This study proposes an alternative approach to the investigation of high flow hydrogeological fractures within the basement in the dabakala region of north-central Côte d’Ivoire. The used approach consists of exploring the subsurface by measuring electrical resistivity contrasts along the main shear direction within crystallophyllian rocks. Electrical resistivity profiling and vertical electrical sounding techniques, coupled with boreholes monitoring, have identified fractured aquifers whose best flow rates are around 96 and 116 m3/h. These aquifers mostly hosted in granodiorite have an average strength of 10 meters and are located at depth of around 100 meters. They are associated with open fractures created by tangential shear stresses that have affected the dabakala volcano-sedimentary trench formations. The search for fractured aquifers along the main shear direction offers great perspective for obtaining high flow rates.

This study focused on the interpretation of geophysical data collected from the Sissedougou prospect which is located at the southern end of the Korhogo-M’Benguebirimian trench. The geophysical surveys were carried out on two grids with two magnetometers and an induced polarisation unit composed of a transmitter and a receiver. The magnetic data allowed on one side the mapping of basic, intrusive and volcanic formations, weakly magnetic rocks produced by meta-sediments to be showed, and on the other hand to identify the continuity of the shear corridor observed southward and northward of the prospect. Induced polarisation data revealed the signature of sulphide and disseminated mineralization. The synthesis of the obtained results showed that deep NE-SW, NNE-SSW and N-S oriented fractures promoted the late rise of sulphide fluids. The setting of sulphide and gold mineralization in the southern part of the Boundiali trench is therefore controlled by ductile and brittle shearing.

Environmental pollution is a whole world concern. One of the causes of that pollution is the proliferation of plastic waste. Among these wastes there is expanded polystyrene (EPS), mainly from packaging. This study aims to valorize EPS waste by developing a composite material from EPS waste and wood waste. For this purpose, a resin made of EPS has been elaborated by dissolving EPS in acetone. That resin was used as a binder in volume proportions of 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% to stabilize the samples. Some of them were thermoformed. The method of elaboration was based on a device consisting of an extruder for mixing the constituents, and a manual press for shaping and compacting the samples. Analyses show that the drying time depends on the composition of the mixture. Increasing the resin content leads to reduce water absorption and porosity of the samples;it also contributes to homogenize the internal structure of the samples. However, for the same resin contents, the thermoformed samples are less porous;they have more homogeneous internal structure;anddana;"> absorb less water than non-thermoformed samples.

div style="text-align:justify;"> The use of vegetable fibers composites in structures sometimes presents significant fires risks because of their high flammability. This work aims to study the impact of the addition of mineral filler (clay) on the fire behaviour of wood-polystyrene composites and their mechanical properties. Thus, composites containing 25% of expanded polystyrene binder have been produced. On this base material, proportions of clay ranging from 0% to 15% were gradually added. These samples were elaborated by compaction and for some them, submitted to thermoforming after drying. Both kinds of sample were subjected to flame persistence test;flexural strength and compressive strength test were also measured. The results show that composites without mineral filler ignite continuously until the total consumption and when the mineral filler content increases the combustion time decreases. The addition of the mineral filler allows these composites to pass from class M3 of moderately flammable combustible materials to class M2 of hardly flammable materials, according to the M classification of construction and furnishing materials. The measurement of the mechanical properties shows that the strengths increase when the filler content goes from 0% to 10% and then decrease. This leads to set the optimum content of mineral filler around 10%. div>

Glena-humeral dislocation is rare. More than the half of those dislocations is unremarked because the diagnostic is not an emergency. A delayed diagnostic alters the functional prognostic and sometimes forces to do a complex surgery with complications whose success rate remains uncertain. We report a case of inveterate posterior shoulder dislocation on a 42-year-old adult occurred during a sport accident and treated by sub-scapulars transfer (modified Mac Laughlin’s technical). The aim of this article is to highlight this pathology to ameliorate its diagnostic rate indeed prognostic. Our diagnostic approach and injury, noticed during surgery and therapeutic propositions, are described at the light of literature data on this subject.
