In this paper,we present impedance spectroscopy of Sodium Bismuth Titanate-based materials belonging to(1-x)TNa_(1/2)Bi_(1/2)TiO_(3)-xBaTiO_(3)(x=0.04)(NBT-BT)***-BT ceramics are prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction method.X-ray diffraction technique showed single-phase polycrystalline sample with an ABO3 perovskite *** behavior and the impedance relaxation were investigated in a wide range of temperature(room temperature(RT)-500℃)and frequency(1 kHz-1 MHz).A broad dielectric constant peak was observed over a wide temperature range around the phase transition *** complex impedance plot exhibited one impedance semicircle identified over the frequency range of 1 kHz-1MHz,which is explained by the grain effect of the *** centers of the impedance semicircles lie below the real axis,which indicates that the impedance response is a Cole-Cole type relaxation.

The multiferroic Bi_(0.8)Gd_(0.1)M_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)O_(3),(where M=Ba(DB),La(DL)and Pb(DP))has been synthesized by using solid-state reaction *** of Ba,La and Pb substitution on the structure,electrical and ferroelectric properties of Bi_(0.8)Gd_(0.1)M_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)O_(3) samples have been studied by performing X-ray diffraction,dielectric and magnetic *** crystal structures of the ceramic samples have a tetragonal *** vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)measurement shows a significant change in the magnetic properties of Ba-doped Bi_(0.8)Gd_(0.1)M_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)O_(3) as compared to La-and Pb-doped *** is seen that coercive field(HC)and remanent magnetization(MR)increases with Ba-doped ceramics but decreases for La-and Pbdoped ceramics.

Bacteria obtained from the isolates of the biodiversity of riverine coast of Ganga identified as Bacillus Koriensis, when challenged with silver nitrate solution accumulated silver nanoparticles on the surface of its cell wall. These nanoparticles showed an absorption peak at 438 nm in UV-visible spectrum corresponding to the plasmon resonance of AgNPs. The transmission electron micrographs of nanoparticles in aqueous solution showed the production of reasonably monodisperse AgNPs (average particle size: 9.92 ±1.311 nm) by the bacteria. X-ray diffraction spectrum of the nanoparticles confirmed the formation of metallic silver.

Trend Analysis of Three Major Mosquito Borne Diseases in Punjab, India

Background & Objectives: Understanding the distribution and prevalence of three major mosquito borne diseases in an area is critical for the development of effective vector control strategies and public health interventions. The present study is therefore aimed to explore the epidemiological trend of malaria, dengue and chikungunya from 2012 to 2018 in Punjab. Methods: Quantitatively retrospective data was collected from Department of Health and Family Welfare, the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Punjab from 2012 to March 2018. The collected data was statistically analysed. Results: In case of malaria highest prevalent districts in Punjab are Mansa and Bathinda, for dengue Patiala, Ludhiana and S.A.S. Nagar and Patiala for chikungunya. Malaria was reported mainly from rural areas while dengue and chikungunya were found more in urban areas. For all three mosquito borne diseases, males were infected more as compared to females. Malaria cases were reported in months of August and September while dengue cases increased from July to November whereas chikungunya cases were highest in months of August to October. Conclusions: These findings help in concluding the trend analysis which in turn helps us to increase our focus on disease endemic districts along with boosting the vector control strategies in respective districts. Further the control of these mosquito borne diseases can be solved by employing adequate human resources, by increasing awareness in the community by conducting health camps and strengthening the entomological surveillance for timely reduction in the breeding of the vectors, especially before the repeated rise in cases during the period from July to November each year.

A Novel Low Temperature Synthesis of KNN Nanoparticles by Facile Wet Chemical Method

Sodium potassium niobate (KNN) (K0.5Na0.5NbO3) nanopowder with a mean particle size of about 20 - 30 nm was synthesized by wet chemical route using Nb2O5 as Nb source. A solution of K, Na and Nb cations was prepared, which resulted in a clear gel after the thermal treatment. Phase analysis, microstructure and morphology of the powder were determined by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). The obtained gel was first analyzed by Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and then calcined at different temperatures of 400℃, 500℃, 600℃ and 700℃. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns of the synthesized samples confirmed the formation of the orthorhombic crystal phase of K0.5Na0.5NbO3 at 500?C, a temperature significantly lower than that typically used in the conventional mixed oxide route. The process developed in this work is convenient to realize the mass production of KNN nanopowders at low cost and suitable for various industrial applications.

Background:Following combat-related,extensive soft tissue injury from gunshot wounds or blasts,prolonged duration from injury to full wound closure is associated with infection,increased morbidity and mortality,failure to mobilize,poor functional outcome and increased *** purpose of this study was to evaluate a novel treatment enabling early primary closure of combat ***:This was a retrospective study of 10 soldiers and civilians with extensive combat-related soft tissue limb injuries(5 gunshot wounds,5 blasts)treated using the TopClosure^(■)Tension Relief System(TRS)with simultaneous administration of regulated oxygen-enriched and irrigation negative pressure-assisted wound therapy(ROINPT)via the Vcareα^(■)***:Nine patients were treated during the acute phase of injury and one was treated following removal of a flap due to deep infection 20 years after injury and flap *** patients had upper limb injury and the rest lower limb *** the aid of the TRS and/or ROINPT,immediate primary closure during reconstruction was achieved in 6 patients and delayed primary closure in *** one patient required a skin graft to close a small area of the wound after most of the wound had been closed by delayed primary *** closure was achieved within 0–37 days(median:12.5 days,interquartile range:2.75–19.75)from ***:The TRS is a novel device for effective,early skin stretching and secure wound closure through the application of stress relaxation and mechanical creep,achieving primary closure of large defects using a simplified surgical technique and reducing the need for closure using skin grafts and flaps and the use of tissue *** supplemental oxygen to the wound by ROINPT reverses the reduced oxygen levels inherent in conventional negative pressure-assisted wound therapy,mitigating anaerobic contamination and reducing *** may accelerate the evacuation of infectious materia
