure to form a nonsulfur crosslinked th.ee-dimensional network *** ach.eve th. desired properties,carbon black(CB,N330) was incorporated to reinforce PDEFMV,leading to th. formation of PDEFMV/CB composites.A compreh.nsive study was conducted on th. h.gh.temperature oil resistance of PDEFMV/CB *** immersion in IRM903 oil at temperatures of 150 and 200 ℃ for 72 h.th. mass and volume ch.nges in PDEFMV/CB were lower th.n th.se observed in commercially available acrylate rubber(AR)/CB,indicating th.t PDEFMV exh.bited superior oil ***,th. aging ch.racteristics and mech.nisms of oil resistance in th. PDEFMV/CB and AR/CB composites were investigated at different temperatures(150,200,and 250 ℃).Th. results provide insigh.s into th. operational temperature ranges suitable for PDEFMV/CB and offer valuable guidance for potential industrial applications.

Enh.ncing catalytic activity th.ough.modulating th. interaction between N-doped carbon and metal ph.sph.des clusters is an effective ***,th. electronic structure modulation of CoP_(2) supported N-modified carbon(CoP_(2)/NC)h.s been designed and prepared as efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and h.drogen evolution reaction(h.R).Notably,CoP_(2)/NC-1 catalyst exh.bits impressive performance in alkaline media,with.an ORR h.lf-wave potential of 0.84 V,as well as OER and h.R overpotentials of 290 and 129 mV(at 10 mA·cm^(−2)),*** addition,CoP_(2)/NC-1 produces a power density as h.gh.as 172.9 mW·cm^(−2),and excellent reversibility of 100 h.at 20 mA·cm^(−2) in h.me-made Zn-air *** experimental results demonstrate th.t th. synergistic interactions between N modified carbon substrate and CoP_(2) material significantly enh.nce th. kinetics of ORR,OER,and *** functional th.ory(DFT)calculations reveal th. strong electrons redistribution of CoP_(2) induced by h.gh.density N atoms at th. interface,th.s optimizing th. key intermediates and significantly lower th. energy barrier of *** electronic adjustments of CoP_(2) greatly enh.nce its kinetics of ORR/OER/h.R,leading to faster *** study provides profound insigh.s into th. specific modification of CoP_(2) by N-doped carbon,enabling th. construction of efficient catalysts.

For th. performance optimization strategies of h.rd carbon,h.teroatom doping is an effective way to enh.nce th. intrinsic transfer properties of sodium ions and electrons for accelerating th. reaction ***,th. previous work focuses mainly on th. intrinsic ph.sicoch.mical property ch.nges of th. material,but little attention h.s been paid to th. resulting interfacial regulation of th. electrode surface,namely th. formation of solid electrolyte interph.se(SEI)*** th.s work,element F,wh.ch.h.s th. h.gh.st electronegativity,was ch.sen as th. doping source to,more effectively,tune th. electronic structure of th. h.rd *** effect of F-doping on th. ph.sicoch.mical properties of h.rd carbon was not only systematically analyzed but also investigated with.spectroscopy,optics,and in situ ch.racterization tech.iques to furth.r verify th.t appropriate F-doping plays a positive role in constructing a h.mogenous and inorganic-rich.SEI *** experimentally demonstrated link between th. electronic structure of th. electrode and th. SEI film properties can reframe th. doping optimization strategy as well as provide a new idea for th. design of electrode materials with.low reduction kinetics to th. *** a result,th. optimized sample with.th. appropriate F-doping content exh.bits th. best electroch.mical performance with.h.gh.capacity(434.53 mA h.g^(-1)at 20mA g^(-1))and excellent rate capability(141 mAh.g^(-1)at 400 mA g^(-1)).
