The purpose of the current investigations is to solve the nonlinear dynamics based on the nervous stomach model(NSM)using the supervised neural networks(SNNs)along with the novel features of Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation technique(LMBT),i.e.,*** SNNs-LMBT is implemented with three different types of sample data,authentication,testing and *** ratios for these statistics to solve three different variants of the nonlinear dynamics of the NSM are designated 75%for training,15%for validation and 10%for testing,*** the numerical measures of the nonlinear dynamics of the NSM,the runge-Kutta scheme is implemented to form the reference *** attained numerical form of the nonlinear dynamics of the NSM through the SNNs-LMBT is implemented in the reduction of the mean square error(MSE).For the exactness,competence,reliability and efficiency of the proposed SNNs-LMBT,the numerical actions are capable using the proportional arrangements through the features of the MSE results,error histograms(EHs),regression and correlation.

Evaluation of Depression and Quality of Life in Patients With Psoriasis

Objective:To measure the prevalence of depression in patients with psoriasis and to evaluate the relationship between the severity of psoriasis and depression and its effect on patients’quality of ***:A total of 154 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of psoriasis were assessed to determine the severity of psoriasis based on the psoriasis area and severity index score,presence,and severity of depression using the patient health questionnaire 9,and quality of life using the dermatology life quality index *** correlation coefficient was used to demonstrate the relationship between continuous variables with 95%confidence intervals(CIs);Prity of psoriasis was mild in 36.36%of patients,moderate in 25.97%,severe in 32.47%,and very severe in 5.20%.Of the 154 patients,139(90.3%)had depression;the severity of depression was mild in most affected patients(46.7%)and severe in 2.6%of *** had a moderate effect on the quality of life in 37.01%of patients and a very large effect in 33.77%of *** severity of psoriasis was positively correlated with depression(Pearson correlation coefficient,r=0.42,Pr=0.43,Pression is a common comorbidity in patients with *** severity of psoriasis is positively correlated with the severity of depression and is associated with poor quality of life.

A comparative approach was performed between the response surface method(rSM) and the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) to enhance the tensile properties, including the ultimate tensile strength and the tensile elongation, of friction stir welded age hardenable AA6061 and AA2024 aluminum alloys. The effects of the welding parameters, namely the tool rotational speed, welding speed, axial load and pin profile, on the ultimate tensile strength and the tensile elongation were analyzed using a three-level, four-factor Box-Behnken experimental design. The developed design was utilized to train the ANFIS models. The predictive capabilities of rSM and ANFIS were compared based on the root mean square error, the mean absolute error, and the correlation coefficient based on the obtained data set. The results demonstrate that the developed ANFIS models are more effective than the rSM model.

Sliding Mode Control of Coupled Tank Systems Using Conditional Integrators

For the problem of set point regulation of the liquid level in coupled tank systems, we present a continuous sliding mode control(SMC) with a "conditional integrator", which only provides integral action inside the boundary layer. For a special choice of the controller parameters, our design can be viewed as a PID controller with anti-windup and achieves robust *** proposed controller recovers the transient response performance without control chattering. Both full-state feedback as well as output-feedback designs are presented in this work. Our output-feedback design uses a high-gain observer(HGO) which recovers the performance of a state-feedback design where plant parameters are assumed to be known. We consider both interacting as well as non-interacting tanks and analytical results for stability and transient performance are presented in both the cases. The proposed controller continuous SMC with conditional integrators(CSMCCI) provides superior results in terms of the performance measures as well as performance indices than ideal SMC, continuous SMC(CSMC) and continuous SMC with conventional integrator(CSMCI). Experimental results demonstrate good tracking performance in spite of unmodeled dynamics and disturbances.

Deep wellbores/boreholes are generally drilled into rocks for oil and gas exploration,monitoring of tectonic stresses *** and tunnel in depth are generally in true triaxial stress state,even if the ground is under axisymmetric loading *** of such wellbores is very critical and collapse of wellbore must be ***-Coulomb failure criterion is a better representation of rock strength under true triaxial *** this paper,an analytical solution is proposed using Mogi-Coulomb failure *** solution is obtained for rock mass exhibiting elastic-perfectly plastic or elastic-brittle-plastic behaviour considering in-plane isotropic *** proposed solution is then compared with exact analytical solution for incompressible material and experimental results of thickwall *** is shown that the results obtained by the proposed analytical solution are in good agreement with the experimental results and exact analytical solution.A reduction of about 13%e20%in plastic zone from the proposed closed-form solution is observed,as compared to the results from the finite element method(FEM)based Mohr-Coulomb ***,the influences of various parameters such as Poisson’s ratio,internal pressure(mud weight),dilation angle,and out-of-plane stress are studied in terms of stress and deformation responses of *** results of the parametric study reveal that variation in the out-of-plane stress has an inverse relation with the radius of plastic ***’s ratio does not have an appreciable influence on the tangential stress,radial stress and radial *** angle has a direct relation with the *** pressure is found to have an inverse relation with the radial deformation and the radius of plastic zone.

Effect of rock joint roughness on its cyclic shear behavior

rock joints are often subjected to dynamic loads induced by earthquake and blasting during mining and rock cutting. Hence, cyclic shear load can be induced along the joints and it is important to evaluate the shear behavior of rock joint under this condition. In the present study, synthetic rock joints were prepared with plaster of Paris(Po P). regular joints were simulated by keeping regular asperity with asperity angles of 15°-15° and 30°-30°, and irregular rock joints which are closer to natural joints were replicated by keeping the asperity angles of 15°-30° and 15°-45°. The sample size and amplitude of roughness were kept the same for both regular and irregular joints which were 298 mm×298 mm×125 mm and 5 mm, respectively. Shear test was performed on these joints using a large-scale direct shear testing machine by keeping the frequency and amplitude of shear load under constant cyclic condition with different normal stress values. As expected, the shear strength of rock joints increased with the increases in the asperity angle and normal load during the first cycle of shearing or static load. With the increase of the number of shear cycles, the shear strength decreased for all the asperity angles but the rate of reduction was more in case of high asperity angles. Test results indicated that shear strength of irregular joints was higher than that of regular joints at different cycles of shearing at low normal stress. Shearing and degradation of joint asperities on regular joints were the same between loading and unloading, but different for irregular joints. Shear strength and joint degradation were more significant on the slope of asperity with higher angles on the irregular joint until two angles of asperities became equal during the cycle of shearing and it started behaving like regular joints for subsequent cycles.

In the present study, polyvoltine germplasm stock of Andhra Pradesh State Sericulture research and Development, Institute (APSSrDI) was evaluated for its performance based on quantitative and qualitative traits. Twenty-one oval and 10 peanut cocoon shaped lines were reared in different seasons of the year. Since the polyvoltines are non-diapausing, six generations were reared and evaluated for various economically important traits based on evaluation index and sub-ordinate function statistical methods. Ten top ranked lines obtained by using both the methods were identified as potential parental strains. Among oval lines, APM14, APM11, APM18, APMW9, and APM19, and among peanut lines APMD5, APMD1, APMD3, APMD9 and APMD8 were selected as base material. The identified high yielding lines will be used in various breeding programmes as initial parents for the synthesis of superior polyvoltine breeds/hybrids.

Simultaneous determination of pioglitazone and candesartan in human plasma by LC-MS/MS and its application to a human pharmacokinetic study

A simple and rapid liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric(LC-MS/MS) assay method has been developed and fully validated for simultaneous quantification of pioglitazone and candesartan in human *** was used as an internal *** analytes were extracted from human plasma samples by solid-phase extraction technique using a Strata-X 33 mm polymeric *** reconstituted samples were chromatographed on a C18 column by using a 80:20(v/v) mixture of acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/*** calibration curves obtained were linear(rZ0.99) over the concentration range of 15-3000 ng/mL for pioglitazone and 5-608 ng/mL for *** results of the intra-and inter-day precision and accuracy studies were well within the acceptable limits.A run time of 2.7 min for each sample made it possible to analyze more than 300 plasma samples per *** proposed method was found to be applicable to clinical studies.
