Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers with a high mortality rate even among patients with early-stage *** recent studies with novel therapeutic approaches have led to modest improvement in survival outcomes,limited progress is achieved for the use of immunotherapeutics in this challenging *** checkpoint inhibitors,thus far,single-agent or in combination,have not yielded significant improvement in survival outcomes except in mismatch repair-deficient pancreatic *** tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer has been considered as an attractive target for over a decade based on preclinical studies that suggested it may adversely affect drug delivery and antitumor *** this review article,we elaborate on the biology of pancreatic cancer microenvironment,its highly complicated interaction with cancer cells,and the immune *** also discuss plausible explanations that led to the failure of immune checkpoint inhibitors as therapeutic agents and the potential impacts of pancreatic cancer stroma on these negative studies.

Nowadays,high-resolution images pose several challenges in the context of image *** encryption of huge images’file sizes requires high computational *** encryption techniques like,Data Encryption Standard(DES),and Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)are not only inefficient,but also less *** to characteristics of chaos theory,such as periodicity,sensitivity to initial conditions and control parameters,and ***,the characteristics of deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA),such as vast parallelism and large storage capacity,make it a promising *** paper presents an efficient color image encryption method utilizing DNA encoding with two types of hyper-chaotic *** proposed encryption method comprises three *** first step initializes the conditions for generating Lorenz and Rossler hyper-chaotic maps using a plain image Secure Hash Algorithm(SHA-256/384).The second step performs a confusion procedure by scrambling the three components of the image(red,green,and blue)using Lorenz hyper-chaotic ***,the third step combines three approaches to encrypt the scrambled components for diffusion:DNA encoding/decoding,addition operation between components,and XORing with Rossler hyper-chaotic *** simulation results indicate that the suggested encryption algorithm satisfies the requirements of *** entropy value of confusion and diffusion is 7.997,the key space is 2200,and the correlation coefficient is nearly *** efficacy of the proposed method has been verified through numerous evaluations,and the results show its resistance and effectiveness against several attacks,like statistical and brute-force ***,the devised algorithm vanquishes other relevant color image encryption algorithms.

Chemically prepared electrolytic 2-Mn02 and an electrodeposited MnO2 doped with Ce(Ⅲ) were subjected to physicochemical studies. X-ray diffractometry, density measurements, chem-ical analysis and thermal analysis were used to determine the structure and chemical disorder present. The samples prepared chemically (CMD) or electrochemically (EMD) showed a variable amount of de Wolff disorder (Pr) and microtwinning (Tw). Manganese dioxide prepared in the presence of Ce(Ⅲ) showed appreciable decrease in de Wolff defect and a large amount of microtwinning. Thermal analysis showed a loss of weight due to the physically adsorbed and the structural (OH) water, from which the activation energy was calculated. Chemical composition and formulae calculated on the bases of cation vacancy model, cleared that Ce(lIl)-doped sample has a remarkable increase in the vacancies population associated with higher structural water content. This leads to lower activation energy of water release, and consequently it is supposed to acquire higher electrochemical activity.

For cultivation of new common wheat cultivars having valuable morphological traits new resource-saving ridge technology was applied. Our collection of dwarf lines, obtained in the result of cyclical diallel crossings of genotrophs, induced by pyridine carbonic acids, zoned common wheat cultivars and short stem common wheat samples from the World Wide Collection of the Russian Institute of Plant Industry, was applied for creation of new common wheat lines having valuable morphological traits. It was observed that open blooming dwarfs were good for cross-pollination, and without insulation they demonstrated a great issue of natural hybrids. It was marked that cross-pollination promoted appearance of great number of hybrid plants with high productive tillering capacity. After individual selection among those hybrid plants and their propagation we got fertile constant lines of common winter wheat having 17-20 productive stems per one plant and a productive ear. These lines are firm and resistant to lodging. At the present time these constant lines are cultivated in conditions of resource-saving ridge technology.

Natural history and outcomes of patients with liver cirrhosis complicated by hepatic hydrothorax

BACKGROUNDHepatic hydrothorax (HH) is an uncommon and difficult-to-manage complicationof cirrhosis with limited treatment *** define the clinical outcomes of patients presenting with HH managed withcurrent standards-of-care and to identify factors associated with *** patients with HH presenting to 3 tertiary centres from 2010 to 2018 wereretrospectively identified. HH was defined as pleural effusion in the absence ofcardiopulmonary disease. The primary outcomes were overall and transplant-freesurvival at 12-mo after the index admission. Cox proportional hazards analysiswas used to determine factors associated with the primary ***, 84 patients were included (mean age, 58 years) with a mean model forend-stage liver disease score of 29. Management with diuretics alone achievedlong-term resolution of HH in only 12% patients. At least one thoracocentesis wasperformed in 73.8% patients, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shuntinsertion in 11.9% patients and 33% patients received liver transplantation within12-mo of index admission. Overall patient survival and transplant-free survival at12 mo were 68% and 41% respectively. At multivariable analysis, current smoking [hazard ratio (HR) = 8.65, 95% confidence interval (CI): 3.43-21.9, P < 0.001) and acute kidneyinjury (AKI) (HR = 2.91, 95%CI: 1.21-6.97, P = 0.017) were associated with a significantly increasedrisk of *** patients with HH are a challenging population with a poor 12-mo survival despitecurrent treatments. Current smoking and episodes of AKI are potential modifiable factors affectingsurvival. HH is often refractory of diuretic therapy and transplant assessment should beconsidered in all cases.

Objective: To investigate the effects of probiotic bacteria on cisplatin(CP)-induced nephrotoxicity. Methods: In the present study, 50 Sprague-Dawley rats were used and randomly divided into five groups including control, CP, probiotic bacteria treatment groups with different doses(0.5 and 1 mL) and only probiotic bacteria group. After CP and probiotic administration on seven days, rats sacrificed under anesthesia on the eighth day. The serum urea, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen levels were analyzed. In renal tissue, malondialdehyde levels, superoxide dismutase and glutathione activity, interleukin-8, interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-alpha levels were determined and histopathological and immunohistochemical changes were also examined. Results: According to results, urea, creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels as well as kidney weights increased in CP group. Also, CP induced inflammation, oxidative stress, DNA damage and apoptosis in kidney tissue and caused histopathological changes. Administration of the high dose of probiotic bacteria could prevent these changes and damages. Conclusions: This study reveals that probiotic bacteria has protective effects on CP-induced renal damage in rats.

In Bombyx mori,two dorsolateral neurosecretory cells(NSCs)in each of thetwo brain lobes have been identified as prothoracicotropic hormone(PTTH)*** neuropeptide in insects stimulates the prothoracic gland for the synthesis andrelease of ecdysone,responsible for the molting ***(AT)and allatostatin(AST)are allatoregulatory neuropeptides that regulate juvenile hormone ***,by using RT-qPCR,we showed that in ***,nutritional stress modulates themRNA expression of AT and AST-C(allatostain type C)in the central nervous systemconsisting of the brain lobes and all the associated *** whole-mount in situhybridization,we showed that the feeding status of Bombyx larvae also influences the ex-pression of PTTH in the NSCs of the *** deprivation significantly decreased themRNA expression levels of PTTH in larvae at active or terminal growth ***,we showed that insulin modulates the expression level of ***,its action wasdependent on the feeding status of the *** feeding,the insulin decreased the PTTHexpression level,while at food deprivation,the insulin increased the PTTH *** data thus indicates that larval feeding status plays an important role in alteringthe mRNA expression levels of allatoregulatory peptide genes and PTTH.
