For the last few years,the research interest in magnetoelectric(ME)effect,which is the cross-coupling between ferroelectric and magnetic ordering in multiferroic materials,has experienced a significant *** extensive recent studies are not only conducted towards the design of sensors,actuators,transducers,and memory devices by taking advantage of the cross-control of polarization(or magnetization)by magnetic(or electric)fields,but also aim to create a clearer picture in understanding the sources of ME responses and the novel effects associated with *** we derive analytical models allowing to understand the striking and novel dynamics of ME effects in multiferroics and further confirm it with atomistic ***,the role of strain is revealed to lead to the existence of electroacoustic magnons,a new quasiparticle that mixes acoustic and optical phonons with magnons,which results in resonances and thus a dramatic enhancement of magnetoelectric ***,a unique aspect of the dynamical quadratic ME response under a magnetic field with varying frequencies,which is the second harmonic generation(SHG),has not been discussed prior to the present *** SHGs put emphasis on the fact that nonlinearities should be considered while dealing with such systems.

Fast Z-pinches,plasma implosions driven by MA-level∼100-ns duration current pulses,are an active research area with applications to a broad range of High Energy Density Physics studies,including investigations of properties of materials at extreme pressures,1 opacities of various plasmas at conditions found in stellar interiors,2 and scaled modelling of astrophysical magnetohydrodynamics.3 The ability of fast Z-pinches to generate extremely bright pulses of X-ray radiation is of significant interest for Inertial Confinement Fusion(ICF)*** highest X-ray powers and yields are achieved using wire-array Z-pinch loads,which are capable of generating 2-MJ,250-TW,boratories(New Mexico,USA).

blood indicators of dry cows before and after administration of a drug STEMb

Objective: To determine the effect of a drug STEMb, which is a biostimulating tissue preparation based on chicken embryos, on the morpho-biochemical blood values of dry cows. Methods: The study was conducted on 60 Holstein cows, which were divided into three groups (group 1, group 2, and group 3), with 20 cows in each group. During the experiment, all animals in each group were subjected to the same condition of feeding and maintenance. The experimental animals were administered with the STEMb drug three times subcutaneously at an interval of 7 d within 30 d before calving. Group 1 were given 0.050 mL/kg body weight;group 2 were given 0.075 mL/kg body weight;group 3 were given 0.100 mL/kg body weight. Results: STEMb at 0.075 mL/kg body weight improved the blood cell composition, increasing the erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes, hemoglobin content, the total protein, albumins, alpha globulins, and gamma globulins. It reduced the beta-globulin index and provided a threshold level for the enzymes alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and A, M, G immunoglobulins. Conclusions: Use of the STEMb drug with a dose of 0.075 mL/kg body weight given subcutaneously three times at an interval of 7 d within 30 d before delivery is optimal for the prevention of complications during calving and postpartum periods, thereby providing an improvement in the blood cell composition.

Writing with atoms： Oxygen adatoms on the MoO2/Mo（110） surface

Writing at the nanoscale using the desorption of oxygen adatoms from the oxygen-rich MoO2＋x/Mo（110） surface is demonstrated by scanning tunnelling microscopy （STM）. High-temperature oxidation of the Mo（110） surface results in a strained, bulk-like MOO2（010） ultra-thin film with an O-Mo-O trilayer structure. Due to the lattice mismatch between the Mo（110） and the MOO2（010）, the latter consists of well-ordered molybdenum oxide nanorows separated by 2.5 nm. The MoO2（010）/Mo（110） structure is confirmed by STM data and density functional theory calculations. Further oxidation results in the oxygen-rich MoOa^x/Mo（110） surface, which exhibits perfectly aligned double rows of oxygen adatoms, imaged by STM as bright protrusions. These adatoms can be removed from the surface by scanning （or pulsing） at positive sample biases greater than 1.5 V. Tip movement along the surface can be used for controlled lithography （or writing） at the nanoscale, with a minimum feature size of just 3 nm. by moving the STM tip in a predetermined fashion, information can be written and read by applying specific biases between the surface and the tip.

Prediction of Melting Paths of Wollastonite-Containing Compositions

The article analyzed the main groups of thermal insulation(TIM) and slag-forming(SFM) mixtures produced by leading foreign companies: acidic ones based on the SiO2-Al2O3system, basic ones based on the Ca O-Mg O-Al2O3system and medium basic ones based on the Ca O(Mg O) system-Al2O3-SiO2. It is shown that achieving the necessary properties of the SFM and TIM requires strict observance of the mass content of the components of mixtures produced on the basis of synthetic materials in granular form with a given dispersion. Compliance with a given composition and dispersion is associated with the need to provide a given melting temperature(for intermediate ladles 1 250-1 450 °C, for molds 950-1 150 °C), neutrality to the cast metal, protection of the melt from secondary oxidation, minimization of heat loss from the melt mirror, absorption of non-metallic inclusions of various natures(Al2O3, Ca O, SiO2, TiO2, less often Mg O-containing) and sizes; as well as a number of specific requirements: compatibility with the working layer of the lining of the bucket, maintaining the work of the stoppers, minimizing harmful gaseous emissions, etc. It is known that Al2O3, TixOy, and Ca O refractory inclusions in steel cause the majority of defects on the surface of a cold-rolled sheet, therefore, the aim of the work was to analyze the physicochemical regularities and melting paths of the wollastonite-containing compositions during the assimilation of nonmetallic inclusions by them. To analyze the melting paths of the wollastonite-containing compositions in the Ca O-Al2O3-SiO2system, a diagram of the primary crystallization field of anorthite and the adjacent boundary curves is shown, indicating the directions of temperature drop and designating invariant points. The presented scheme adequately reflects the topological regularities of the state diagram of the Ca O-Al2O3-SiO2system. A series of Dy^(3+)-activated phosphors with the general formula LiGd_(9)(SiO_(4))6-x(GeO_(4))xO_(2):Dy^(3+)(0≤x≤3)characterized by an apatite-type structure were successfully synthesized via a simple solid-state technique involving a partial substitution of[SiO_(4)]^(4-)with[GeO_(4)]^(4-)*** effects of homovalent[GeO_(4)]^(4-)-[SiO_(4)]^(4-)substitution on the crystal structure,electronic structure,luminescence properties and thermal performance of LiGd_(9)(SiO_(4))6-x(GeO_(4))xO_(2):Dy^(3+)phosphors were studied in *** phases and microstructure were performed by using X-ray diffraction(XRD)Rietveld refinement method and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)*** substitution of smaller[SiO_(4)]^(4-)ions by larger[GeO_(4)]^(4-)ones makes their unit cell parameters increase gradually,and their band gaps *** photoluminescence spectra of LiGd_(9)(SiO_(4))6-x(GeO_(4))xO_(2):Dy^(3+)(0≤x≤3)exhibit obvious emission peaks located at 477,573 and 675 nm within a visible wavelength region,resulting in an excellent white ***,the I573nm/I477nm values of LiGd_(9)(SiO_(4))6-x(GeO_(4))xO_(2):Dy^(3+)(0≤x≤3)become larger with the partial substitution of[SiO_(4)]^(4-)by[GeO_(4)]^(4-),and their CIE chromaticity coordinates exhibit a yellow shift.

The Application of the Generalized Differential Formulation of the First Law of Thermodynamics for Evidence of the Tidal Mechanism of Maintenance of the Energy and Viscous-Thermal Dissipative Turbulent Structure of the Mesoscale Oceanic Eddies

The practical significance of the established generalized differential formula-tion of the first law of thermodynamics (formulated for the rotational coor-dinate system) is evaluated (for the first time and for the mesoscale oceanic eddies) by deriving the general (viscous-compressible-thermal) and partial (incompressible, viscous-thermal) local conditions of the tidal maintenance of the quasi-stationary energy and dissipative turbulent structure of the mesoscale eddy located inside of the individual fluid region of the ther-mally heterogeneous viscous (compressible and incompressible, respective-ly) heat-conducting stratified fluid over the two-dimensional bottom topog-raphy characterized by the horizontal coordinate x along a horizon-tal axis X. based on the derived partial (incompressible) local condition (of the tidal maintenance of the quasi-stationary energy and viscous-thermal dis-sipative turbulent structure of the mesoscale eddy) and using the calculated vertical distributions of the mean viscous dissipation rate per unit mass and the mean thermal dissipation rate per unit mass in four regions near the observed mesoscale (periodically topographically trapped by nearly two-dimensional bottom topography h(x) eddy located near the northern region of the Yamato Rise in the Japan Sea, the combined analysis of the energy structure of the eddy and the viscous-thermal dissipative structure of turbulence is presented. The convincing evidence is presented of the tidal mechanism of maintenance of the eddy energy and viscous-thermal dissipa-tive structure of turbulence (produced by the breaking internal gravity waves generated by the eddy) in three regions near the Yamato Rise subjected to the observed mesoscale eddy near the northern region of the Yamato Rise of the Japan Sea.

Nanoparticles(NPs)can be transported via the nose-to-brain(N_(2)b)***,quantitative data on their spatiotemporal dynamics and regulation of the N_(2)b transport are largely *** surveyed metal oxide/hydroxide NPs as magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)contrasts for quantitative N_(2)b *** containing divalent transition metals were the only ones capable of N_(2)b *** T1-weighted(T1W)MRI,we showed that Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were readily engulfed by olfactory receptor neurons(ORNs)without disrupting olfactory sensing,we mapped their N_(2)b *** neurons,the Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were localized to the cytosol,mitochondria,vesicles,moved at mixed fast and slow axonal transport velocities intraand extra-vesicularly through *** NPs’axonal transport is dependent on neuronal activity and microtubule *** Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were trans-synaptically transmitted through at least four synapses across the olfactory ***-synaptic transmission of the NPs was dependent on N-type Ca^(2+)channels and NMDA receptors but blocked by GAbAb receptor activation.A five-parameter Weibull signal increase/decrease model fitted to the T1W MRI data allowed for estimating kinetic parameters of Mn_(3)O_(4)-NP accumulation/*** and relative accumulation rates,but not elimination,correlated negatively with the number of synapses from ORNs,indicating a coupling of the NPs’N_(2)b transport with spontaneous neuronal ***,olfactory stimuli(2,5-dimethylpyrazine and acetophenone)significantly modulated and rerouted the Mn_(3)O_(4)-NP N_(2)b transport odor ***,the NPs’trans-synaptic transmission was impaired by aging and the onset of Parkinson’s *** data suggest new approaches to diagnostics,functional neuroimaging,controlling N_(2)b drug delivery.

Self-Assembly and Ordering of C60 on the WO2/W（110） Surface

The growth and ordering of C60 molecules on the WO2/W（110） surface have been studied by low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy （STM and STS）, low-energy electron diffraction （LEED）, and density functional theory （DFT） calculations. The results indicate the growth of a well-ordered C60 layer on the WO2/W（110） surface in which the molecules form a close-packed hexagonal structure with a unit cell parameter equal to 0.95 nm. The nucleation of the C60 layer starts at the substrate＇s inner step edges. Low-temperature STM of C60 molecules performed at 78 K demonstrates well-resolved molecular orbitals within individual molecules. In the C60 monolayer on the WO2/W（110） surface, the molecules are aligned in one direction due to intermolecular interaction, as shown by the ordered molecular orbitals of individual C60. STS data obtained from the C60 monolayer on the WO2/W（110） surface are in good agreement with DFT calculations.
