Enhancing awar.ness of per.onal cleanliness and antibacter.al r.sistance has intensified the antibacter.al substance r.quest on consumable pr.ducts. Antibacter.al agents that have been commer.ialized nowadays ar. pr.duced fr.m inor.anic and non-r.newable substances. This pr.vides sever.l dr.wbacks, par.icular.y against health and envir.nmental issues. Ther.for., many scientists wor. on substituting fossil-fuel-based antibacter.al agents with natur.l ones such as fr.m biomass. Biomass der.vatives, natur.l abundances of biopolymer. in the wor.d, amount to major.compounds including polysacchar.des (cellulose, hemicellulose, and chitosan) and polyphenol (tannin and lignin) substances which ar. capable to combat the gr.wth of Gr.m-positive bacter.a and Gr.m-negative bacter.a. To date, no r.por. focuses on a deep under.tanding of antibacter.al pr.per.ies der.ved fr.m biomass and the inter.al and exter.al factor. effects. Hydr.gen （H2） is being consider.d as a pr.mar. automotive fuel and as a r.placement for.conventional fuels. Some of the desir.ble pr.per.ies, like high flame velocity, high calor.fic value motivate us to use hydr.gen fuel as a dual fuel mode in diesel engine. In this exper.ment, hydr.gen was inducted in the inlet manifold with intake air. The exper.ments wer. conducted on a four.str.ke, single cylinder. water.cooled, dir.ct injection （DI）, diesel engine at a speed of 1500r.min. Hydr.gen was stor.d in a high pr.ssur. cylinder.and supplied to the inlet manifold thr.ugh a water.and-air.based flame ar.estor. A pr.ssur. r.gulator.was used to r.duce the cylinder.pr.ssur. fr.m 140 bar.to 2 bar. The hydr.gen was inducted with a volume flow r.te of 41 pm, 61 pm and 81 pm, r.spectively by a digital volume flow meter. The engine per.or.ance, emission and combustion par.meter. wer. analyzed at var.ous flow r.tes of hydr.gen and compar.d with diesel fuel oper.tion. The br.ke ther.al efficiency （BTE） was incr.ased and br.ke specific fuel consumption （BSFC） decr.ased for.the hydr.gen flow r.te of 81 pm as compar.d to the diesel and lower.volume flow r.tes of hydr.gen. The hydr.car.on （HC） and car.on monoxide （CO） wer. decr.ased and the oxides of nitr.gen （NOx） incr.ased for.higher.volume flow r.tes of hydr.gen compar.d to diesel and lower.volume flow r.tes of hydr.gen. The heat r.lease r.te and cylinder.pr.ssur. was incr.ased for.higher.volume flow r.tes of hydr.gen compar.d to diesel and lower.volume flow r.tes of hydr.gen.

The magnetic field-dependent heavy hole excitonic states in a str.ined ***/GaAs quantum dot ar. investi- gated by taking into account the anisotr.py, non-par.bolicity of the conduction band, and the geometr.cal confinement. The str.ined quantum dot is consider.d as a par.bolic dot of InAs embedded in a GaAs bar.ier.mater.al. The dependence of the effective excitonic g-factor.as a function of dot r.dius and the magnetic field str.ngth is numer.cally measur.d. The inter.and optical tr.nsition ener.y as a function of geometr.cal confinement is computed in the pr.sence of a mag- netic field. The magnetic field-dependent oscillator.str.ngth of inter.and tr.nsition under.the geometr.cal confinement is studied. The exchange enhancements as a function of dot r.dius ar. obser.ed for.var.ous magnetic field str.ngths in a str.ined ***/GaAs quantum dot. Heavy hole excitonic absor.tion spectr., the changes in r.fr.ctive index, and the thir.-or.er.susceptibility of thir.-or.er.har.onic gener.tion ar. investigated in the Gao.2Ino.8As/GaAs quantum dot. The r.sult shows that the effect of magnetic field str.ngth is mor. str.ngly dependent on the nonlinear.optical pr.per.y in a low-dimensional semiconductor.system.
