The energy-savings of four hypothetical households in different climatic regions of Turkey were calculated via a nonlinear mixed integer optimization *** ideal insulation material,its optimum thickness,and the ideal window type were *** standard degree days method was used with five different base temperatures for heating and five different base temperatures for *** climatic conditions of the region,the properties of the insulation options,the unit price of fuel and electricity and the base temperature are used as model inputs,whereas the combination of selected insulation material with its optimum thickness and window type are given as model *** Wool was found to be the ideal wall insulation material in all *** optimum window type was found to depend on the heating or cooling requirements of the house,as well as the lifetime of *** region where the energy saving actions are deemed most feasible has been identified as Erzurum(Region 4),followed by Antalya(Region 1).Finally,the effect of changing the base temperature on energy savings was investigated and the results showed that an approximate average increase of$15/℃ in annual savings is *** model can be used by any prospective home-owner who would like to maximize their energy savings.

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL) of the stomach is a heterogenous disease. There are tumors without histological evidence of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) lymphoma, which are classified as pure or de novo DLBCL and those with evidence of MALT, which are classified as DLBCL(MALT). The association between Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) and gastric MALT lymphoma and remission with H. pylori eradication was shown in the 1990 s. In recent years, scientists from Taiwan and others have shown that high-grade gastric lymphomas may be dependent on H. pylori and eradication of this microorganism is effective in these cases. This entity is biologically distinct from H. pylori(-) cases and has a better clinical outcome. There are sufficient data about the complete remission in some of these cases with brief treatment with antibiotics. With this strategy, it is possible to save some of these cases from the harmful effects of standard chemotherapy. It is time to treat these cases with H. pylori eradication. However, strict histopathological follow-up is crucial and histopathological response must be evaluated according to the scoring system proposed by Groupe d'Etude des Lymphomes de l'Adulte. If there is no sufficient response, chemotherapy must be given immediately. These results suggest that H. pylori dependency and high-grade transformation in gastric MALT lymphomas are distinct events.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is still a public health problem worldwide, being endemic in some parts of the world. It can lead to serious liver diseases such as chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular cancer. The differences in host immune response can be one of the reasons for the various clinical presentations of HBV infection. Polymorphisms of genes encoding the proinflammatory and antiinflammatory cytokines, which are responsible for regulation of the immune response, can affect the clinical presentation of the infection. Particularly, the polymorphisms of the genes encoding cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-18, IL-28B, interferon-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α, tumor growth factor-β1, and regulatory molecules like vitamin D receptor and chemokine receptor 5 can be responsible for different clinical presentations of HBV infections. The genomic information about cytokines and other mediators can be important for determining high-risk people for developing chronic hepatitis or hepatocellular cancer and may be used to plan treatment and preventive approaches for these people. In this review, the current knowledge in the literature on the association between cytokine/regulatory molecule gene polymorphisms and clinical course of chronic HBV infection is summarized, and the clinical implementations and future prospects regarding this knowledge are discussed.

Background and amis:In our study,it was aimed to investigate the adherence of liver transplant recipients to immunosuppressant therapy,their self-control,and their self-management in the post-transplantation ***:The sample of this descriptive and cross-sectional study was composed of liver transplant *** personal information form,Immunosuppressant Therapy Adherence Scale,and the Liver Self-Control and SelfManagement Scale were used to collect data,and descriptive statistical methods,independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance analysis was used to analyze the collected ***:In light of the data collected in this study,it was identified that,of all recipients,73.6%were 45–64 years old,72.5%were male,25.2%were workers,and 44.6%had equivalent income and *** was observed that the recipients did not fully adhere to the immunosuppressant therapy regimen,and their self-control and selfmanagement levels were below the medium ***:The social support system of liver transplant recipients is very *** with a good social support system can receive caregiver support from their relatives,thereby supporting their self-control and *** liver transplant patients and the people providing care to them should be simultaneously provided with training programs and given information,and both groups should be supported in treatment and care processes.

Postoperative morbidity and mortality rates are still very high among patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).However,mortality rates secondary to morbidities that are detected early and well-managed postoperatively are lower among patients undergoing *** early detection of complications plays a very important role in the management of these patients,many ongoing studies are being conducted on this *** endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and biliary drainage history of the patient study group is important for comparison of C-reactive protein(CRP),an inflammatory parameter evaluated in the retrospective study by Coppola et al published in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery and titled“Utility of preoperative systemic inflammatory biomarkers in predicting postoperative complications after pancreaticoduodenectomy:Literature review and single center experience”.Therefore,it may be more appropriate to compare CRP values in randomized patients.

Hardaliye is a non-alcoholic beverage produced from red/black grapes by adding mustard seeds and lactic acid *** this study,it was aimed to determine the total phenolic content(TPC)and total antioxidant capacity(TAC)of hardaliye samples produced with three different grape varieties(Shiraz,Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)before and after in vitro digestion,to determine their bioaccessibility,and to investigate their effects on reducing malondialdehyde(MDA)formation in meat *** decreased after in vitro digestion in all three hardaliye samples and their bioaccessibility values were 57.64%,41.54%,and 52.78%(for Shiraz,Merlot,and Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye,respectively).After in vitro digestion TAC value according to the DPPH method increased in all samples and according to the CUPRAC method decreased in Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye samples,while it increased in the Shiraz *** in vitro digestion,MDA value increased in control meat samples and decreased in the samples treated with hardaliye *** treatment with other beverages was effective in reducing the post-digestion MDA value of some meat samples,the hardaliye samples were more effective in reducing this value and the lowest MDA bioaccessibility(%)values were determined in those treated with hardaliye *** samples with the lowest values were meat doner 1 treated with Shiraz hardaliye(10.27%);burger patties 2 treated with Shiraz hardaliye(22.40%);and meatball 2 treated with Cabernet Sauvignon hardaliye(7.12%).These findings indicate that hardaliye has potential beneficial health effects and can be used for the design of healthy eating patterns due to its lipid oxidation reducing potential in the gastrointestinal tract.
