The automated energy generating comp.ex allows obtaining heat energy from waste coal-water slurry fuel （WCF） that is a mixture of fine coal p.rticles from coal enrichment wastes with water. The mixture is blown into the swirl chamber under the p.essure through the sp.cial sp.ayers. The received heat energy is used in different ways. One of the imp.rtant issues is to estimate the heat losses through the walls of this chamber. In this p.p.r we solved the boundary p.oblem of mathematical p.ysics to estimate the temp.rature fields in the walls of the swirl chamber. The obtained solution allows us to estimate the heat losses through the waUs of the swid chamber. The task of the mathematical p.ysics has been solved by a numerical finite-difference method. The method for solving this p.ob- lem can be used in the calculation of temp.rature fields and evaluation of heat losses in other thermal p.wer units.

Marine p.llution affects all life p.ocesses in aquatic organisms. The genotoxic effect of p.llution on the mussel Crenomytilus grayanus was assessed. Bivalves were collected from the ‘clean'(Vostochnaya Cove) and p.lluted(Nakhodka Bay) areas in the p.ter the Great Bay. The degree of DNA damage in C. grayanus was determined by alkaline comet assay as mean p.rcentage of DNA in tail, and the genetic damage index was calculated. Our results indicate that almost one-third of DNA in cells of gills and digestive gland of C. grayanus inhabiting the Nakhodka Bay had destructive changes comp.red to the individuals of this sp.cies from the Vostochnaya Cove. This study has shown that chronic p.llution of the aquatic environment causes destructive changes to DNA in gill and digestive gland cells of C. grayanus.

A model of the growth curve of microorganisms was p.op.sed,which reveals a relation-ship.with the number of a‘golden section’,1.618…,for main p.rameters of the growth *** treatment mainly concerns the ratio of the maximum asymp.otic value of biomass in the p.ase of slow growth to the real value of biomass accumulation at the end of exp.nential growth,which is equal to thc square of the'golden section',i.e.,*** are a few relevant theorems to exp.ain these ***,yet simp.er,methods were considered for deterrmining the model p.rameters based on hyp.rbolic functions.A comp.rison was made with one of the alternative models to demonstrate the advantage of the p.op.sed *** p.op.sed model should be useful to ap.ly at various stages of fermentation in scientific and industrial ***,the model could give a new imp.tus to the develop.ent of new mathematical knowledge regarding the algebra of the‘golden section'as a whole,as well as in connection with the introduction of a new equation at decomp.sing of any roots with any degrees for differences between constants and/or variables.

It is known that injection of carbon dioxide into the p.troleum reservoir(CO_(2) flooding) is one of the effective methods for enhanced oil recovery. CO_(2) flooding may be comp.icated by formation of CO_(2) hydrate p.ugs. It makes top.cal investigation of CO_(2) hydrate formation in the system gaseous CO_(2)-oil-water. In this work, the growth rates of carbon dioxide hydrate films at the water-oil as well as the water-gas interface are studied in the p.essure range of 2.30-3.04 Mp. and at temp.ratures between -5.4 and 5.0℃. It is found that the growth rate for the water-oil interface is 3.5 times lower than that for the water-gas interface with carbon dioxide. It is hyp.thesised that the observed decrease in the growth rate is related to the mechanical resistance of the oil comp.nents adsorbed on the interface to the growth of the hydrate film. The growth rate of the film has been shown to dep.nd on the exp.rimental p.ocedure,most likely due to the different initial concentrations of carbon dioxide in the aqueous solutions.

Carbon nanotube （CNT） arrays were fabricated on Ct-Me-N-（O） alloys with content of Ct in the range of 6-40 at.% by chemical vap.ur dep.sition. The Ct was a catalytic metal from the group.of the following elements： Ni, Co, Fe, p., while Me was a transition metal from the group.of IV-VII of the p.riodic table （where Me=Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ta, W, Re）. Carbon nanotubes were found to grow efficiently on the alloy surface with its comp.sition containing Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Hf, Nb or Ta. The growth of CNTs was not observed when the alloy contained W or Re. Additions of oxygen and nitrogen in the alloy facilitated the formation of oxynitrides and catalyst extrusion on the alloy surface. Rep.acement of the metals in alloy comp.sition affected the diameter of the resulting CNTs. The obtained results showed that the alloy films of varying thickness （10-500 nm） may be used for the CNTs growth. The resulting CNT material was highly homogenous and its synthesis rep.oducible.

The enthalp.es of vap.rization for the series of p.ridinium-based ionic liquids with bis（trifluoromethylsulfonyl）imide anion [Cnp.][NTfz] （n = 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6） have been determined with the quartz crystal microbalance technique combined with the Langmuir evap.ration. The linear dep.ndence of vap.rization enthalp.es on the chain length has been revealed. New ap.roach based on volumetric, surface tension, and sp.ed of sound measurements has been develop.d for estimation of heat cap.city differences between gas and liquid p.ase, which were required for adjustment of measured vap.rization enthalp.es to the ref- erence temp.rature 298 K.

Nowadays a lot of low-grade heat is wasted from the industry through the off- and flue-gasses with different comp.sitions. These gases p.ovide the sensitive heat with utilisation p.tential and latent heat with the comp.nents for condensation. In this p.p.r, p.ocess integration methodology has been ap.lied to the p.rtly condensed streams. A hot comp.site curve that rep.esents the gas mixture cooling according to equation of state for real gases was drawn to account the gas-liquid equilibrium. According to the p.nch analysis methodology, the p.nch p.int was sp.cified and op.imal minimal temp.rature difference was determined. The location of the p.int where gas and liquid p.ases can be sp.it for better recup.ration of heat energy within heat exchangers is estimated using the develop.d methodology. The industrial case study of tobacco drying p.ocess off-gasses is analysed for heat recovery. The mathematical model was develop.d by using MathCad software to minimise the total annualised cost using comp.ct p.ate heat exchangers for waste heat utilisation. The obtained p.yback p.riod for the required investments is less than six months. The p.esented method was validated by comp.rison with industrial test data.

Testing rocket and sp.ce technology objects in ground conditions for resistance to the imp.ct of meteoroids and fragments of sp.ce debris can be carried out using shap.d charges. To substantiate the design p.rameters of shap.d charges that ensure the formation of aluminum p.rticles in a wide velocity range(from 2.5 to 16 km/s), numerical modeling of the formation p.ocess was carried out within the framework of a two-dimensional axisymmetric p.oblem of continuum mechanics using three different comp.ting codes to increase the reliability of the results. The calculations consider shap.d charges with a diameter of 20-100 mm with aluminum liners of various shap.s. It is shown that the formation of p.rticles with velocities close to the lower limit of the considered range is ensured by gently slop.ng segmental liners of degressive thickness. To form higher-velocity p.rticles with velocities over 5 km/s, it is p.op.sed to use combined liners, the jet-forming p.rt of which has the shap. of a hemisp.ere of constant thickness or the shap. of a semi-ellip.oid or semi-sup.rellip.oid of rotation of degressive thickness.

Cop.er oxide nanop.rticles(CuO-Np.) are among the most widely used metal oxide nanop.rticles,which increases the chance of their being released into the marine *** the ap.lications of these p.rticles have increased in recent years,their p.tential imp.ct on the health of marine biota has also ***,the toxicological effects of these Np. in the marine environment are p.orly *** the p.esent study,the DNA damaging p.tential of CuO-Np. in the marine eastern mussel Mytilus trossulus was evaluated and comp.red to that of dissolved cop.er *** was assessed by the single cell gel electrop.oresis(comet) assay in mussel gill and digestive gland *** results showed that cop.er in both forms(CuO-Np. and dissolved cop.er) was accumulated to different extents in mussel *** mussel exp.sed to the dissolved cop.er attained higher concentrations of cop.er in the gills than in the digestive *** contrast to these results,it was found that CuO-Np. could induce much higher cop.er accumulation in the digestive gland than in the gills.A clear and statistically significant increase in DNA damage was found in both tissues of the Cu-exp.sed group.comp.red to the control *** results indicated that the CuO-Np.exp.sure p.oduced remarkable effects and increased DNA damage significantly in mussel gill cells *** should be noted that the digestive gland cells were p.one to accumulation following CuO-Np. when comp.red to the gill cells,while the gill cells were more sensitive to the genotoxic effects of *** results also suggested the need for a comp.ete risk assessment of engineered p.rticles before its arrival in the consumer market.
