Lactiplantibacillus plantarum AR113 alleviates microbiota dysbiosis of tongue coating and cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rat

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability ***,information on stroke-related tongue coating microbiome(TCM)is limited,and whether TCM modulation could benefit for stroke prevention and rehabilitation is ***,TCM from stroke patients(SP)was characterized using molecular *** occurrence of stroke resulted in TCM dysbiosis with significantly reduced species richness and *** abundance of Prevotella,Leptotrichia,Actinomyces,Alloprevotella,Haemophilus,and TM7_[G-1]were greatly reduced,but common infection Streptococcus and Pseudomonas were remarkably ***,an antioxidative probiotic Lactiplantibacillus plantarum AR113 was used for TCM intervention in stroke rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R).AR113 partly restored I/R induced change of TCM and gut microbiota with significantly improved neurological deficit,relieved histopathologic change,increased activities of antioxidant enzymes,and decreased contents of oxidative stress ***,the gene expression of antioxidant-related proteins and apoptosis-related factors heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(Gsh-Px),nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2),NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase-1(NQO-1),and Bcl-2 was significantly increased,but cytochrome C,cleaved caspase-3,and Bax were markedly decreased in the brain by AR113 *** results suggested that AR113 could ameliorate cerebral I/R injury through antioxidation and anti-apoptosis pathways,and AR113 intervention of TCM may have the application potential for stroke prevention and control.

Probiotics have great potential in regulating intestinal *** this study,the effects of Lactobacillus plantarum AR495 on the visceral sensitivity and gut microbiota of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)rats were *** results showed that tryptase released after mast cell activation and degranulation plays a key role in visceral pain,and *** AR495 reduced the stimulation of colonic mast cells and the expression of protease-activated receptor 2(PAR2)and TRPV1 in dorsal root *** further showed that supplementation with *** AR495 increased the level of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)and enhanced the barrier function of the *** addition,the microbiota analysis of the colon indicated that *** AR495 promoted the proliferation of Bifidobacterium and inhibited the proliferation of Lachnospiraceae,which alleviated the imbalance of the intestinal microbiota caused by IBS to a certain *** total,*** AR495 might reduce visceral sensitivity through the Mast cell-PAR2-TRPV1 signaling pathway by maintaining the homeostasis of the intestinal barrier.

Metabolomic Analysis of the Anthocyanins Associated with Different Colors of Cymbidium goeringii in Guizhou, China

Cymbidium goeringii is an economically important ornamental plant,and flower color is one of the main features of *** that contributes to its high economic *** clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of anthocyanins in mediating differences in color among varieties,liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry was used to perform anthocyanin-targeted metabolomics of seven *** varieties,including‘Jin Qian Yuan’(JQY),‘Jin Xiu Qian Yuan’(JXQY),‘Miao Jiang Su Die’(MJSD),‘Qian Ming Su’(QMS),‘shi Chan’(SC),and‘Yang Ming Su’(YMS),as well as the *** detected 64 anthocyanins,including cyanidins,delphinidins,malvidins,pelargonidins,peonidins,petunidins,procyanidins,and *** identified six shared differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs),including cyanidin-3-O-rutinoside,delphinidin-3-Osophoroside,pelargonidin-3-O-rutinoside,peonidin-3-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside),peonidin-3-Osophoroside,and *** DAMs were enriched in the anthocyanin biosynthesis *** Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis revealed that the differentially expressed metabolites were significantly enriched in the anthocyanin biosynthesis *** of the content of differentially expressed metabolites indicated that peonidin-3-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside)was the key metabolite underlying color differences among *** *** B2,pelargonidin-3-O-galactoside,and naringenin might also affect the color formation of JQY and QMS,SC,and MJSD,*** results of this study shed light on the metabolic mechanism underlying flower color differences in *** at the molecular *** findings will aid future studies of the mechanism of flower color regulation in *** and have implications for the breeding of new varieties.

Analytical Solutions for an Isotropic Elastic Half-Plane with Complete Surface Effects Subjected to a Concentrated/Uniform Surface Load

Computational modelling of gas–liquid–solid multiphase free surface flow with and without evaporation

Gas–liquid–solid multiphase systems are ubiquitous in engineering applications,*** printing,spray drying and *** a numerical framework for modelling these multiphase systems is of great *** improved,resolved computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)framework is developed to model the multiphase free surface flow with and without *** improved capillary force model is developed to compute the capillary interactions for partially floating particles at a free *** well-known benchmark cases,namely drag coefficient calculation,the single sphere settling,and drafting-kissing-tumbling of two particles are conducted to validate the resolved CFD-DEM *** turns out that the resolved CFD-DEM model developed in this paper can accurately calculate the fluid–solid interactions and predict the trajectory of solid particles interacting with the liquid *** demonstrations,namely two particles moving along a free surface when the liquid phase evaporates,and particle transport and accumulations inside an evaporating sessile droplet show the performance of the resolved model.

Seasonal thermal energy storage using natural structures:GIS-based potential assessment for northern China

Seasonal thermal energy storage(STES)allows storing heat for long-term and thus promotes the shifting of waste heat resources from summer to winter to decarbonize the district heating(DH)*** being a promising solution for sustainable energy system,large-scale STES for urban regions is lacking due to the relatively high initial investment and extensive land *** close the gap,this study assesses the potentials of using two naturally available structures for STES,namely valley and ground pit *** on geographical information system(GIS)methods,the available locations are searched from digital elevation model and selected considering several criteria from land uses and construction *** costs of dams to impound the reservoir and the yielded storage capacities are then quantified to guide the choice of suitable *** assessment is conducted for the northern China where DH systems and significant seasonal differences of energy demand *** total,2,273 valley sites and 75 ground pit sites are finally identified with the energy storage capacity of 15.2 billion GJ,which is much larger than the existing DH demand in northern *** results also prove that 682 valley sites can be achieved with a dam cost lower than 20 CNY/m^(3).By conducting sensitivity analysis on the design dam wall height and elevations,the choices of available natural structures are expanded but practical issues about water pressures and constructions are also ***,the identified sites are geographically mapped with nearest urban regions to reveal their roles in the DH *** general,560 urban regions are found with potential STES units and most of them have STES storage capacities larger than their own DH *** novel planning methodology of this study and publicly available datasets create possibilities for the implementations of large-scale STES in urban DH systems.

Minimum mass-entransy dissipation profile for one-way isothermal diffusive mass-transfer process with mass-resistance and massleakage

As a new concept,mass-entransy is one of the twins in the core of entransy *** can describe mass-transfer ability for masstransfer processes(MTPes),just as thermal-entransy for describing heat-transfer ***,mass-entransy dissipation can be utilized to evaluate the loss of mass-transfer *** mass-entransy dissipation(MMED) is utilized to optimize one-way isothermal diffusive MTPes with mass-leakage and mass-transfer law(g ∝ Δ(c),where c means concentration).For a given net amount of mass-transferred key components at the low-concentration side,optimality-condition for the MMED of isothermal diffusive MTPes is obtained by using the *** of the amount of mass-transferred and mass-leakage on optimal results are analyzed,and the obtained optimization profiles are compared with those for MTP profiles of constant-concentration-difference(c_1-c_2=const) and constant-concentration-ratio(c_1/c_2=const).The product of square of key-component-concentration(KCC) difference between high-and low-concentration sides and inert component concentration at high-concentration side for the MMED of the MTP with no mass-leakage is a constant,and the optimal relationship of the KCCs between high-and low-concentration sides with mass-leakage is significantly different from the *** mass-leakage is relatively small,the MTP with c_1-c_2=const strategy is superior to that with c_1/c_2=const strategy,and the latter is superior to the former with an increase in mass-leakage.A combination of mass-entransy concept,finite-time thermodynamics,and averaged-optimization-method is a meaningful tool for optimizing MTPes.

Defects engineering is an effective strategy for manipulating electromagnetic parameters and enhancing electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption ***,the relationship between them is not clear,especially in solid solution *** this work,a series of(Cr_(1-x)V_(x))_(2)AlC MAX phase solid solutions with layered structure were prepared via tuning the ratio of Cr and V to explore their EMW absorption *** experimental results indicated that the doping of V atoms at the M-site could effectively regulate its impedance matching and EMW absorption properties by introducing appropriate numbers of defects in the crystal,such as twin boundaries,dislocations and lattice *** them,if Cr:V=3:1,Cr_(1.5)V_(0.5)AlC,as radar absorption materials,could reach a strong reflection loss of-51.8 dB at the frequency of 12.8 GHz under an ultra-thin thickness of 1.3 *** reflection loss value could attain-10 dB in a wide frequency range of 2.7-18 GHz and thickness range of 1-5 *** addition,after high temperature and acid-alkali immersion treatment,this sample still had good EMW absorption capability,and the effective absorption bandwidth was enhanced from 2.3 to 2.6 GHz after concentrated acid immersion or 3.1 GHz after concentrated alkali *** work has great reference significance for the research and development of high-performance MAX-based EMW absorption materials in harsh environments.
