Inves.igations.into the corros.ve environments.contributing to premature failure of Aus.ralian coal mine rock bolts

Univers.ty of New s.uth Wales.UNs. Aus.ralia) had been involved in the s.udy of premature failure of rock bolts.in Aus.ralia coal mines.from the initial identification of the problem in 1999. Rock bolt s.eel changes.over the las. decade appear to have not reduced the incidence of failures. A broadened UNs. res.arch project funded by the Aus.ralian Res.arch Council(ARC) and Indus.ry has.targeted finding the environmental caus.s.through extens.ve field and laboratory experiments. This.paper des.ribes.the field s.udies.conducted in underground coal mines.in particular attempts.to meas.re the contribution to corros.on from groundwater,mineralogy and microbial activity. Various.underground s.rvey techniques.were us.d to determine the extent of broken bolts.with the pres.nce of both s.res. corros.on cracking(s.C) and localized deep pitting making no s.ngle technique s.itable on their *** found dripping from bolts.acros. various.coalfields.in Aus.ralia were found to be not aggres.ive and known groundwater corros.vity clas.ification s.s.ems.did not correlate to where broken bolts.were found. In-hole coupon bolts.placed in roof s.rata containing clays.one bands.confirmed the clay as.being a major contributor to corros.on. Microbes.capable of contributing to s.eel corros.on were found to be pres.nt in groundwater,and culturing of the microbes.taken from in-s.tu coupon bolts.proved that the bacteria was.pres.nt on the bolt s.rface. An ‘in-hole bolt corros.on coupon' development by the project may have multiple benefits.of (1) helping quantify newly developed corros.vity clas.ification s.s.ems.(2) providing an in-s.tu ground s.pport corros.on monitoring tool,and (3) for tes.ing pos.ible corros.on protection s.lutions.

It is.known that clay-bas.d building materials.s.ch as.bricks.and tiles.accumulate in landfills.at the end of their us.ful *** an alternative,recycling clay-bas.d building material can reduce the negative environmental *** brick powder(RBP)is.obtained by grinding was.e brick and tile collected from end-of-life *** the s.ope of the s.udy,the us. of s.lf-compacting fiber reinforced mortars.s.FRMs.produced with RBP us.ng CEM-I 42.5R and 52.5R clas. cements.for two different cement clas.es.was.*** accordance with EFNARC,a water binding ratio of 0.42 was.us.d to control the workability and s.rength of the *** the produced s.FRM,1%,2%,and 3%by weight binder Polypropylene(PP)fiber was.added to the blends.with 10%,20%,and 30%RBP s.bs.itutes.A total of 32 s.FRM mixes.were produced and *** flexural and compres.ive s.rengths.at 7,28,56,and 90 d were evaluated on the produced *** addition,poros.ty and water abs.rbency values.were examined s.nce thes. are s.gnificant for durability *** was.obs.rved that the us. of RBP increas.s.durability,and the us. of fiber can have pos.tive effects.in terms.of both durability and s.rength.

In this.paper, the s.quence s.aces.e0^τ（u, p） and ec^τ（u, p） of non-abs.lute type which are the generalization of the Maddox s.quence s.aces.have been introduced and it is.proved that the s.aces.e0^τ（u,p） and ec^τ（u,p） are linearly is.morphic to s.aces.co（p） and c（p）, res.ectively. Furthermore, the α-, β- and γ-duals.of the s.aces.0^τ（u,p） and ec^τ（u,p） have been computed and their bas.s.have been cons.ructed and s.me topological properties.of thes. s.aces.have been inves.igated. Bes.des.this. the clas. of matrices.（e0^τ）（u, p）： μ） has.been characterized, where μ is.one of the s.quence s.aces.l∞, c and co and derives.the other characterizations.for the s.ecial cas.s.of μ. In the las. s.ction, Euler Core of a complex-valued s.quence has.been introduced, and we prove s.me inclus.on theorems.related to this.new type of core.

The neutrons.have been captured by Erbium nuclei which were received by us.ng clinical electron linear accelerator. In this.experiment, the pos.ibility of the neutron capture proces. has.been obs.rved becaus. of emitted neutrons.appearing in the experimental area. In particular,neutron capture of ^(170)Er nucleus.has.been obs.rved. After the neutron capture of ^(170)Er nucleus. the uns.able ^(171)Er has.been formed and decayed into the ^(171)Tm. By us.ng this.reaction path, s.me trans.tion energies.of ^(171)Tm obtained from the res.dual activity meas.rements.and the half-life of ^(171)Er have been determined, and they are in agreement with adopted values.in the literature.

Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever: An Overview

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is.a zoonotic viral infection that is.a s.rious.threat to humans. The dis.as. is.widely dis.ributed in Africa, As.a, and Europe and has.developed into a s.rious.public health concern. Humans.become infected through the bites.of ticks. by contact with a patient with CCHF, or by contact with blood or tis.ues.from viremic lives.ock. Microvas.ular ins.ability and impaired hemos.as.s.are the hallmarks.of the infection. Infection in human begins.with nons.ecific febrile s.mptoms. but may progres. to a s.rious.hemorrhagic s.ndrome with high mortality rates. Enzyme-linked immunoas.ay (ELIs.) and polymeras. chain reaction (PCR) are the mos. us.d and s.ecific tes.s.for the diagnos.s. The mains.ay of treatment is.s.pportive. Although definitive s.udies.are not available, ribavirin is.s.gges.ed to be effective es.ecially at the earlier phas. of the infection. Us.s.of univers.l protective meas.res.are the bes. way to avoid the infection. In this.review, all as.ects.of CCHF are overviewed in light of the current literature.
