The nature and movement of thrusts in the eastern Iranian orogen:Sechengi Area on the northern border of Lut and Sistan

The eastern Iranian range,known as the Sistan suture zone in the past,has recently been identified as the Sistan *** Paleogene orogeny is located between the Lut and Afghan *** structural analysis shows that most of the thrusts dip towards the nW so that the Permo-Triassic sediments and Jurassic micro-diorites of the Lut Block overthrusted over the younger *** studies show that the tectonic vergence was from the nW to the SE of the Sechengi area in the nW part of Sistan *** recognized three deformation phases in eastern *** first n-S deformation event(D1)resulted in the formation of tight E-W folds(F1)and associated cleavages(S1).The second E-W deformation event(D2),which occurred in the late Paleogene led to the bending of older structures,including the axial plane of the first-generation folds giving them a new northwest direction(F2).Additionally,the ramp of the first-phase thrusts(striking E-W)was reactivated,acquiring a new nnW orientation and exhibiting SSE tectonic *** third deformation event(D3)resulted in the formation of nnE and WnW conjugate faults in eastern *** consecutive deformation events perpendicular to each other are inconsistent with the models of simple linear orogen presented for eastern Iran(*** of eastern Iran continental crust and subsequence linear collision)and seem more consistent with the buckling orogeny(Orocline).

In this study,gradual and sudden reduction methods were combined to simulate a progressive failure in notched composite plates using a macro mechanics *** the presented method,a progressive failure is simulated based on a linear softening law prior to a catastrophic failure,and thereafter,sudden reduction methods are employed for modeling a progressive *** combination method significantly reduces the computational cost and is also capable of simultaneously predicting the first and last ply failures(LPFs)in composite *** proposed method is intended to predict the first ply failure(FPF),LPF,and dominant failure modes of carbon/epoxy and glass/epoxy notched composite *** addition,the effects of mechanical properties and different stacking sequences on the propagation of damage in notched composite plates were *** results of the presented method were compared with experimental data previously reported in the *** comparing the numerical and experimental data,it is revealed that the proposed method can accurately simulate the failure propagation in notched composite plates at a low computational cost.

Vanadium oxide （VOx） nanostructures, synthesized by hydrothermal treatment using dodecylamine as template, were evaluated for the selective catalytic reduction of nOx with ammonia （nH3-SCR）, The effect of solvent type in the reaction mixture （EtOH/（EtOH ＋ H20）） and time of hydrolysis was studied. The obtained materials were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and BET, The VOx nanorods （80-120 nm diameter and 1-4 μm length） were synthesized in 25 vol% EtOH/（EtOH ＋ H20） and the open-ended multiwalled VOx nanotube （50-100 nm inner diameter, 110-180 nm outer diameter and 0,5-2 pm length） synthesized in 50 vol% EtOH/（EtOH ＋ H20）. VOx nanotuhes performed the superior nH3-SCR activity under a gas hourly space velocity of 12,000 h-1 at low temperature of 250 ~C （nOx conversion of 893g ＆ n2 selectivity of 100%）, while most of the developed Vanadia base catalysts are active at high temperature （〉350 ℃）. The superior nH3-SCR activity ofVOx nanotubes at low tem- perature is related to nanocrystalline structure, special nanotube morphology as well as high specific surface area.

We investigate the directional volatility and return network connectedness among stock,commodity,bond,currency and cryptocurrency *** period of study covers Feb 2006 until August *** utilize and expand Diebold and Yilmaz(20142015)connectedness measurement;accordingly,in the variance decomposition structure,we use Hierarchical Vector Autoregression(HVAR)to estimate high dimensional networks more *** empirical results show that markets are highly connected,especially during *** stock markets are the net receiver of shocks,while European and American stock markets are the net transmitter of shocks to other *** pairwise connectedness results suggest that among stock markets,DAX-CAC 40,FTSE 100-CAC 40 and S&P 500-S&P_TSX index are more integrated through connectedness than the *** other markets,WTI crude oil-Brent crude oil,30-Year bond and 10-Year bond,Dollar Index futures-EUR/USD have notable *** terms of cryptocurrencies,they contribute insignificantly to other markets and are highly integrated with each *** and cryptocurrencies seem to be good choices for investors to hedge during a crisis.

Visible light-driven valorization of biomass has recently been a pioneering field for nitrogen-containing heterocyclics syntheses due to its sustainable ***,various aromatic ring-doped g-C_(3)n_(4) nanosheets(Ar-g-C_(3)n_(4);Ar=Py,Pm,Ph)were precisely designed to modulate their intrinsic electronic and band structure,which involves pyridine(Py),pyrimidine(Pm),and benzene(Ph)-doped g-C_(3)n_(4).Photocatalysts(CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)n_(4)) of cobalt(II)phthalocyanine(CoPc)-fabricated Ar-g-C_(3)n_(4) were then developed for oxidative cyclization of furoin with 1,2-phenylenediamines for syntheses of various biomass-derived quinoxalines under visible-light *** catalytic activity(in terms of TOFs)of serial CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)n_(4) samples increased with their transient photocurrents with CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)n_(4) as the most active *** CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)n_(4),CoPc species functioned as both sensitizer and catalytic sites;while,doped Py led to a narrowed bandgap *** research further demonstrated that O_(2) was activated to superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-)) by photoexcited high-level-energy electron(HLEE)transfer from Py-g-C_(3)n_(4) to CoPc for the subsequent aerobic oxidation.

In gamma camera and single-photon emission computerized tomography, the collimator removes most photons. Here, a gamma camera without collimator utilizes a specific arrangement of detectors. Instead of bending beams(like a lens) or directing beams(by parallel hole collimator), changes are created in detectors' field of view(FOV), so that each detector's FOV looks different from others. Simulation proved this theory, with 98 detectors(2 cm 9 1.41 cm) arranged in a zigzag manner for Monte Carlo simulation. A radioactive source with energy of140 ke V was situated on the detectors' faces. Sixty projections, each 3(0 –179) apart, were simulated by Monte Carlo n-Particle(MCnP) 4C code, rotating detectors around a radioactive point. The band containing the radioactive source is clearly visible in each *** obtained after simulation in different projections were reconstructed, and point source location emerged correctly. Simulation of gamma camera with zigzag arrangement of detectors and MCnP-4C code demonstrated that one could string the space and determine radioactive source by image reconstruction without using collimators, solely through these special detectors' distribution.

Multi terminal VSC-HVDC systems are a promising solution to the problem of connecting offshore wind farms to AC *** power sharing and appropriate control of DC-link voltages are essential and must be maintained dur-ing the operation of VSC-MTDC systems,particularly in post-contingency *** traditional droop control methods cannot satisfy these requirements,and accordingly,this paper proposes a novel centralized control strategy based on a look-up table to ensure optimal power sharing and minimum DC voltage deviation immediately during post-contingency conditions by considering converter *** also reduces destructive effects(e.g.,frequency devia-tion)on onshore AC grids and guarantees the stable operation of the entire MTDC *** proposed look-up table is an array of data that relates operating conditions to optimal droop coefficients and is determined according to n-1 contingency analysis and a linearized system *** constraints and contingencies such as wind power changes,converter outage,and DC line disconnection are considered in its formation *** performed on a 4-terminal VSC-MTDC system in the MATLAB-Simulink environment validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control strategy.

In this paper, we investigate the complete moment convergence for dependent linear processes with random coefficients to form Xt =∑j^∞=∞ Aj∈t-j,where {∈n, n ∈ Z} is a sequence of EnD stochastically dominated random variables and {An,n ∈ Z} is a sequence of random varibles. As applications, the convergence rate, Marcinkiewicz-Zvgmund strong law and strong law of large numbers for this linear process are established.
