Solar radiophysics is a rapidly developing branch of solar physics and plasma astrophysics. Solar radiophysics has the goal of analyzing observations of radio emissions from the Sun and understanding basic physical processes operating in quiet and active regions of the solar corona. In the near future, the commissioning of a new generation of solar radio observational facilities, which include the Chinese Spectral Radio Heliograph（CSRH） and the upgrade of the Siberian Solar Radio Telescope（SSRT）, and the beginning of solar observations with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array（ALMA）, is expected to bring us new breakthrough results of a transformative nature. The Marie-Curie International Research Staff Exchange（MC IRSES） “RadioSun” international network.a.ms to create a solid foundation for the successful exploitation of upcoming solar radio observational facilities, as well as intensive use of the existing observational tools, advanced theoretical modeling of relevant physical processes and observables, and training a new generation of solar radio physicists. The RadioSun network links research teams from China,Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and the Uk. This mini-volume presents research papers based on invited reviews and contributed talks at the 1st RadioSun workshop in China. These papers cover a broad range of research topics and include recent observational and theoretical advances in solar radiophysics, MHD seismology of the solar corona, physics of solar flares, generation of radio emission, numerical modeling of MHD and plasma physics processes, charged-particle acceleration and novel instrumentation.

Assessment of a fuzzy logic based MRAS observer used in a photovoltaic array supplied AC drive

In this paper a fuzzy logic （FL） based model reference adaptive system （MRAS） speed observer for high performance AC drives is proposed. The error vector computation is made based on the rotor-flux derived from the reference and the adaptive model of the induction motor. The error signal is processed in the proposed fuzzy logic controller （FLC） for speed adaptation. The drive employs an indirect vector control scheme for achieving a good closed loop speed control. For powering the drive system, a standalone photovoltaic （PV） energy source is used. To extract the maximum power from the PV source, a constant voltage controller （CVC） is also proposed. The complete drive system is modeled in MATLAB/Simulink.a.d the performance is analyzed for different operating conditions.

CROSS-LINkING OF AROMATIC POLY(THIOETHER)S

A novel cross-linking process using two high molecular weight aromatic poly（thioether）s, which were synthesized by the reactions of 4,4＇-thiobisbenzenethiol with 4,4＇-difluorobenzophenone and 4,4＇-difluorodiphenylsulfone, respectively, and commercially available lower molecular weight poly（p-phenylene sulfide） was investigated. These reactions were carried out in bulk by the addition of silver tetrafluroborate and α,α＇-dibromo-p-xylene at 190℃ over a period of 45 min. Furthermore, the same procedure could be modified to cross-link compression-molded films of these three polymers. The thermal and solubility behaviors of these polymers before and after cross-linking reactions, are presented.

The fields of behavioral ecology, conservation science, and environmental toxicology individually aim to protect and manage the conservation of wildlife in response to anthropogenic stressors, including widespread anthropogenic pollution. Although great emphasis in the field of toxicology has been placed on understanding how single pollutants affect survival, a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach that includes behavioral ecology is essential to address how anthropogenic compounds are a risk for the survival of species and populations in an increasingly polluted world. We provide an integrative framework for behavioral ecotoxicology using Tinbergen's four postulates (causation and mechanism, development and ontogeny, function and fitness, and evolutionary history and phylogenetic patterns). The aims of this review are: 1) to promote an integrative view and re-define the field of integrative behavioral ecotoxicology; 2) to demonstrate how studying ecotoxicology can promote behavior research; and 3) to identify areas of behavioral ecotoxicology that require further attention to promote the integration and growth of the field.

Malaria transmission can be affected by multiple or even hidden factors,making it difficult to timely and accurately predict the impact of elimination and eradication programs that have been undertaken and the potential resurgence and spread that may continue to *** approach at the moment is to develop and deploy surveillance systems in an attempt to identify them as timely as possible and thus to enable policy makers to modify and implement strategies for further preventing the *** of the surveillance data will be of temporal and spatial *** an interdisciplinary point of view,it would be interesting to ask the following important as well as challenging question:Based on the available surveillance data in temporal and spatial forms,how can we build a more effective surveillance mechanism for monitoring and early detecting the relative prevalence and transmission patterns of malaria?What we can note from the existing clustering-based surveillance software systems is that they do not infer the underlying transmission networks of ***,such networks can be quite informative and insightful as they characterize how malaria transmits from one place to *** can also in turn allow public health policy makers and researchers to uncover the hidden and interacting factors such as environment,genetics and ecology and to discover/predict malaria transmission patterns/*** network perspective further extends the present approaches to modelling malaria transmission based on a set of chosen *** this article,we survey the related work on transmission network inference,discuss how such an approach can be utilized in developing an effective computational means for inferring malaria transmission networks based on partial surveillance data,and what methodological steps and issues may be involved in its formulation and validation.

Bianchi Type-Ⅲ Cosmological Models with Gravitational Constant G and the Cosmological Constant A

Einstein field equations with variable gravitational and cosmological constants are considered in the presence of perfect fluid for the Bianchi type-Ⅲ universe by assuming conservation law for the energy-momentum tensor. Exact solutions of the field equations are obtained by using the scalar of expansion proportional to the shear scalar θ∝σ, which leads to a relation between metric potential B = Cn, where n is a constant. The corresponding physical interpretation of the cosmological solutions are also discussed.

Optimization of rollover stability for a three-wheeler vehicle

An auto rickshaw is a three-wheeled motor vehicle commonly found in Asia, with one front steering wheel and two driven wheels at the back. In automobiles, suspension is used to keep the wheels planted during motion. The trailing arm suspension generally found in Indian automobiles has its roll center on the ground. The vehicle＇s center of gravity is above the ground, which creates a moment during vehicle turning known as the roll moment. When this roll moment exceeds a certain limit, the vehicle becomes unstable. Roll rate can be expressed as degrees per lateral acceleration of the vehicle＇s sprung mass, and is influenced by factors such as wheel rate, motion ratio, and suspension rate. In order to determine an optimized three-wheeler suspension setup, a matrix selection method was used, in which every available suspension type in the market is rated based on selected suspension parameters such as handling, dynamics, and simplicity. From the overall weightage, each suspension type is analyzed and the most appropriate is selected. In order to achieve the objective of improving the overall rollover stability, certain modifications have been applied in the selected suspension design. Generally, if the roll rate of a specific vehicle axle is high, the percentage of weight transfer on the axle will also be high. By improving roll stiffness, the amount of roll can be decreased, and by optimizing the motion ratio, the roll moment can be controlled, thereby increasing the overall rollover stability.

Development of CeO_2 nanorods reinforced electrodeposited nickel nanocomposite coating and its tribological and corrosion resistance properties

A simple electrodeposition technique was used to prepare Ni-CeOnanorods composite coating(Ni-CeONRs) using Watt’s nickel plating bath containing CeOnanorods(NRs) as the reinforcement phase under optimized process conditions. The X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD) was used for the structural analysis of Ni-CeONRs composite coatings and their average crystalline size is ～22 nm for pure Ni and ～18 nm,respectively. The crystalline structure is fcc for the Ni-CeOnanocomposite coatings. The surface morphology of the electrodeposited Ni-CeONRs composite coatings was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Microhardness of pure Ni and Ni-CeONRs composite coatings are found to be 253 HV and 824 HV, respectively. The inclusion of CeONRs increases the microhardness of Ni-CeONRs composite coatings. The corrosion resistance behavior of Ni-CeONRs composite coating was evaluated by Tafel polarization and AC impedance methods. It is revealed that CeONRs reinforced Ni matrix shows higher microhardness and corrosion resistance than existing reported electrodeposited pure Ni and CeOnanoparticles reinforced Ni coatings.

Effect of extrusion on properties of Al-based composite
