One important step in binary modeling of environmental problems is the generation of absence-datasets that are traditionally generated by random sampling and can undermine the quality of *** solve this problem,this study develops the Absence Point Generation(APG)toolbox which is a Python-based ArcGIS toolbox for automated construction of absence-datasets for geospatial *** APG employs a frequency ratio analysis of four commonly used and important driving factors such as altitude,slope degree,topographic wetness index,and distance from rivers,and considers the presence locations buffer and density layers to define the low potential or susceptibility zones where absence-datasets are *** test the APG toolbox,we applied two benchmark algorithms of random forest(RF)and boosted regression trees(BRT)in a case study to investigate groundwater potential using three absence datasets i.e.,the APG,random,and selection of absence samples(SAS)*** BRT-APG and RF-APG had the area under receiver operating curve(AUC)values of 0.947 and 0.942,while BRT and RF had weaker performances with the SAS and Random *** effect resulted in AUC improvements for BRT and RF by 7.2,and 9.7%from the Random dataset,and AUC improvements for BRT and RF by 6.1,and 5.4%from the SAS dataset,*** APG also impacted the importance of the input factors and the pattern of the groundwater potential maps,which proves the importance of absence points in environmental binary *** proposed APG toolbox could be easily applied in other environmental hazards such as landslides,floods,and gully erosion,and land subsidence.

Rural e-marketing in Iran;Modeling villagers’ intention and clustering rural regions

Generating capacity adequacy evaluation of large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic systems

Large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic sys- tems have become an essential part of modem electric power distribution systems. In this paper, a novel approach based on the Markov method has been proposed to investigate the effects of large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic systems on the reliability of bulk power systems. The proposed method serves as an applicable tool to estimate performance （e.g., energy yield and capacity） as well as reliability indices. The Markov method frame- work has been incorporated with the＇ multi-state models to develop energy states of the photovoltaic systems in order to quantify the effects of the photovoltaic systems on the power system adequacy. Such analysis assists planners to make adequate decisions based on the economical expectations as well as to ensure the recovery of the investment costs over time. The failure states of the components of photovoltaic systems have been considered to evaluate the sensitivity analysis and the adequacy indices including loss of load expectation, and expected energy not supplied. Moreover, the impacts of transitions between failures on the reliability calculations as well as on the long- term operation of the photovoltaic systems have been illustrated. Simulation results on the Roy Billinton test system has been shown to illustrate the procedure of the proposed frame work and evaluate the reliability benefits of using large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic system on the bulk electric power systems. The proposed method can be easily extended to estimate the operating and maintenance costs for the financial planning of the photovoltaic system projects.

Mechanistic simulation of fracture effects on miscible CO_(2)injection

Miscible injection of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))into oil reservoirs as an enhanced Oil Recovery(eOR)method has proved to be highly *** to the volume of the world's recoverable oil resides inside the fractured reservoirs,investigation of the controlling parameters in the efficient injection of miscible CO_(2) is of paramount importance,mainly owing to the intricacies and complexities associated with this *** complexity in fractured reservoirs arises due to the presence of two distinct media for fluid transfer(i.e.,matrix and fracture network)and the corresponding differences in fluid ***,performance of miscible carbon dioxide injection in these reservoirs was investigated through mechanistic simulation model in the form of dual-porosity(DP),and dual porosity-dual permeability(DPP).Moreover,due to limited supply and high injection costs of this gas in its pure form,performance of the miscible CO_(2) injection combined with C_(1),N_(2),and H_(2)S was also surveyed and compared to pure gas injection case.A sensitivity analysis was also performed based on fracture porosity,fracture horizontal and vertical permeability,matrix horizontal permeability,block height shape factor,matrix capillary pressure,and impure injected components in DP and DPP models,showing that matrix horizontal permeability and capillary pressure have the greatest,and porosity has the lowest impact on miscibility performance and oil recovery in these *** the end,after investigating the effect of different injection cases on miscibility performance and oil recovery,it was concluded that the highest oil recovery in miscible gas injection obtained through optimization of a gas composition having the lowest minimum miscibility pressure(MMP)and the lowest density.

This article presents a connection between fuzzy preordered structures and hyperstructures. Firstly, we introduce the notion of fuzzy preordered semigroup and then, we construct a semihypergroup associated with it, giving some properties of the associated hyperstructure. Secondly, we define the notion of fuzzy preordered ring in order to construct a fuzzy hyperring.

Matching user identities across social networks with limited profile data

Privacy preservation is a primary concern in social networks which employ a variety of privacy preservations mechanisms to preserve and protect sensitive user information including age,location,education,interests,and *** task of matching user identities across different social networks is considered a challenging *** this work,we propose an algorithm to reveal user identities as a set of linked accounts from different social networks using limited user profile data,i.e,user-name and ***,we propose a framework,expandUIL,that includes three standalone al-gorithms based on(i)the percolation graph matching in ex-pand FullName algorithm,(i)a supervised machine learning algorithm that works with the graph embedding,and(ii)a combination of the two,expandUserLinkage *** proposed framework as a set of algorithms is significant as,(i)it is based on the network topology and requires only name feature of the nodes,(i)it requires a considerably low initial seed,as low as one initial seed suffices,(ii)it is iterative and scalable with applicability to online incoming stream graphs,and(iv)it has an experimental proof of stability over a real ground-truth *** on real datasets,Instagram and VK social networks,show upto 75%recall for linked ac-counts with 96%accuracy using only one given seed pair.

Inhibitability of soil loss and sediment concentration during consecutive rainfalls from experimental plots treated by endemic microorganisms

Consecutive rainfalls, due to changes in antecedent moisture, alter soil erosion processes, necessitating the implementation of suitable soil loss control methods. Biological soil microorganism approaches have been applied to control soil loss. However, information on the involvement of microorganisms in the soil loss and rill erosion processes has yet to be supplied. In this study, the individual and combined inoculation of cyanobacteria and bacteria was investigated during five consecutive rainfalls with an interval of three days, an intensity of 50 mm/h, and a duration of 30 min. Also, additional runoff simulation of about 2.18 ± 0.32 L/min was done in mid-sized experimental plots(i.e., 6 m × 1 m × 0.5 m) induced by rill erosion. These experiments were done at the Rainfall and Soil erosion Simulation Laboratory of the Faculty of Natural Resources, tarbiat Modares University, Iran. Soil loss and sediment concentration were measured during five consecutive rainfalls in the study treatments and compared with the control treatment. Results showed that the highest soil loss of 30,810.70 g occurred at the control treatment in the first rainfall. In contrast, individual and combined inoculation treatments of cyanobacteria and bacteria with the secretion of polysaccharides and resulting stability of aggregates decreased soil loss significantly(p espectively, compared to the control *** the combined treatment of cyanobacteria and bacteria, soil loss further decreased by 68.38%, 70.33%,and 7.27% for 2 through 4, respectively, events and increased by 19.96% in the fifth event, and sediment concentration also decreased by 68.88% and 59.86% for the second and third events, respectively and increased by 4.66% and 83.30% for the fourth and fifth events, respectively. effects of Magnetic Particles entrance Arrangements on Mixing efficiency of a Magnetic Bead Micromixer

In this study, a computer code is developed to numerically investigate a magnetic bead micromixer under different conditions. The micromixer consists of a microchannel and numerous micro magnetic particles which enter the micromixer by fluid flows and are actuated by an alternating magnetic field normal to the main flow. An important feature of micromixer which is not considered before by researchers is the particle entrance arrangement into the micromixer. This parameter could effectively affect the micromixer efficiency. There are two general micro magnetic particle entrance arrangements in magnetic bead micromixers: determined position entrance and random position entrance. In the case of determined position entrances, micro magnetic particles enter the micromixer at specific positions of entrance cross section. However, in a random position entrance,particles enter the microchannel with no order. In this study mixing efficiencies of identical magnetic bead micromixers which only differ in particle entrance arrangement are numerically investigated and *** results reported in this paper illustrate that the prepared computer code can be one of the most powerful and beneficial tools for the magnetic bead micromixer performance analysis. In addition, the results show that some features of the magnetic bead micromixer are strongly affected by the entrance arrangement of the particles.

Unit-cell design for two-dimensional phase-field simulation of microstructure evolution in single-crystal Ni-based superalloys during solidification

Phase-field simulation serves as an effective tool for quantitative characterization of microstructure evolution in single-crystal Ni-based superalloys during solidification nowadays. The classic unit cell is either limited to γdendrites along crystal orientation or too ideal to cover complex morphologies for γ dendrites. An attempt to design the unit cell for two-dimensional(2-D) phase-field simulations of microstructure evolution in single-crystal Ni-based superalloys during solidification was thus performed by using the MICReSS(MICRostructure evolution Simulation Software) in the framework of the multi-phase-field(MPF) model,and demonstrated in a commercial TMS-113 superalloy. The coupling to CALPHAD(CALculation of PHAse Diagram) thermodynamic database was realized via the TQ interface and the experimental diffusion coefficients were utilized in the simulation. Firstly, the classic unit cell with a single γ dendrite along crystal orientation was employed for the phase-field simulation in order to reproduce the microstructure ***, such simple unit cell was extended into the cases with two other different crystal orientations, i.e., and . Thirdly, for crystal orientations, the effect of γ dendritic orientations and unit cell sizes on microstructure and microsegregation was comprehensively studied, from which a new unit cell with multiple γdendrites was proposed. The phase-field simulation with the newly proposed unit cell was further performed in the TMS-113 superalloy, and the microstructure features including the competitive growth of γ dendrites,microsegregation of different solutes and distribution of γ′ grains, can be nicely reproduced.

Mesoscale eddies and their dispersive environmental impacts in the Persian Gulf

As the mesoscale eddies in oceans and semi-enclosed seas are significant in horizontal dispersion of pollutants,we investigate the seasonal variations of these eddies in the Persian Gulf(PG)that are usually generated due to seasonal winds and baroclinic *** sea surface height(SSH)data from 2010 to 2014 of AVISO are used to identify and track eddies,using the SSH-based *** seasonal horizontal dispersion coefficients are estimated for the PG,using the properties of *** results show an annual mean of 78 eddies with a minimum lifetime of one *** of the eddies are predominantly cyclonic(59.1%)and have longer lifetimes and higher diffusion coefficients than the anti-cyclonic *** eddy activity is higher in warm seasons,compared to that of cold *** locations with high eddy diffusion coefficients are high-risk areas by using maps of horizontal eddy diffusion coefficients,perilous times and locations of the release of pollutants are specified to be within the longitude from 51.38°e to 55.28°*** mentioned areas are located from the Strait of Hormuz towards the northeast of the PG,closer to Iranian ***,July can be considered as the most dangerous time of pollution release.
