Exoskeletons are mechatronic devices used to increase human muscle strength and resistance. In the last decade these devices have become a very useful tool to assist active kinesiotherapy. This paper presents the design of exoskeleton focused on the rehabilitation of ankle and knee for the right leg. The construction of prototype like Exoskeleton for Lower Limb Training with Instrumented Orthoses （ELLTIO） using Series Elastic Actuator （SEA） to reduce the effort in the human joints, and a control law to perform a rehabilitation routine using an adaptive control scheme were first implemented in simulation to verify the control strategy and make a real rehabilitation test. The adaptive control law is proposed with the intention that the exoskeleton can adapt to user parameters at the time when performing the exercise. The results show the parameters estimation and tracking trajectory for the exoskeleton were proposed, and this trajectory could be a routine rehabilitation proposed by the therapist.

Aims functional traits have emerged as an important tool to evaluate plant ***,the environmental conditions and ecological pressures that plants face change with their size,and the relationship between traits and plant performance should therefore be size-dependent,which has rarely been *** Here,we evaluated over a broad range of tree sizes the interspe-cific relationship between tree growth and mortality and eight func-tional stem,leaf and seed *** did so across 59 tree species in Brazilian dry forests and evaluated whether the relationships found for wet forest types in the literature also hold for dry forests,where water rather than light might limit tree *** findings We indeed found a strong size-dependent relationship between demographic rates and functional *** small sizes,when trees are in the shaded understory,species with functional trait values that enhance light capture or shade tolerance(*** maximum adult stature,taller heights,wider crowns,higher seed mass)have higher growth and/or lower mortality rates(MR).This relationship disappears at larger sizes when trees attain better light conditions in the *** adaptations play only a role at larger tree sizes;once trees are in the dry and exposed canopy,species with higher wood density(an indicator of cavitation resistance)have lower *** study shows that both drought and shade adaptations are important in this dry forest,and that the relationships between func-tional traits and plant performance changes with plant *** size should therefore explicitly be included as an axis of variation in functional analyses,to better understand the relationship between functional traits and demographic rates.

Background： Toasting during the production of rapeseed meal（RSM） decreases ileal crude protein（CP） and amino acid（AA） digestibility. The mechanisms that determine the decrease in digestibility have not been fully elucidated. A high protein quality, low-denatured, RSM was produced and toasted up to 120 min, with samples taken every 20 min. The aim of this study was to characterize secondary structure and chemical changes of proteins and glucosinolates occurring during toasting of RSM and the effects on its in vitro CP ***： The decrease in protein solubility and the increase of intermolecular β-sheets with increasing toasting time were indications of protein aggregation. The contents of NDf and ADIN increased with increasing toasting *** of arginine, lysine and O-methylisourea reactive lysine（OMIU-RL） linearly decreased with increasing toasting time, with a larger decrease of OMIU-RL than lysine. first-order reactions calculated from the measured parameters show that glucosinolates were degraded faster than lysine, OMIU-RL and arginine and that physical changes to proteins seem to occur before chemical changes during toasting. Despite the drastic physical and chemical changes noticed on the proteins, the coefficient of in vitro CP digestibility ranged from 0.776 to 0.750 and there were no effects on the extent of protein hydrolysis after 120 min. In contrast, the rate of protein hydrolysis linearly decreased with increasing toasting time, which was largely correlated to the decrease in protein solubility, lysine and OMIU-RL observed. Rate of protein hydrolysis was more than 2-fold higher for the untoasted RSM compared to the 120 min toasted ***： Increasing the toasting time for the production of RSM causes physical and chemical changes to the proteins that decrease the rate of protein hydrolysis. The observed decrease in the rate of protein hydrolysis could impact protein digestion and utilization.

Modeling height growth for teak plantations in Colombia using the reducible stochastic differential equation approach

Teak(Tectona grandis L.f.)plantations are increasingly being established in tropical regions to meet a rising demand for its highly valued *** plantations have been established in the Atlantic Coastal Plain region of Colombia,a region climatically suitable for teak growth by having a monsoon climate with a unimodal precipitation *** diameter at breast height(DBH,1.3 m above ground)and mean top height,periodically measured over a 17-year period in 44 permanent sampling plots of size 0.06 and 0.10 ha,were used in this study.A stochastic differential equation(SDE),along with a Bertalanffy–Richards-type height growth model,was used to model and estimate top height growth of teak plantations in *** noise and height measurement errors were explicitly considered as the main uncertainty sources of mean top height *** best model for estimating mean top height,based on statistical performance and biological rationale,had the asymptote defined as a local parameter and the growth rate and shape specified as global *** model outperformed its counterpart that had the growth rate specified as a local parameter and asymptote and shape as global *** selected model also outperformed alternative approaches such as the mixed-effects model,generalized algebraic difference approach,and the dummy variable *** trajectories for the mean top height of teak in Colombia are biologically sound based on the measured height series and previous studies in Latin *** suggest that most of the uncertainty associated with the mean top height growth of teak plantations in Colombia was largely explained by environmental *** best estimated model using the SDE approach can be useful for predicting height growth and evaluating site productivity of teak plantations in Colombia and in neighbouring countries with biophysical characteristics similar to those where teak has been planted in Colombia.

A defensive （offensive） k-alliance in f = （V, E） is a set S C V such that every v in S （in the boundary of S） has at least k more neighbors in S than it has in V ／ S. A set Y C V is a defensive （offensive） k-alliance cover, if for all defensive （offensive） k-alliance S, S ∩ Y ≠ 0, i.e., Y contains at least one vertex from each defensive （offensive） k-alliance of f. In this paper we show several mathematical properties of defensive （offensive） k-alliance free sets and defensive （offensive） k-alliance cover sets, including tight bounds on their cardinality.
