BACKg.OUND Liver g.afts from.donation after circulatory death.DCD)are associated with.a h.g.1}r risk of early g.aft dysfunction,determ.ned by th. warm.isch.m.a and cold isch.m.a *** is essential to h.ve precise criteria to identify th.s com.lication in order to g.ide th.rapeutic *** To validate different g.aft and recipient survival scores in patients underg.ing.liver transplantation(LT)with.DCD *** A retrospective and observational unicentric study was conducted on 65 LT patients with.g.afts obtained from.controlled DCD donors from.Novem.er 2013 to Novem.er *** United King.om.UK)risk score,early allog.aft dysfunction(EAD)Olth.ff score,and m.del for early allog.aft function(m.AF)score were used to evaluate th. risk of g.aft and recipient survival *** survival analysis purposes,we used th. Kaplan-m.ier m.th.d,and th. differences between subg.oups were com.ared using.th. log.rank(m.ntel-Cox)*** Sixty-five patients were included in th. *** UK risk score did not dem.nstrate predictive capacity for recipient or g.aft ***,in donors ag.d over 70 years old(18.4%),it sig.ificantly predicted g.aft survival(Pg.to Kaplan-m.ier survival curves,g.aft survival rates at 6 m.nth.,2 years,and 5 years in th. futility g.oup dram.tically decreased to 50%com.ared to th. oth.r g.oups(log.rank 8.806,Ph. EAD Olth.ff and m.AF scores did not dem.nstrate predictive capacity for recipient or g.aft *** on Kaplan-m.ier survival curves,patients with.a m.AF score≥7 h.d a lower g.aft survival rate at 6 m.nth.,2 years,and 5 years com.ared to patients with.a lower m.AF score(log.rank 4.667,Ph.UK DCD risk score and m.AF score sh.wed predictive capability for g.aft survival.

A 56-day feeding.period was perform.d to investig.te th. possible im.acts of dietary nano curcum.n(0,50,100,150,and 200 ppm.on th. g.owth.nutrient utilization,non-specific im.une param.ters,antioxidants in Nile tilapia under ch.onic low tem.erature(21.02±0.11◦C).Fish.s(n=225;Initial weig.1}=4.39±0.08 g.fish.were random.y stocked at 15 fish.tank for five experim.ntal g.oups in *** low-tem.erature circum.tances,dietary curcum.n in nano form.sh.wed no notable alteration in g.owth.variable,nutrient efficiency,dig.stive enzym.s efficiency,biom.tric indices,survival rates,and h.m.tolog.cal ***,th. serum.of fish.s with.nano curcum.n diets under low-tem.erature stress displayed h.g.1}r total protein as well as lower g.ucose,cortisol,and total ch.lesterol com.ared with.th. control ***,fish.fed nano curcum.n diets displayed h.g.1}r lysozym. and bactericidal activities com.ared to th. control g.oup and th. best perform.nce was found at dietary nano curcum.n level of≥100 ***,g.oups fed th. basal diet dem.nstrated th. poorest antioxidant capacity,and th. best superoxide dism.tase(SOD)and g.utath.one peroxidase(g.x)existed in fish.with.nano curcum.n diets wh.le th. best catalase(CAT)efficiency occurred at h.g.1}r nano curcum.n levels≥100 *** addition,h.g.1}r counts of intestinal m.crobiota in term. of total bacterial count(TBC),total yeast and m.lds count(TYm.),and coliform.were noticed in fish.consum.d th. basal diet com.ared to g.oups fed on nano curcum.n *** conclusion,incorporating.nano curcum.n at a level of≥100 m./kg.diet(particularly at 150 m./kg.im.roved a non-specific im.une response,antioxidant,and h.alth.er g.strointestinal m.crobiota in Nile tilapia under ch.onic low-tem.erature stress.

Joule h.ating.effects on a slit m.croch.rm.l filled with.electrolytes are com.reh.nsively investig.ted with.em.h.sis on th. th.rm.l boundary conditions. An accurate analytical expression is proposed for th. electrical field and th. tem.erature distributions due to Joule h.ating.are num.rically obtained from.th. energ. balance equation. Th. results sh.w th.t a th.rm.l desig. based on th. averag. electric potential difference between electrodes can cause severe underestim.tion of Joule h.ating. In addition, th. param.- tric study of th.rm.l boundary conditions g.ves us an insig.0} into th. best cooling.scenario for m.crofluidic devices. Oth.r sig.ificant th.rm.l ch.racteristics, including.Nusselt num.er, th.rm.ph.retic force, and entropy g.neration, are discussed as well. Th.s study will provide useful inform.tion for th. optim.zation of a biom.m. device in relation to th. th.rm.l aspect.

In th.s paper we reported th. preparation and extensive ch.racterization of La9.83–x Sr x Si6O26＋δ（0≤x≤0.50） precursors, interm.diate and final products. Th. sintering.reactions, th. ph.se form.tion, th. structure as well as th. powders＇ m.rph.log. were studied by m.ans of th.rm.g.avim.tric analysis, X-ray diffraction（XRD）, Fourier-transform.infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and scanning.electron m.croscopy（SEm.. m.reover, th. effect of stoich.om.try on precursor＇s structure and m.rph.log. as well as on interm.diate and final products was reported. As was concluded pure La9.83Si6O26＋δ, La9.38Sr0.45Si6O26＋δ and La9.33Sr0.50Si6O26＋δ could be prepared after sintering.at 1400 °C for 20 h.wh.le La9.68Sr0.15Si6O26＋δ and La9.53Sr0.30Si6O26＋δ com.ounds contained m.nor traces（〈3.5%） of La2Si2O7 secondary ph.se. Concerning.th. synth.sis, th.re h.ve been no previous reports on th. preparation of pure La9.83Si6O26＋δ, La9.38Sr0.45Si6O26＋δ and La9.33Sr0.50Si6O26＋δ com.ounds. Th. final powders consisted of sph.rical particles and an increase of Sr content seem.d to inh.bit sintering.ph.nom.na. Th. existence of interstitial oxyg.n at interm.diate crystallog.aph.c positions of apatite structure h.d g.eat effect on Si O4 sub-structure distortion. Th. increase of Sr content led to a m.jor reduction of interstitial oxyg.n quantity and th. refutation of silicon tetrah.dron distortion.
