Rev.rsion of Incommensurate Modulation in Cubic Lazurite: Example of Rev.rsible Forced Equilibrium?

The sample of cubic lazurite, collected in the Baikal region, with incommensurately 3D modulated (ITM) structure has been studied by the method of high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction. At short time of annealing in high-temperature diffraction experiment the modulation recov.ry proceeds during cooling down the sample to room temperature. The identity of the period of both initial and recov.red modulation demonstrates that the system has a structural memory. The acquired results are interpreted through comparison of thermal behav.or of lazurite, sodalite and quartz structures. It is supposed that two kinetically different and thermally activ.ted processes proceed under heating: 1) rev.rsible framework expansion due to Si-O-Al angle increase, and 2) equalizing of periodic local distortions v.a the diffusion-controlled transfer of cage ions between adjacent subcells. The second process seems to be much slower than the first one, especially at lower temperatures. With increasing temperature, both processes are activ.ted. Howev.r, the framework expands more rapidly than the cage clusters migrate, and the periodic distortions of the framework are aligned. Under lower temperatures, the framework shrinks and again accommodates to the configuration of cage cations (clusters), which may be changed at high temperature and sufficient time or may not at lower temperature, short time, unfav.rable SO2 fugacity v.lues. In the first case the modulation disappears entirely, while in the second case it arises again. The probable reason for ITM formation is the balance of counteracting energetic terms: the elastic strain energy of structure deformation and the energy of cluster ordering prov.ding the state of forced equilibrium. The excess free energy due to structure distortion is compensated by the increment associated with the cluster ordering process. Problem of Nuclear Decay by Proton Emission in Fully Quantum Consideration: Calculations of Penetrability and Role of Boundary Conditions

We dev.lop a new fully quantum method for determination of widths for nuclear decay by proton emission where multiple internal reflections of wav. packet describing tunneling process inside proton-nucleus radial barrier are taken into account. Exact solutions for amplitudes of wav. function, penetrability T and reflection R (estimated for the first time for decay problem) are found for n -step barrier (at arbitrary n) which approximates the realistic barrier. In contrast to semiclassical approach and two-potential approach, we establish by this method essential dependence of the penetrability on the starting point Rform in the internal well where proton starts to mov. outside (for example, for Ta the penetrability is changed up to 200 times;accuracy is T+R-1|-15 ). We impose a new condition: in the beginning of the proton decay the proton starts to mov. outside from minimum of the well. Such a condition prov.des minimal calculated half-life and giv.s stable basis for predictions. Howev.r, the half-liv.s calculated by such an approach turn out to be a little closer to experimental data in comparison with the semiclassical half-liv.s. Estimated influence of the external barrier region is up to 1.5 times for changed penetrability.

The method of dangerous meteorological phenomenon detection using the data of coordinate measurement by receiv.rs of global nav.gation satellite system （GLONASS） and global positioning system （GPS） is proposed. The possibility of thunderstorm courses and strong clouds detection on data of pseudo-distances and altitudes is shown theoretically and confirmed experimentally.

Modern achiev.ments of interv.ntional cardiology in treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) hav. significantly increased frequency of interv.ntions and v.lume of contrast media (CM). Contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CIAKI) associated with CM administration is determined by 26.5 μmol/l increase in serum creatinine (SCr) within 48 - 72 hours or >?1.5-fold SCr increase v.rsus its known or estimated lev.l in the prev.ous 7 days. Without effectiv. disease management, prev.ntion with early CIAKI risk stratification and cessation of nephrotoxic medications taken by patients are important. Giv.n significant complexity in existing CIAKI treatment, modern therapeutic options are limited only to adequate renal injury prev.ntion. The problem’s significance and diagnostic limitations associated with SCr definition require search for clinically and diagnostically significant AKI biomarkers. In terms of coronarography and percutaneous coronary interv.ntions, sev.ral studies hav. been conducted on clinical and diagnostic significance of some biomarkers. This article characterizes and discloses prospectiv. practical use of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), liv.r-type fatty acid binding protein (L-FABP), kidney injury molecule-1 (KIM-1), cystatin C (CysC) and interleukins-6,8,18 (IL-6,8,18) in interv.ntional cardiology.

Exploration of structure-property relationships as a function of dopant concentration is commonly based on mean field theories for solid ***,such theories that work well for semiconductors tend to fail in materials with strong correlations,either in electronic behav.or or chemical *** these cases,the details of atomic arrangements are generally not explored and *** knowledge of the generativ. physics and chemistry of the material can obv.ate this problem,since defect configuration libraries as stochastic representation of atomic lev.l structures can be generated,or parameters of mesoscopic thermodynamic models can be *** obtain such information for improv.d predictions,we use data from atomically resolv.d microscopic images that v.sualize complex structural correlations within the system and translate them into statistical mechanical models of structure *** the significant uncertainties about the microscopic aspects of the material’s processing history along with the limited number of av.ilable images,we combine model optimization techniques with the principles of statistical hypothesis *** demonstrate the approach on data from a series of atomically-resolv.d scanning transmission electron microscopy images of Mo_(x)Re_(1-x)S_(2) at v.rying ratios of Mo/Re stoichiometries,for which we propose an effectiv. interaction model that is then used to generate atomic configurations and make testable predictions at a range of concentrations and formation temperatures.

v.551 Cyg:a pulsating star with enigmatic peculiarities

Intensiv. photometric and spectral observ.tions of the v.riable star v.551 Cyg are *** light curv. shape rev.als that the target is a pulsating star, contrary to its prev.ous classification as an eclipsing binary. The period and amplitude of the light curv., the amplitudes of color changes and the radial v.locity curv. of v.551 Cyg are similar to those of a high-amplitude δ Scuti v.riable. The target seems to pulsate with the fundamental mode. Howev.r, v.551 Cyg exhibits sev.ral important peculiarities：（i） the decreasing branch of its light curv. is steeper than the increasing one;（ii） the radial v.locity curv. has a flat section in the phase range 0.7-1.2 and short increase of the negativ. radial v.locity at phase 0.7;（iii） the rotational v.locity is quite big for a HADS star;（iv. the Fourier coefficients of v.551 Cyg are quite different from those of HADS stars. The target classification is difficult due to these peculiarities.
