Carbachol promotes gastrointestinal function during oral resuscitation of burn shock

AIM: To investigate the effect of carbachol on gastrointestinal function in a dog model of oral resuscitation for burn shock. METHODS: Twenty Beagle dogs with intubation of the carotid artery, jugular vein and jejunum for 24 h were subjected to 35% total body surface area fullthickness burns, and were divided into three groups: no fluid resuscitation (NR, n = 10), in which animals did not receive fluid by any means in the first 24 h postburn; oral fluid resuscitation (OR, n = 8), in which dogs were gavaged with glucose-electrolyte solution (GES) with volume and rate consistent with the Parkland formula; and oral fluid with carbachol group (OR/CAR, n = 8), in which dogs were gavaged with GES containing carbachol (20 μg/kg), with the same volume and rate as the OR group. Twenty-four hours after burns, all animals were given intravenous fluid replacement, and 72 h after injury, they received nutritional support. Hemodynamicand gastrointestinal parameters were measured serially with animals in conscious and cooperative state. RESULTS: The mean arterial pressure, cardiac output and plasma volume dropped markedly, and gastrointestinal tissue perfusion was reduced obviously after the burn injury in all the three groups. Hemodynamic parameters and gastrointestinal tissue perfusion in the OR and OR/CAR groups were promoted to pre-injury level at 48 and 72 h, respectively, while hemodynamic parameters in the NR group did not return to pre-injury level till 72 h, and gastrointestinal tissue perfusion remained lower than pre-injury level until 120 h post-burn. CO 2 of the gastric mucosa and intestinal mucosa blood flow of OR/CAR groups were 56.4 ± 4.7 mmHg and 157.7 ± 17.7 blood perfusion units (BPU) at 24 h postburn, respectively, which were significantly superior to those in the OR group (65.8 ± 5.8 mmHg and 127.7 ± 11.9 BPU, respectively, all P ying and intestinal absorption rates of GES were significantly reduced to the lowest level (52.8% and 23.7% of

Tumor recurrence, the Gordian knot of liver transplantation for malignancies, may be attributed to many parameters. The technique of the “classical” recipient hepatectomy is believed to be one of the potential reasons to cause tumor evasion because of the possible increase of circulating tumor cells, thus leading to an increased recurrent rate. On this background, the no-touch oncological recipient hepatectomy technique has been developed. A comprehensive review of the development and the key surgical steps of the no-touch recipient hepatectomy is presented. This technique might improve clinical outcomes, especially for those recipients who are at a high risk for tumor recurrence. Multicenter prospective studies should be set up to further validate the prognostic role of this technique in patients with liver cancer treated with liver transplantation.

Growth of GaAs on Si by Using a Thin Si Film as Buffer Layer

We report a novel technique for growing high-quality GaAs on Si *** process involves deposition of a thin amorphous Si film prior to the conventional two-step *** GaAs layers grown on Si by this technique using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition exhibit a better surface morphology and higher crystallinity as compared to the samples grown by conventional two-step *** full width at half maximum(FWHM)of the x-ray(004)rocking curve for 2.2 μm thick GaAs/Si epilayer grown by using this new method is 160 *** FWHM of the photoluminescence spectrum main peak for this sample is 2.1 *** are among the best results reported so *** addition,the mechanism of this new growth method was studied using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.

Iterative Learning Control for Discrete Parabolic Distributed Parameter Systems

In this paper, iterative learning control(ILC) technique is applied to a class of discrete parabolic distributed parameter systems described by partial difference equations. A P-type learning control law is established for the system. The ILC of discrete parabolic distributed parameter systems is more complex as 3D dynamics in the time, spatial and iterative domains are *** overcome this difficulty, discrete Green formula and analogues discrete Gronwall inequality as well as some other basic analytic techniques are utilized. With rigorous analysis, the proposed intelligent control scheme guarantees the convergence of the tracking error. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Deposition rate of hafnium crystal bar by iodide process

Single variable and deposition weight methods were adopted in the experiment. The hafnium crystal bar was fabricated by the iodide process. Influence of hafnium filament temperature（K value）, temperature controlling method, types of feed, and the loading methods on the deposition rate were studied. The results show that the K value, temperature control method, types of feed, and the loading methods have obvious effects on the deposition rate of the hafnium crystal bar. The deposition rate increases with the K value rising in the range of certain temperature;the salt bath controlling temperature method could effectively obtain the better deposition rate; the greater the contact areas of the feeds are, the faster the deposition rate ***, the optimal iodide deposition techniques of preparing hafnium crystal bar are as follows： hafnium turnings as feed,molybdenum feed retainer charging, salt bath temperature controlling under the higher K value.

氮肥追施量对菜油两用油菜籽产量的影响

菜油两用是发展油菜多功能利用的重要途径,明确不摘薹和摘薹油菜的追施氮肥用量对油菜籽产量及其构成因子的影响,可为菜油两用油菜科学施肥提供依据。2022-2023年在湖北省洪湖市和武穴市布置田间试验,主处理设置为不摘薹和摘薹,副处理为追施氮肥(N)0、22.5、45.0、67.5、90.0和112.5 kg/hm^(2)。与不摘薹油菜相比,洪湖和武穴试验点在摘薹(鲜量)分别为6217 kg/hm^(2)和6613 kg/hm^(2)的条件下,两个试验点的油菜籽分别平均减产5.0%和24.7%,其中不追肥和低追肥量处理的减产幅度高于中高追肥量处理。薹期追施氮肥显著提高油菜籽产量,且摘薹油菜对追施氮肥的响应程度高于不摘薹油菜。洪湖点不摘薹和摘薹油菜分别追施氮肥40.6 kg/hm^(2)和42.2 kg/hm^(2)时可获得最高产量,而武穴点相应的最佳追施氮肥用量分别为33.4 kg/hm^(2)和40.3 kg/hm^(2),说明菜油两用油菜的薹期追施氮肥用量要高于常规油菜。追施氮肥显著增加不摘薹油菜一次分枝上的角果数和摘薹油菜二次分枝上的角果数,摘薹与不摘薹相比能增加油菜的每角粒数但千粒重显著降低。摘薹油菜籽的含油率略高于不摘薹油菜,追施氮肥降低籽粒含油率,适宜追施氮肥能有效提高产油量。研究结果说明在油菜薹期摘薹6.4 t/hm^(2)左右的条件下无论是否追施氮肥均会显著降低油菜籽产量,追施氮肥可以弥补产量的损失,适宜氮肥(N)用量为40 kg/hm^(2)左右。

生态种植是“双碳”目标下中药材可持续生产的重要方向。为了在保护的基础上开发濒危的霍山石斛Dendrobium huoshanense,设施栽培和拟境栽培模式已被开发和应用,但2种栽培模式下温室气体排放及其全球增温潜势的差异尚不清晰,限制了对“碳友好型”生态种植模式的准确评估。基于静态箱法的温室气体排放通量监测为解决该问题提供了有效的途径。因此,该文在安徽大别山霍山石斛培育基地中选取设施和拟境栽培模式,在2023年4月—2024年3月每月进行温室气体采集,通过气相色谱仪检测3种重要温室气体的浓度,包括CO_(2)、CH_(4)和N_(2)O,并进一步计算了温室气体排放通量、累积排放量及全球增温潜势。结果发现:(1)设施和拟境栽培模式的温室气体排放通量存在显著差异,尤其是CO_(2)排放通量,表现为设施栽培>拟境栽培[(35.60±11.70)mg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)vs(2.10±4.59)mg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)];(2)设施栽培的年CO_(2)累积排放量显著高于拟境栽培[(3077.00±842.00)kg·hm^(-2)vs(221.00±332.00)kg·hm^(-2)],但CH_(4)和N_(2)O的年累积排放量无显著差异;(3)设施栽培模式的全球增温潜势显著高于拟境栽培[(3053.00±847.00)kg·hm^(-2)vs(196.00±362.00)kg·hm^(-2)]。总之,霍山石斛拟境栽培较设施栽培表现出明显的“碳友好”特征,符合药用植物生态种植的理念,对于“双碳”目标下霍山石斛碳友好型生态种植模式的落地推广具有重要的参考意义。

Atomic Force Microscopy of Surface Reconstructed SrTiO3 Vicinal Substrates for Epitaxial Growth of YBa_(2)Cu_(3)O_(7-δ) Thin Films

SrTiO_(3)(001) vicinal substrates of miscut 1°, 3°, and 6° toward the (001) plane were annealed at 800-1000°C in pure flowing O_(2) for 6h and examined by atomic force microscopy. The high temperature annealed vicinal SiTiO_(3)(001) displayed arrays of straight steps and smooth terraces. The step heights vary from about 2 to 6 unit cell depending on the annealing temperatures. At 1000°C, step bunching becomes obvious. The height steps of 1 unit cell are difficult to be observed by our atomic force microscopy. The YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin film grows epitaxially on the step-terrace surface with c-axis orientation by magnetron sputtering in the two-dimensional island mode. Prospect of step-flow growth is being discussed.

Feiji Recipe inhibits the growth of lung cancer by modulating T-cell immunity through indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase pathway in an orthotopic implantation model

Objective： Escape from the body＇s immune response is a basic characteristic of lung cancer, and indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase （IDO） plays a key role in mediating immune escape of non-small-cell lung cancer, which leads to recurrence and metastasis. Feiji Recipe, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, has the effect of stabilizing lesions and prolonging survival in patients with lung cancer. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanisms underlying the anticancer properties of Feiji Recipe. Methods： An orthotopic transplant model of mouse Lewis lung cancer, with stable expression of IDO gene, was established in C57BL/6 mice. Optical imaging was used to observe the effects of Feiji Recipe in the treatment of lung cancer in vivo. The effects of Feiji Recipe on the proliferation of mouse Lewis lung cancer cell line 2LL, 2LL-enhanced green fluorescent protein （2LL-EGFP） and 2LL-EGFP-IDO were investi- gated, and the apoptosis of T-cells was examined by 3-（4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl）-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetra zolium bromide using flow cytometry. chemical composition of Feiji Recipe was validated by high- performance liquid chromatography. Results： Compared to the control group, the survival of animals treated with Feiji Recipe was significantly prolonged （P〈0.0074）, and the IDO protein level decreased （P=0.0072）; moreover, the percentages of CD4＋CD25＋ T-cells and Foxp3＋ T-cells were significantly decreased （P〈0.05）. The molecular mechanism of Feiji Recipe against lung cancer may relate to the regulation of immune cells, such as T-cells and reg- ulatory T-cells. Conclusion： The molecular mechanism of Feiji Recipe in treatment of lung cancer is to restore the function of T-cells in the cancer microenvironment through interfering with the IDO pathway.
