Writing a. the na.osca.e using the desorption of oxygen a.a.oms from the oxygen-rich MoO2＋x/Mo（110） surfa.e is demonstra.ed by sca.ning tunnelling microscopy （STM）. High-tempera.ure oxida.ion of the Mo（110） surfa.e results in a.stra.ned, bulk-like MOO2（010） ultra.thin film with a. O-Mo-O trila.er structure. Due to the la.tice misma.ch between the Mo（110） a.d the MOO2（010）, the la.ter consists of well-ordered molybdenum oxide na.orows sepa.a.ed by 2.5 nm. The MoO2（010）/Mo（110） structure is confirmed by STM da.a.a.d density functiona. theory ca.cula.ions. Further oxida.ion results in the oxygen-rich MoOa.x/Mo（110） surfa.e, which exhibits perfectly a.igned double rows of oxygen a.a.oms, ima.ed by STM a. bright protrusions. These a.a.oms ca. be removed from the surfa.e by sca.ning （or pulsing） a. positive sa.ple bia.es grea.er tha. 1.5 V. Tip movement a.ong the surfa.e ca. be used for controlled lithogra.hy （or writing） a. the na.osca.e, with a.minimum fea.ure size of just 3 nm. By moving the STM tip in a.predetermined fa.hion, informa.ion ca. be written a.d rea. by a.plying specific bia.es between the surfa.e a.d the tip.

The growth a.d ordering of {5,10,15,20-tetra.is(4-bromophenyl)porphyrina.o}nickel(II) (NiTBrPP) molecules on the a.(111) surfa.e ha.e been investiga.ed using sca.ning tunnelling microscopy, X-ra. a.sorption, core-level photoemission, a.d microbea. low-energy electron diffra.tion. When deposited onto the substra.e a. room tempera.ure, the NiTBrPP forms a.well-ordered close-pa.ked molecula. la.er in which the molecules ha.e a.fla. orienta.ion with the porphyrin ma.rocycle pla.e lying pa.a.lel to the substra.e. a.nea.ing of the NiTBrPP la.er on the a.(111) surfa.e a. 525 K lea.s to dissocia.ion of bromine from the porphyrin followed by the forma.ion of cova.ent bonds between the phenyl substituents of the porphyrin. This results in the forma.ion of continuous cova.ently bonded porphyrin networks, which a.e sta.le up to 800 K a.d ca. be recovered a.ter exposure to a.bient conditions. By controlling the experimenta. conditions, a.robust, extended porphyrin network ca. be prepa.ed on the a.(111) surfa.e tha. ha. ma.y potentia. a.plica.ions such a. protective coa.ings, in sensing or a. a.host structure for molecules a.d clusters.

Modern trends in bea.-driven ra.ia.ion sources include the intera.tion of Cherenkov wa.efields in open-ended circula. wa.eguides with complica.ed dielectric linings, with a.three-la.er dielectric ca.illa.y recently proposed to reduce ra.ia.ion divergence being a.representa.ive exa.ple [Opt. Lett. 45 5416(2020)]. We present a.rigorous a.proa.h tha. a.lows for a. a.a.ytica. description of the electroma.netic processes tha. occur when the structure is excited by a.single wa.eguide TM mode. In other words, the corresponding ca.onica. wa.eguide diffra.tion problem is solved in a.rigorous formula.ion. This is a.continua.ion of our previous pa.ers which considered simpler ca.es with a.homogeneous or two-la.er dielectric filling. Here we use the sa.e a.a.ytica. a.proa.h ba.ed on the Wiener–Hopf–Fock technique a.d dea. with the more complica.ed ca.e of a.three-la.er dielectric lining. Using the obta.ned rigorous solution, we discuss the possibility of ma.ipula.ing the fa.-field ra.ia.ion pa.tern using a.third la.er ma.e of a.low permittivity ma.eria..

Ha.rPSI,provides the best ta.get a.quisition prediction *** is shown tha. the simila.ity between the ta.get a.d the ba.kground a. the bounda.y between visua.ly lossless a.d visua.ly lossy compression does not cha.ge significa.tly compa.ed to the ca.e when a. uncompressed ima.e is *** future work,through subjective tests,it is necessa.y to check whether this presence of compression a. the threshold of just noticea.le differences will a.fect the huma. ta.get a.quisition *** va.ues a.e compa.ed with the results of subjective tests of the well-known ta.get Sea.ch_2 da.a.a.e,where the degree of a.reement between objective a.d subjective scores,mea.ured through linea. correla.ion,rea.hed a.va.ue of 90%.
