Background: COvID-19 limitations have hindered the implementation of new technologies by preventing proctors from coming to the *** share our first experience of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided focused ultrasound(MRgFUS)treatment with an international remote online proctorship,and develop and evaluate the methodology of remote MRgFUS ***: This single-center,nonrandomized controlled prospective study included 94 patients:27 with essential tremor(ET)and 67 with tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease(PD).The coming of proctors was impossible,so we arranged for the remote participation of proctors from the United Kingdom,Spain,and Israel.A total of 38 patients(40.4%)received telemedicine-proctored treatment(proctor group)and 56 received their treatment independently(solo group).We used the Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor(CRST)for ET patients and the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)Part III for PD ***: In patients with ET,success rates were 81.8%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.22).CRST reduction on the treated side was 71.43%[65.83%;80.56%](proctor group)versus 60.87%[53.99;79.58](solo group)(p=0.19).None of the patients showed worsening of tremors within 1 *** patients with PD,the success rates were 92.6%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.08).The UPDRS Part III improvement was 30.1%(proctor group)versus 39.9%(solo group)(p=0.003).The 1-year recurrence rate was 40%(proctor group)and 17.5%(solo group)(p=0.04).No complications were observed at 6 ***: We developed a feasible and safe methodology for telemedicine remote online-proctored MRgFUS *** significant difference was observed between the solo and developed remote proctor protocols in terms of complication rate,effect,and long-term results;however,UPDRS Part III improvement was better in the PD solo *** study demonstrated that the MRgFUS international proctorship can be performed successfully remotely.

Biogenic Amine Neurotransmitter Response to Morphine in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex Predicts Propensity for Acquiring Self-Administration and the Intensity of the Withdrawal Syndrome

Individual differences in behavioral characteristics or initial responses to abused drugs had been recently demonstrated to have predictive value in the propensity of later abuse. The research described here was initiated to determine the initial response of rats to administration of morphine if the physiological response has predictive value for the propensity of the animals to later self-administration. The initial response of extracellular fluid levels of the biogenic monoamine neurotransmitters in the anterior cingulate cortex (aCC) was assessed in drug rats with in vivo microdialysis following administration of morphine. Rats that did not acquire morphine self-administration (NSA) had higher baseline levels of aCC extracellular fluid levels of dopamine (DA) and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) than animals that developed stable morphine self-administration (SA). However, the response independent administration of morphine resulted in a dramatic increase in (DA) in aCC in the SA group, while the morphine injection in the NSA rats increased extracellular fluid levels of noradrenaline (NA). It is possible that these differences might be related to the development of physical dependence. Therefore, the development of physical dependence was observed in these animals. There was no relationship between the propensity to self-administration morphine and the development of physical dependence. Rats that showed the highest withdrawal scores had lower extracellular fluid levels of serotonin (5-HT) compared to rats showing low withdrawal scores. Thus, monoamine neuronal innervations of the aCC respond to an initial dose of morphine that is predictive of the later propensity to self-administration and the resistance and predisposition to the formation of opiate dependence, but there is no relationship between these two indices in individual animals. These data add to a growing body of evidence for the involvement of neuronal systems in the aCC in the actions of opiat

Essential Oils from Different Parts of the Sea Buckthorn <i>Hippophae rhamnoides</i>L.

The study investigated essential oils of berries and green biomass of the sea buckthorn at various growth stages. Plant material of H. rhamnoídes ssp. mongolica was collected in the experimental fields of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS (Siberia, Russia). volatile compounds and essential oils were detected. Green spring shoots without leaves, first-year seedlings without leaves and berries were analyzed. In all studied exemplars, 103 volatile compounds were defined among which considerable proportion wasn’t found in a sea-buckthorn earlier. Phenylpropanoids prevailed in essential oils composition from seedlings. Alkanes and phenylpropanoids prevailed in shoots. Berries contained mostly carboxylic acids and their esters. These data can be applied to a fingerprint of various cultivars of a sea-buckthorn with relevance to food science and technology.

对位于西风环流下风区日本海中部Lv53-23岩芯沉积物的粒度特征进行了研究,重建了日本海末次冰期(~60 ka)以来的西风环流演化历史和空间变化规律.结果显示,岩芯沉积物以粉砂为主且粒度频率分布曲线多呈单峰分布,与现代日本黄沙和前人报道的邻近区域的岩芯粒度特征一致,具有典型的风尘沉积特征.众数粒组-粉砂组分的中值粒径分析表明,粉砂组分中值粒径可以用作岩芯沉积反映西风环流的替代性指标.在亚轨道及千年尺度上,粉砂组分中值粒径在MIS 3期的冰阶-间冰阶千年尺度旋回与西风环流密切相关:冰阶时,粉砂组分中值粒径增大,这与西风急流轴较长时间位于青藏高原南部,西风环流影响范围变大,风速增强,能携带更多近源的蒙古戈壁-中国东北沙地风尘至日本海有关;间冰阶时,粉砂组分中值粒径减小,这是由于西风急流轴位于青藏高原北部,携带更多远源的塔克拉玛干沙漠风尘至日本海.而在轨道尺度上,末次盛冰期时粉砂组分中值粒径的稳定低值与北半球65°N日照辐射量良好对应,表明北半球日照辐射量和中高纬温度梯度差对西风环流远距离输运粉尘起到重要作用,盛冰期时西风急流轴受北半球冰盖扩张影响显著南移导致西风环流范围也随之南移,从而对日本海40°~50°N上空西风影响减弱.

Novel Biomaterial for NCT - “Rigid” Particles of (DNA-gadolinium) Liquid-Crystalline Dispersions

The formation and physico-chemical properties of biomaterial, based on double-stranded (ds) DNA molecules and bearing high concentration of gadolinium, is described. This “rigid” biomaterial demonstrate a few unique properties: (i) the ds DNA molecules forming complexes with gadolinium are fixed in the spatial structure of “rigid” particles, (ii) an abnormal negative band in the circular dichroism spectrum permits to follow the formation of this biomaterial;(iii) local concentration gadolinium in the content of biomaterial can reach 40%. These properties show that we are dealing with a novel type of biomaterial strongly enriched by gadolinium. This opens a gateway for practical application of this biomaterial for neutron-capture reactions. A first attempt to apply this material for neutron-capture reaction in combination with neutron generator of thermal neutron flux was performed. Positive result obtained at destruction of CHO cells allows one to state that the advantages of this biomaterial are a simple manipulation with it, a possibility to adjust its gadolinium content, long-term stability of its physico-chemical properties, as well as a reduced cost of neutron-capture experiment.

BACKGROUND Functional bowel disorder(FBD)may be caused by a decrease in disaccharidase ***,the timely diagnosis of disaccharidase deficiency could lead to a better prognosis in patients with this *** To determine the potential value of intestinal disaccharidases glucoamylase,maltase,sucrase,and lactase in understanding the etiology and pathogenesis of *** A total of 82 FBD patients were *** to the Rome Iv criteria(2016),23 patients had diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),33 had functional diarrhea,10 had constipation-predominant IBS,4 had functional constipation,and 12 had mixed *** Dahlqvist method was used to measure disaccharidase activity in the brush-border membrane of mature enterocytes of the small intestine,in duodenal biopsies obtained during *** Lactase deficiency was detected in 86.5%of patients,maltase deficiency in 48.7%,sucrase deficiency in 50%,and glucoamylase deficiency in 84.1%.The activities of all enzymes were reduced in 31.7%of patients,and carbohydrase deficiency was detected in 63.5%of *** low activity of enzymes involved in membrane digestion in the small intestine was found in 95.2%of *** In 78 of the 82 patients with FBD,gastrointestinal symptoms were associated with disaccharidase deficiency.
