Subsurface exploration is one of the most ambitious scientific objectives of the Hayabusa2 mission.A small device called small carry-on impactor(SCI)was developed to create an artificial crater on the surface of asteroid *** enables us to sample subsurface materials,which will provide a window to the *** physical properties of the resulting crater are also useful for understanding the internal structure of *** understanding of the crater and ejecta properties,including the depth of excavation of subsurface materials,requires accurate information on impact *** particular,the impact angle is a critical factor because it greatly influences the size and shape of the *** April 5,2019,the Hayabusa2 spacecraft deployed the SCI at 500 m of altitude above the asteroid *** SCI gradually reduced its altitude,and it shot a 2 kg copper projectile into the asteroid 40 min after *** the position of the released SCI is essential for determining the impact *** study describes the motion reconstruction of the SCI based on the actual operation *** results indicate that the SCI was released with high accuracy.

Positive Effect of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Visual Verbal Working Memory in Patients with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

Background: Working memory is an executive function that plays an important role in many aspects of daily life, and its impairment in patients with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects quality of life. The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) has been a good target site for transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) due to its intense involvement in working memory. In our 2018 study, tDCS improved visual-verbal working memory in healthy subjects. Objective: This study examines the effects of tDCS on ADHD patients, particularly on verbal working memory. Methods: We conducted an experiment involving verbal working memory of two modalities, visual and auditory, and a sustained attention task that could affect working memory in 9 ADHD patients. Active or sham tDCS was applied to the left DLPFC in a single-blind crossover design. Results: tDCS significantly improved the accuracy of visual-verbal working memory. In contrast, tDCS did not affect auditory-verbal working memory and sustained attention. Conclusion: tDCS to the left DLPFC improved visual-verbal working memory in ADHD patients, with important implications for potential ADHD treatments.

Viral hepatitis represents a major danger to public health,and is a globally leading cause of *** five liver-specific viruses:Hepatitis A virus,hepatitis B virus,hepatitis C virus,hepatitis D virus,and hepatitis E virus,each have their own unique epidemiology,structural biology,transmission,endemic patterns,risk of liver complications,and response to antiviral *** remain few options for treatment,in spite of the increasing prevalence of viral-hepatitiscaused liver ***,chronic viral hepatitis is a leading worldwide cause of both liver-related morbidity and mortality,even though effective treatments are available that could reduce or prevent most patients’*** 2016,the World Health Organization released its plan to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by the year 2030,along with a discussion of current gaps and prospects for both regional and global eradication of viral ***,treatment is sufficiently able to prevent the disease from reaching advanced ***,future therapies must be extremely safe,and should ideally limit the period of treatment necessary.A better understanding of pathogenesis will prove beneficial in the development of potential treatment strategies targeting infections by viral *** review aims to summarize the current state of knowledge on each type of viral hepatitis,together with major innovations.

Efficient monitoring of bone milling conditions in orthopedic and neurosurgical surgery can prevent tissue,bone,and tool damage,and reduce surgery *** researches are mainly focused on recognizing the cutting state using force ***,the force signal during the milling process is difficult and expensive to *** this study,a neural network-based method is proposed to recognize the cutting state and force during the bone milling process using sound *** modeling of the cutting force is performed to capture the relationship between the cutting force and the depth of cut in the bone milling *** force model is used to calibrate the training data to improve the recognition *** package transform is used for signal processing to understand bone-cutting phenomena using sound *** proposed system succeeds to monitor the bone milling process to reduce the surgical *** on standard bone specimens and vertebrae also indicate that the proposed approach has considerable potential for use in computer-assisted and robot-assisted bone-cutting systems used in various types of surgery.

Chemical Interpretation on the Multi-Stage Oxidation of Diethyl Ether

Multi-stage ignition and/or double NTC(negative temperature coefficient)behavior resulted from the low-temperature oxidation of ether compounds are still not clearly *** have investigated the oxidation mechanism of a stoichiometric DEE(diethyl ether)/air mixture by using a micro flow reactor with a controlled temperature profile to see the detail of low-temperature weak flame *** simulation was also performed to understand the chemical kinetics mechanism of observed weak flame *** measurement showed separated weak flame in the temperature range of 600 K-800 *** simulation also qualitatively reproduced this separated weak flame,and showed four peak of heat *** the reaction flow analysis,it was found that(1)O-O bond scission reaction of keto-hydroperoxide produced by DEE,(2)O-O bond scission reaction of CH3O2H,CH3CO3H,and C2H5O2H,(3)O-O bond scission reaction of H2O2,and(4)H+O2=O+OH are key chain branching reactions to explain the multi-stage oxidation.

Grafting is a plant propagation technique widely used in agriculture.A recent discovery of the capability of interfamily grafting in Nicotiana has expanded the potential combinations of *** this study,we showed that xylem connection is essential for the achievement of interfamily grafting and investigated the molecular basis of xylem formation at the graft *** and gene network analyses revealed gene modules for tracheary element(TE)formation during grafting that include genes associated with xylem cell differentiation and immune *** reliability of the drawn network was validated by examining the role of the Nicotiana benthamiana XYLEM CYSTEINE PROTEASE(NbXCP)genes in TE formation during interfamily *** activities of NbXCP1 and NbXCP2 genes were found in differentiating TE cells in the stem and callus tissues at the graft *** of a Nbxcp1;Nbxcp2 loss-of-function mutant indicated that NbXCPs control the timing of de novo TE formation at the graft ***,grafts of the NbXCP1 overexpressor increased the scion growth rate as well as the fruit ***,we identified gene modules for TE formation at the graft boundary and demonstrated potential ways to enhance Nicotiana interfamily grafting.

Study on the Effects of Flow in the Volute Casing on the Performance of a Sirocco Fan

The flow at the exit from the runner blade of a centrifugal fan with forward curved blades (a sirocco fan) sometimes separates and becomes unstable. We have conducted many researches on the impeller shape of a sirocco fan, proper inlet and exit blade angles were considered to obtain optimum performance. In this paper, the casing shape were decided by changing the circumferential angle, magnifying angle and the width, 21 sorts of casings were used. Performance tests, inner flow velocity and pressure distributions were measured as well. Computational fluid dynamic calculations were also made and compared with the experimental results. Finally, the most suitable casing shape for best performance is considered.

BACKGROUND Reports of mucormycosis,an infectious disease that commonly affects immunocompromised individuals,have increased during the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) *** mucormycosis associated with COVID-19 is rare but fatal and is characterized by an aggressive clinical course and delayed *** report documents a case of disseminated mucormycosis after COVID-19 *** is a rare pathological autopsy report on COVID-19-associated *** SUMMARY A 58-year-old man was transferred to our hospital with severe COVID-19 *** treatment for acute respiratory distress syndrome,he developed intra-abdominal bleeding that required a right hemicolectomy and ileostomy for *** ileostoma and surgical wound developed necrosis followed by sepsis and multi-organ failure,which led to *** autopsy revealed multiple thrombi associated with Rhizopus oryzae infection,which led to the necrosis of multiple infected *** Early suspicion and diagnosis followed by treatment are keys to better outcomes of mucormycosis in patients with severe COVID-19.
