The cell m.chanical features are largely regulated by actin cytokeleton. By analyzing the m.chanical features, it is possible to evaluate the characteristics of the com.licated actin cytoskeleton in diverse cell types. In this study, we exam.ned the sub-m.m.rane m.chanical structures of norm.l fibroblasts TIG-1 cells, and cervical cancer Hela cells using local elasticity m.pping m.thod of atom.c force m.croscope. Especially we aim.d at clarifying the regulatory m.chanism. of sub-m.m.rane actin structures in these cells by activation of actom.osin form.tion using calyculin A. This technique revealed that TIG-1 and Hela cells bore clearly different sub-m.m.rane m.chanical structures. TIG-1 cells had aligned stiff filam.ntous structures, whereas Hela cells had crooked and relatively soft filam.nts. The surface stiffness of TIG-1 cells increased slightly by actom.osin form.tion due to stiffness increase of the aligned filam.ntous structures. On the other hand, the surface stiffness of Hela cells increased by actom.osin form.tion due to upregulation of the apical actin filam.nts. Therefore, the structural and regulatory differences of the apical actin filam.nts could be dem.nstrated by atom.c force m.croscopy elasticity m.pping analysis.

In the steam.therm.l cracking of naphtha,the hydrocarbon stream.flows inside tubular reactors and is exposed to flam.s of a series of burners in the *** this paper,a full three-dim.nsional com.utational fluid dynam.cs(CFD)m.del was developed to investigate the process variables in the firebox and reactor coil of an industrial naphtha *** com.rehensive CFD m.del consists of a standard k-εturbulence m.del accom.anied by a m.lecular kinetic reaction for cracking,detailed com.ustion m.del,and radiative *** order to im.rove the steam.cracking perform.nce,the m.del is solved using a proposed iterative *** respect to tem.erature,product yield and specially propylene-toethylene ratio(P/E),the sim.lation results agreed well with industrial data obtained from.a m.ga olefin plant of a petrochem.cal *** deviation of P/E results from.industrial data was less than 2%.The obtained velocity,tem.erature,and concentration profiles were used to investigate the residence tim.,coking rate,coke concentration,and som. other *** coke concentration at coil exit was1.9×10^(-3)%(m.ss)and the residence tim. is calculated to be 0.29 *** results can be used as a scientific guide for process engineers.

A new Al-based am.rphous alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and high therm.l stability was produced in the Al-Co-RE(Ce-La)*** this regard,two different am.rphous-nanocrystalline ribbons:Al_(87.6)-Co_(6.4)-Ce_(3.8-)La_(2.2)(m.(1))and Al_(82.3)-Co_(10.1)-Ce_(4.8)-La_(2.8)(m.(2))were prepared using m.lt *** results reveal the supercooled liquid region(ATx)of 218℃which shows that the m.alloy has higher therm.l stability in com.arison to the *** m.ribbons present the superior corrosion resistance because of the form.tion of am.rphous *** icorr,Ecorr,Epit,and Epit-Ecorrvalues of fully am.rphous Al-Co-Ce-La m.tallic ribbons have a better trend of anti-corrosion perform.nce com.ared to other crystalline and am.rphous alum.num.alloys.

This study investigated dry sliding wear properties of AZ31 m.gnesium.alloy and B_(4)C-reinforced AZ31 com.osites containing 5, 10, and 20 wt.% B_(4)C with bim.dal sizes under different loadings(10-80 N) at various sliding speeds(0.1-1 m.s) via the pin-on-disc *** evaluations showed that when the distribution of B_(4)C particles was uniform.the hardness of the com.osites increased by enhancing the reinforcem.nt content. The unreinforced alloy and the com.osite sam.les were exam.ned to determ.ne the wear m.chanism.m.ps and identify the dom.nant wear m.chanism. in each wear condition and reinforcem.nt content. For this purpose, wear rates and friction coefficients were recorded during the wear tests and worn surfaces were characterized by scanning electron m.croscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrom.try analyses. The determ.ned wear m.chanism. were abrasion, oxidation, delam.nation, adhesion, and plastic deform.tion as a result of therm.l softening and m.lting. The wear evaluations revealed that the com.osites containing 5 and 10 wt.% B_(4)C had a significantly higher wear resistance in all the conditions. However, 20 wt.% B_(4)C/AZ31 com.osite had a lower resistance at high sliding speeds(0.5-1 m.s) and high loadings(40-80 N) in com.arison with the unreinforced alloy. The highest wear resistance was obtained at high sliding speeds and low loadings with the dom.nation of oxidative wear.

Com.ustion of heavy fuels is one of the m.in sources of greenhouse gases, particulate em.ssions, ashes, NOxand SOx. Gasification is an advanced and environm.ntally friendly process that generates com.ustible and clean gas products such as hydrogen. Som. entrained flow gasifiers operate with Heavy Fuel Oil(HFO) feedstock. In this application, HFO atom.zation is very im.ortant in determ.ning the perform.nce and efficiency of the *** atom.zation characteristics of HFO(m.zut) discharging from.a pressure-swirl atom.zer(PSA) are studied for different pressures difference(Δp) and tem.eratures in the atm.spheric am.ient. The investigated param.ters include atom.zer m.ss flow rate( _m., discharge coefficient(CD), spray cone angle(θ), breakup length(Lb), the unstable wavelength of undulations on the liquid sheet(λs), global and local Sm.(sauter m.an diam.ter) and size distribution of droplets. The characteristics of m.zut sheet breakup are deduced from.the shadowgraph technique. The experim.nts on m.zut film.breakup were com.ared with the predictions obtained from.the liquid film.breakup m.del. Validity of the theory for predicting m.xim.m.unstable wavelength was investigated for HFO(as a highly viscous liquid). A m.dification on the form.lation of m.xim.m.unstable wavelength was presented for HFO. Sm. decreases by getting far from.the atom.zer. The m.asurem.nt for Sm. and θ were com.ared with the available correlations. The com.arisons of the available correlations with the m.asurem.nts of Sm. andθ show a good agreem.nt for Ballester and Varde correlations, respectively. The results show that the experim.ntal sizing data could be presented by Rosin-Ram.ler distributions very well at different pressure difference and tem.eratures.

The available Sm.(Sauter m.an diam.ter) correlations on pressure-swirl injectors predict droplet sizing very different from.each other, especially for heavy fuels. Also there was a lack in the literature for com.aring available correlations. So an experim.ntal study was conducted on a heavy fuel oil(HFO) spray, m.zut 380. A pressure swirl injector was designed and fabricated. The experim.nts for m.zut at 40℃ and 80℃ were com.ared with the results for water, including spray half cone angle, breakup length and m.an droplet diam.ter,at different injection pressures. Lower spray angle, higher breakup length and larger droplets were observed for lower injection pressures and higher liquid viscosity. Sm. was about 75 μm.for water and about 87 μm.for m.zut at 80℃. The results for droplet m.an diam.ter were also com.ared with correlations from.previous studies on pressure swirl atom.zers. The Sm. results show that for water spray, LISA m.thod was in good agreem.nt,also Babu and Ballester correlations were successful when high viscosity fluid was injected.

We propose a novel approach called adaptive fuzzy ant-based routing (AFAR), where a group of intelligent agents (or ants) builds paths between a pair of nodes, exploring the network concurrently and exchanging obtained inform.tion to up-date the routing tables. Routing decisions can be m.de by the fuzzy logic technique based on local inform.tion about the current network state and the knowledge constructed by a previous set of behaviors of other agents. The fuzzy logic technique allows m.ltiple constraints such as path delay and path utilization to be considered in a sim.le and intuitive way. Sim.lation tests show that AFAR outperform. OSPF, AntNet and ASR, three of the currently m.st im.ortant state-of-the-art algorithm., in term. of end-to-end delay, packet delivery, and packet drop ratio. AFAR is a prom.sing alternative for routing of data in next generation networks.

Zagros forests are m.inly covered byQuercus brantii L. coppices and oak sprout clum.s occupy the forest area like patches. We investigated post-fire herbaceous diversity in the first growing season after fire. For this purpose neighboring burned and unburned areas were selected with the sam. plant species and ecological conditions. The data were collected from.areas subjected to different fire severities. Overall 6 treatm.nts were considered with respect to fire severity and the m.-crosites of inside and outside of oak sprout clum.s including： unburned inside and outside of sprout clum.s （Ni and No）, inside of sprout clum.s that burned with high fire severity （H）, inside of sprout clum.s that burned with m.derate fire severity （m., outside of sprout clum.s that burned with low fire severity （OH and Om.. Different herbaceous com.position was observed in the unburned inside and outside of oak sprout clum.s. The species diversity and richness were increased in treatm.nts burned with low and m.derate fire severity. However, in treatm.nt burned with high fire severity （H）, herbaceous cover was reduced, even-ness was increased, and richness and diversity were not significantly changed. We concluded that besides the m.crosites conditions in forest, fire severity is an inseparable part of the ecological effect of fire on her-baceous com.osition.

m.crobial indices and their spatial patterns are strongly affected by environm.ntal factors. Spatial variability of soil properties is one of the m.st im.ortant causes of variability in soil m.crobial indices. This research was conducted in the Caspian forest to assess spatial variabilities and frequency distributions of m.crobial *** soil sam.les were taken using a grid sam.ling design 40 9 40 m. m.crobial indices, organic carbon,nitrogen and pH were determ.ned. Soil variable distributions showed that m.crobial indices had abnorm.l distributions. Logarithm.c transform.tion produced norm.l distribution. Spatial continuity using geostatistical(variogram. was studied and m.ps obtained by point *** variogram. revealed the presence of spatial autocorrelation. The results indicate that spatial dependence of soil m.crobial indices was affected by non-intrinsic factors and forest m.nagem.nt procedures. The m.ps show that soil m.crobial indices and soil properties have spatial variability. The spatial pattern of m.crobial indices was correlated to organic carbon and nitrogen.
