Deformation in the Zagros suture zone is a result of the oblique collision of the AfroArabian continent with the Central Iranian microcontinents.Various types of folding and faulting are characteristic features of the study area and indicate the performance of a high strain tectonic regime in this region.To distinguish deformation geometry during the collisional events,strain measurements have been carried out,using the R_(f)/φ method on deformed radiolarian microfossils,in the Zagros suture zone.Based on the results,the strain ellipsoid shape is in the range of general flattening to plane strain(K=0.16 – 1.12).Measured mean kinematic vorticity number(W_(m)) in the deformed radiolarian rocks ranges between 0.50 and 0.87,which implies that exhumation of the Abade-Tashk area was facilitated by a general shear flow(35%

Effect of residual structural strain caused by the addition of Co3O4 nanoparticles on the structural, hardness and magnetic properties of an Al/Co3O4 nanocomposite produced by powder metallurgy

Al composites are of interest due to their appropriate ratio of strength to weight.In our research,an Al/Co3O4 nanocomposite was generated using a sintering technique.The powders of Al with various Co3O4 nanoparticle contents(0 wt%,0.5 wt%,1.0 wt%,1.5 wt%,2.0 wt%,and2.5 wt%)were first blended using planetary milling for 30 min,and compressed in a cylindrical steel mold with a diameter of 1 cm and a height of5 cm at a pressure of 80 MPa.The samples were evaluated with X-ray diffractometry(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Vickers hardness,and a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).Although the crystallite size of the Al particles remained constant at 7–10 nm,the accumulation of nanoparticles in the Al particle interspace increased the structural tensile strain from 0.0045 to 0.0063,the hardness from HV 28 to HV 52 and the magnetic saturation from 0.044 to 0.404 emu/g with an increase in Co3O4 nanoparticle content from 0 wt%to 2.5 wt%.

页岩气评价方法及关键参数研究表明,仅靠技术指标来寻找地质甜点并不能实现页岩气的商业经济开发。通过将总有机碳含量、镜质体反射率等技术指标与内部收益率、投资回收期等经济指标相结合,提出一套经济指标和技术指标相结合的研究方法,用以筛选页岩气未开发区的最佳技术经济开发甜点。采用该方法通过总有机碳含量、镜质体反射率、有效储集层厚度和含气量等参数筛选21个地质甜点。再基于类比研究法,以压力梯度、黏土矿物含量、埋藏深度等参数为类比依据,选择Eagle Ford页岩为类比对象,提取采收率和生产曲线两项指标,估算研究区的技术可采储量。在此基础上,结合内部收益率、投资回收期等经济指标评价地质甜点的经济性。应用这套多参数综合评价方法,对伊朗卢雷斯坦地区白垩系页岩气储集层S_(1)层和S_(2)层进行评估,确定该区域的最佳技术经济开发甜点。结果表明,在净现值取其P_(10)值(累计概率10%时对应的参数值)的情况下,技术可采储量和经济可采储量总量分别为7875×10^(8)m^(3)和4306×10^(8)m^(3),有11个地质甜点具有商业开发价值,其中1号甜点价值最高,净现值为35×10^(8)美元。

Identification of pathogenic microorganisms of repeat breeder dairy cows and a hyperimmune treatment approach

Objective:To investigate the bacterial infections in repeat breeder dairy cows and to evaluate the treatment effects of hyperimmune serum against two main endometritis bacteria,Escherichia(E.)coli and Trueperella pyogenes.Methods:A total of 29 Holstein multiparous cows with three or more unsuccessful artificial inseminations were carried out and examined to confirm the absence of reproductive tract abnormality and vaginal discharges.Uterine lavage was performed to collect uterine samples for bacterial and fungal cultures.In addition,polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was done to detect Trueperella pyogenes,E.coli,Fusobacterium necrophorum,and Prevotella melaninogenicus.The cytological study was done on cervical mucus.The hyperimmune serums produced against Trueperella pyogenes and E.coli were infused into the uterus of repeat breeder cows and two doses of prostaglandin F2αwere administrated intramuscularly within 14 days'interval.Results:There were 10 positive samples in the bacterial culture with 19 isolations and no growth of the main causative bacteria of endometritis.In the PCR method,no Trueperella pyogenes,Fusobacterium necrophorum,and Prevotella melaninogenicus were found.However,11 positive samples of E.coli were identified by PCR.Cladosporium was detected in one case of repeat breeder cows.The median(interquartile range)of neutrophils in vaginal discharge was 12(22.5).Eighteen from twenty-nine(62.1%)repeat breeder and eight from eleven(72%)cows with E.coli infections in PCR were made pregnant in the first artificial insemination after treatment by intrauterine infusion of hyperimmune serum and prostaglandin F2α.Conclusions:Intrauterine administration of hyperimmune serum could be an alternative to antibiotics for the treatment of repeat breeder cows.

The KoheSiah Volcanoes are located in the North of Qorveh city in the west of Iran. The KoheSiah volcanoes include several craters bearing domes located in the Kordestan Province, between latitudes 35°23'13.54” to 35°21'26.63”N and longitudes 47°54'38.26”E to 47°56'01.42”E. Based on the petrographic and geochemical analysis, the volcanic rocks in the KoheSiah area are classified as basalt, Alkali basalt, trachy-andesites and mugearite. The studied samples are alkaline with sodic to potasic feature based on Na2O/K2O ratios and belonging to Shoshonite series. Most of the alkaline volcanic rocks in the study area fall in the field of within in plate basalts (WPB) and represent of a mantle metasomatism trend associated with variable degrees in the partial melting of an enriched mantle source.
