The nature and movement of thrusts in the eastern Iranian orogen: Sechengi Area on the northern border of Lut and Sistan

The eastern Iranian range,known as the Sistan suture zone in the past,has recently been identified as the Sistan *** Paleogene orogeny is located between the Lut and Afghan *** structural analysis shows that most of the thrusts dip towards the NW so that the Permo-Triassic sediments and Jurassic micro-diorites of the Lut Block overthrusted over the younger *** studies show that the tectonic vergence was from the NW to the SE of the Sechengi area in the NW part of Sistan *** recognized three deformation phases in eastern *** first N-S deformation event（D1）resulted in the formation of tight E-W folds（F1） and associated cleavages（S1）.The second E-W deformation event（D2）,which occurred in the late Paleogene led to the bending of older structures,including the axial plane of the first-generation folds giving them a new northwest direction（F2）.Additionally,the ramp of the first-phase thrusts（striking E-W） was reactivated,acquiring a new NNW orientation and exhibiting SSE tectonic *** third deformation event（D3） resulted in the formation of NNE and WNW conjugate faults in eastern *** consecutive deformation events perpendicular to each other are inconsistent with the models of simple linear orogen presented for eastern Iran（*** of eastern Iran continental crust and subsequence linear collision） and seem more consistent with the buckling orogeny（Orocline）.

An Innovative Finite Element Geometric Modeling of Single-Layer Multi-Bead WAAMed Part

Finite element (FE) coupled thermal-mechanical analysis is widely used to predict the deformation and residualstress of wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) parts. In this study, an innovative single-layermulti-bead profilegeometric modeling method through the isosceles trapezoid function is proposed to build the FE model of theWAAMprocess. Firstly, a straight-line model for overlapping beads based on the parabola function was establishedto calculate the optimal center distance. Then, the isosceles trapezoid-based profile was employed to replace theparabola profiles of the parabola-based overlapping model to establish an innovative isosceles trapezoid-basedmulti-bead overlapping geometric model. The rationality of the isosceles trapezoid-based overlapping model wasconfirmed by comparing the geometric deviation and the heat dissipation performance index of the two overlappingmodels. In addition, the FE-coupled thermal-mechanical analysis, as well as a comparative experiment of thesingle-layer eight-bead deposition process show that the simulation results of the above two models agree with theexperimental results. At the same time, the proposed isosceles trapezoid-based overlappingmodels are all straightlineprofiles, which can be divided into high-quality FE elements. It can improve the modeling efficiency andshorten the simulation calculation time. The innovative modeling method proposed in this study can provide anefficient and high-precision geometricmodelingmethod forWAAMpart FE coupled thermal-mechanical analysis.

为了预测复杂孔隙结构中毛管压力主导下两相流排驱过程中的流体分布,从仿真多孔介质和岩石CT图像中抽取子样本,并采用孔隙形态模拟器(PMS)生成流体分布,以创建多样化的数据集,将距离图及像素大小、界面张力、接触角、压力作为输入参数,通过改造、训练、评估卷积神经网络(CNN)、递归神经网络(RNN)和视觉转换器(ViT),优选用于预测流体分布的模型。模拟分析表明,常用的卷积和递归神经网络在捕捉流体连通性方面存在不足。基于ViT构建了一个高维视觉转换器(HD-ViT),该转换器先忽略孔隙的空间位置仅根据其大小进行排驱,再在后处理步骤中追加流体连通要求,这种方法允许在任何坐标方向预设出入口,并使用不同尺寸和不同分辨率的图像进行渗流状态推断。通过在砂岩和碳酸盐岩大图像上验证,并与微流控驱替测试的实验结果比较,证实了HD-ViT模型的有效性、精确性和速度优势,且在捕捉孔隙尺度三维流动方面存在较大的潜力。

Theoretical framework of the Isfahani style: Inspiring sustainable aspects of a vernacular urban development

The Isfahani style represents a method of traditional Iranian architecture and urban development that existed in the early 20th century and is regarded as a leading model in most traditional Iranian cities. It exhibits several vigorous features contributing to its recognition as a traditional approach to sustainable architecture and urban development. This research endeavors to reveal a theoretical framework beneath these inspiring aspects using the typology of sustainable modern forms, including the hierarchy, passive design strategies, compactness, density, diversity, mixed land use, pluralism, balance, good composition, and integration over time. To this end, the study employs qualitative research methods, drawing from traditional samples, to identify innovative, energy and socially efficient, and low-impact strategies implemented in this vernacular architecture of Iran's semi-arid and hot climates. The findings revealed that the neighborhood concept as a local and plural community (Mahalla) was a vital phenomenon in Iran's urban development. Apparently, the demise of this paradigm effectively played an important role in the numerous challenges regarding the social, energy, and economic viability of modern Iranian cities. Hence, this study presented theoretical frameworks—aligned with sustainable concepts—from the Isfahani style through its analysis, classification, and interpretation, which can contribute to modern urban development.

Immersion of scaffolds in Simulated Body Fluid(10SBF)is a standardized method for evaluating their bioactivity,simulating in vivo conditions where apatite deposits can be formed on the surface of scaffold,facilitating bone integration and ensuring their suitability for bone implant purposes,ultimately contributing to long-term implant *** effect of apatite deposition on bioactivity and cell behavior of TiO_(2)scaffolds was *** were soaked in 10SBF for different durations to form HAP layer on their *** results proved the development of a hydroxyapatite film resembling the mineral composition of bone Extracellular Matrix(ECM)on the TiO_(2)*** XRD test findings showed the presence of hydroxyapatite layer similar to bone at the depth of 10 nm.A decrease in the specific surface area(18.913 m^(2)g^(−1)),the total pore volume(0.045172 cm^(3)g^(−1)(at p/p0=0.990)),and the mean pore diameter(9.5537 nm),were observed by BET analysis which confirmed the formation of the apatite *** was found that titania scaffolds with HAP coating promoted human osteosarcoma bone cell(MG63)cell attachment and *** seems that immersing the scaffolds in 10SBF to form HAP coating before utilizing them for bone tissue engineering applications might be a good strategy to promote bioactivity,cell attachment,and implant fixation.

Probiotic microorganisms affect the reproductive and nervous systems of male rats treated with acrylamide

Objective:To evaluate the protective effects of probiotic microorganisms on the reproductive and nervous systems of male rats treated with ***:Thirty-two rats were randomly divided into 4 groups and received normal saline through gavage(control),acrylamide 20 mg/kg body weight,acrylamide plus probiotic microorganisms(Lactobacillus acidophilus,Lactobacillus casei,Lactobacillus bulgaricus,Lactobacillus rhamnosus,Bifidobacterium breve,Bifidobacterium infantis,Streptococcus thermophilus and fructooligosaccharides,all mixed in sachets)20 or 200 mg/kg body weight,*** 30 days,the testis,prostate,seminal vesicle and cerebellum were removed,fixed and stained with hematoxylin-eosin(H&E).The Johnsen score was used to classify ***'s principle method was used to evaluate the total volume(in mm3)of the *** number of each intratubular cell type as well as intertubular Leydig cells in whole samples was measured using the physical dissector counting *** analysis and the grids were used to determine the volume of cerebellar layers as well as the Purkinje cell ***:The testis weight decreased significantly in the acrylamide-treated group compared to the other groups(P<0.001).The number of spermatogonia,spermatocytes,spermatids and Leydig cells in the acrylamide-treated group were significantly less compared to the control group(P<0.05),while they were increased significantly in the acrylamide+200 mg/kg probiotic group(P<0.05;P<0.01).The mean Johnsen score in the acrylamide-treated group was lower than in the control group(P<0.001).Acrylamide-induced changes including congestion,vacuolization in the secretory epithelial cells,and epithelial rupture were observed in the prostate and seminal *** volumes of cerebellar layers were decreased in the acrylamide group compared to the control group while recovered in both probiotic treated ***:Probiotic microorganisms alleviate acryl

Intelligent solubility estimation of gaseous hydrocarbons in ionic liquids

The research focuses on evaluating how well new solvents attract light hydrocarbons, such as propane,methane, and ethane, in natural gas sweetening units. It is important to accurately determine the solubility of hydrocarbons in these solvents to effectively manage the sweetening process. To address this challenge, the study proposes using advanced empirical models based on artificial intelligence techniques like Multi-Layer Artificial Neural Network(ML-ANN), Support Vector Machines(SVM), and Least Square Support Vector Machine(LSSVM). The parameters for the SVM and LSSVM models are estimated using optimization methods like Genetic Algorithm(GA), Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), and Shuffled Complex Evolution(SCE). Data on the solubility of propane, methane, and ethane in various ionic liquids are collected from reliable literature sources to create a comprehensive database. The proposed artificial intelligence models show great accuracy in predicting hydrocarbon solubility in ionic liquids. Among these, the hybrid SVM models perform exceptionally well, with the PSO-SVM hybrid model being particularly efficient computationally. To ensure a comprehensive analysis, different examples of hydrocarbons and their order are included. Additionally, a comparative analysis is conducted to compare the AI models with the thermodynamic COSMO-RS model for solubility analysis. The results demonstrate the superiority of the AI models, as they outperform traditional thermodynamic models across a wide range of data. In conclusion, this study introduces advanced artificial intelligence algorithms such as ML-ANN, SVM, and LSSVM in accurately estimating the solubility of hydrocarbons in ionic liquids. The incorporation of optimization techniques and variations in hydrocarbon examples improves the accuracy, precision, and reliability of these intelligent models. These findings highlight the significant potential of AI-based approaches in solubility analysis and emphasize their superiori
