In this editorial we comment on the article published in the recent issue of the W orld Journal of *** focus specifically on the problem of occult hepatitis b virus(HbV)infection,that is a result of previous hepatitis b(PHb)and a source for reactivation of *** prevalence of PHb is underestimated due to the lack of population testing ***,this condition not only com-plicate anticancer treatment,but may be responsible for the development of other diseases,like cancer or autoimmune *** we unveil possible mecha-nisms responsible for realization of these processes and suggest practical approa-ches for diagnosis and treatment.

Modern trends in beam-driven radiation sources include the interaction of Cherenkov wakefields in open-ended circular waveguides with complicated dielectric linings, with a three-layer dielectric capillary recently proposed to reduce radiation divergence being a representative example [Opt. Lett. 45 5416(2020)]. We present a rigorous approach that allows for an analytical description of the electromagnetic processes that occur when the structure is excited by a single waveguide TM mode. In other words, the corresponding canonical waveguide diffraction problem is solved in a rigorous formulation. This is a continuation of our previous papers which considered simpler cases with a homogeneous or two-layer dielectric filling. Here we use the same analytical approach based on the Wiener–Hopf–Fock technique and deal with the more complicated case of a three-layer dielectric lining. Using the obtained rigorous solution, we discuss the possibility of manipulating the far-field radiation pattern using a third layer made of a low permittivity material.

This paper presents an investigation on the effect of JPEG compression on the similarity between the target image and the background,where the similarity is further used to determine the degree of clutter in the *** new clutter metrics based on image quality assessment are introduced,among which the Haar wavelet-based perceptual similarity index,known as HaarPSI,provides the best target acquisition prediction *** is shown that the similarity between the target and the background at the boundary between visually lossless and visually lossy compression does not change significantly compared to the case when an uncompressed image is *** future work,through subjective tests,it is necessary to check whether this presence of compression at the threshold of just noticeable differences will affect the human target acquisition *** values are compared with the results of subjective tests of the well-known target Search_2 database,where the degree of agreement between objective and subjective scores,measured through linear correlation,reached a value of 90%.

With the rapid development of information technology,IoT devices play a huge role in physiological health data *** exponential growth of medical data requires us to reasonably allocate storage space for cloud servers and edge *** storage capacity of edge nodes close to users is *** should store hotspot data in edge nodes as much as possible,so as to ensure response timeliness and access hit rate;However,the current scheme cannot guarantee that every sub-message in a complete data stored by the edge node meets the requirements of hot data;How to complete the detection and deletion of redundant data in edge nodes under the premise of protecting user privacy and data dynamic integrity has become a challenging *** paper proposes a redundant data detection method that meets the privacy protection *** scanning the cipher text,it is determined whether each sub-message of the data in the edge node meets the requirements of the hot *** has the same effect as zero-knowledge proof,and it will not reveal the privacy of *** addition,for redundant sub-data that does not meet the requirements of hot data,our paper proposes a redundant data deletion scheme that meets the dynamic integrity of the *** use Content Extraction Signature(CES)to generate the remaining hot data signature after the redundant data is *** feasibility of the scheme is proved through safety analysis and efficiency analysis.

Soil salinity has a major impact on rice seed germination,severely limiting rice ***,a rice germination defective mutant under salt stress(gdss)was identified by using chemical *** GDSS gene was detected via MutMap and shown to encode potassium transporter *** analysis of complementation and mutant lines demonstrated that OsHAK9 was an essential regulator responsible for seed germination under salt ***9 is highly expressed in germinating seed *** contents and non-invasive micro-test technology results showed that OsHAK9 restricted K^(+)efflux in salt-exposed germinating seeds for the balance of K^(+)/Na^(+).Disruption of OsHAK9 significantly reduced gibberellin 4(GA4)levels,and the germination defective phenotype of oshak9a was partly rescued by exogenous GA_(3)treatment under salt *** sequencing(RNA-seq)and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis demonstrated that the disruption of OsHAK9 improved the GA-deactivated gene OsGA2ox7 expression in germinating seeds under salt stress,and the expression of OsGA2ox7 was significantly inhibited by salt *** mutants of OsGA2ox7 created using clustered,regularly interspaced,short palindromic repeat(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated nuclease 9 approach displayed a dramatically increased seed germination ability under salt ***,our results highlight that OsHAK9 regulates seed germination performance under salt stress involving preventing GA degradation by mediating OsGA2ox7,which provides a novel clue about the relationship between GA and OsHAKs in rice.

This paper celebrates Professor Yongqi GAO's significant achievement in the field of interdisciplinary studies within the context of his final research project Arctic Climate Predictions: Pathways to Resilient Sustainable Societies-ARCPATH(https://***/en/projects/finished-projects/arcpath). The disciplines represented in the project are related to climatology, anthropology, marine biology, economics, and the broad spectrum of social-ecological studies. Team members were drawn from the Nordic countries, Russia, China, the United States, and Canada. The project was transdisciplinary as well as interdisciplinary as it included collaboration with local knowledge holders. ARCPATH made significant contributions to Arctic research through an improved understanding of the mechanisms that drive climate variability in the Arctic. In tandem with this research, a combination of historical investigations and social, economic, and marine biological fieldwork was carried out for the project study areas of Iceland, Greenland, Norway, and the surrounding seas, with a focus on the joint use of ocean and sea-ice data as well as social-ecological drivers. ARCPATH was able to provide an improved framework for predicting the near-term variation of Arctic climate on spatial scales relevant to society, as well as evaluating possible related changes in socioeconomic realms. In summary, through the integration of information from several different disciplines and research approaches, ARCPATH served to create new and valuable knowledge on crucial issues, thus providing new pathways to action for Arctic communities.

基于正色散的非线性偏振旋转(NPR)锁模光纤激光器,在稳定的连续波(CW)锁模状态和复合锁模状态下分析脉冲的偏振特性。通过单一调节泵浦功率,实现稳定的CW锁模状态下耗散孤子(DS)与类噪声(NLP)两种脉冲的切换。另外,固定泵浦功率,仅调节偏振控制器(PCs)可得到由脉冲状态自发切换引起的复合锁模状态。对比分析两种锁模状态下的脉冲偏振特性,发现纵模相位锁定的同步对应于脉冲正交偏振分量的完全同步,纵模相位在同步与去同步切换状态下的复合锁模对应于脉冲正交偏振分量的部分同步。实验结果表明,纵模相位间的同步状态受脉冲正交偏振分量影响。该工作对理解锁模激光器中复杂动力学、发展稳定的激光动力学技术具有指导意义。

The electric inversion technique reconstructs the subsurface medium distribution from acquired *** the basis of electric inversion,objects buried under the earth or seabed,such as pipelines and unexploded ordnance,are detected and located in a contactless ***,the process of accurately reconstructing the shape of the target object is challenging because electric inversion is a nonlinear and ill-posed *** this work,we present an inverse multiquadric(IMQ)regularization method based on the level set function for reconstructing buried *** the case of locating underwater objects,the unknown inversion area is split into two parts,the background and the pipeline with known *** geometry of the pipeline is represented based on the level set function for achieving a noiseless inversion *** obtain a binary image,the IMQ is used as the regularization term,which‘pushes’the level set function away from *** also provide an appropriate method to select the bandwidth and regularization parameters for the IMQ regularization term,resulting in reconstructed images with sharp *** simulation results and analysis show that the proposed method performs better than classical inversion methods.

This paper addresses a nonlinear partial differential control system arising in population *** system consist of three diffusion equations describing the evolutions of three biological species:prey,predator,and food for the prey or *** equation for the food density incorporates a hysteresis operator of generalized stop type accounting for underlying hysteresis effects occurring in the dynamical *** study the problem of minimization of a given integral cost functional over solutions of the above *** set-valued mapping defining the control constraint is state-dependent and its values are nonconvex as is the cost integrand as a function of the control *** relaxationtype results for the minimization problem are obtained and the existence of a nearly optimal solution is established.
