The development of low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells(LT-SOFCs)is of significant importance for realizing the widespread application of *** has stimulated a substantial materials research effort in developing high oxide-ion conductivity in the electrolyte layer of *** this context,for the first time,a dielectric material,CaCu_(3)Ti_(4)O_(12)(CCTO)is designed for LT-SOFCs electrolyte application in this *** individual CCTO and its heterostructure materials with a p-type Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)LiO_(2−δ)(NCAL)semiconductor are evaluated as alternative electrolytes in LT-SOFC at 450–550℃.The single cell with the individual CCTO electrolyte exhibits a power output of approximately 263 mW cm^(-2) and an open-circuit voltage(OCV)of 0.95 V at 550℃,while the cell with the CCTO–NCAL heterostructure electrolyte capably delivers an improved power output of approximately 605 mW cm^(-2) along with a higher OCV over 1.0 V,which indicates the introduction of high hole-conducting NCAL into the CCTO could enhance the cell performance rather than inducing any potential short-circuiting *** is found that these promising outcomes are due to the interplay of the dielectric material,its structure,and overall properties that led to improve electrochemical mechanism in CCTO–***,density functional theory calculations provide the detailed information about the electronic and structural properties of the CCTO and NCAL and their heterostructure CCTO–*** study thus provides a new approach for developing new advanced electrolytes for LT-SOFCs.

Geochemical modeling, fate distribution, and risk exposure of potentially toxic metals in the surface sediment of the Shyok suture zone, northern Pakistan

The objective of the current study was to assess the contamination of potentially toxic metals(PTMs) in weathered surface sediment, along stream tributaries, and surrounding area of the river Chitral, Shyok suture zone district Chitral, Pakistan. To understand the geochemical features of 113 sediment, samples were collected from the Mirkhani and Drosh area. Then, different statistical tools including the geoaccumulation index(Igeo), cluster analysis(CA), principal component analysis(PCA), and ecological risk assessment(ERA) were used to unravel the origin, intensity, and exposure level of PTMs to control risk and restore the ecosystem within the study area. The results for the PTMs namely nickle(Ni),chromium(Cr), copper(Cu), cadmium(Cd), lead(Pb), zinc(Zn), and cobalt(Co) in Mirkhani and Drosh were in the following ranges: 10 e150, 15 e210, 15 e250, 0.08 e1.00, 10 e70, 76 e240 and 14 e51; and 13 e240, 17 e210, 15 e150, 0.08 e0.60, 7 e140, 47 e150 and 13 e36 mg/kg, respectively. In consequence, the potential ecological risk caused by Pb, Ni, Cu, Co, Cr, and Zn is reflected by the percentages of samples with an ecological risk index(ERI) greater than one which were 100%, 91%, 100%, 100%, 92%, and 100%,respectively. However, the overall mean decreasing order of ecological risk of PTMs in the district Chitral was Pb > Ni > Cu > Co > Cr > Zn > Cd. Moreover, the PCA yielded 78% variability which indicated that mineral prospects play an important role in the contamination of sediment. Furthermore, the mineral phases of Pb and Zn suggested supersaturation, while that for Cd revealed unsaturation. The results of Igeo, ERI, and CA indicated contamination of PTMs in the study area. The ERI value of Pb, Ni, Cu, Co, Cr,and Zn was higher than 1 suggesting an ecological risk in the study area. We investigate the Bianchi type-V bulk viscous barotropic fluid cosmological model with variable gravitational constant G and the cosmological constant A, assuming the condition on metric A/A=B/B=C/C=m/tn potential aswhere A, B, and C are functions of time t, while m and n are constants. To obtain the deterministic mo del, we also assume the relations P = p - 3η H, p = 7P, η = ηop^s, where p is the isotropic pressure, η the bulk viscosity,0≤r≤1 H the Hubble constant, ηo and s are constants. The curing behavior of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A （DGEBA） with different phosphorus containing diamidediimide-tetraamines （DADITAs） was studied by DSC. Eight DADITAs of varying structures were synthesized by reacting 1 mole of pyromellitic anhydride （PMDA）/3,3＇-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride （BTDA）/1,4,5,8-naphthalene tetraearboxylic dianhydride （NTDA）/4,4＇-oxydiphthalic anhydride （ODPA） with 2 mole of L-tryptophan （T） in a mixture of acetic acid and pyridine （3：2 V/V） followed by activaton with thionyl chloride and then condensation with excess of phosphorus containing triamines tris（3-aminophenyl） phosphine （TAP） and tris（3-aminophenyl） phosphine oxide （TAPO）. DADITAs obtained by reacting PMDA/BTDA/NTDA/ODPA with L-tryptophan followed by condensation with TAP/TAPO were designated as PTAP, PTAPO, BTAP, BTAPO, NTAP, NTAPO, OTAP and OTAPO respectively. The structural characterization of synthesized DADITAs was done by FTIR, ~H-NMR, I3C-NMR, 31p-NMR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. Thermal stability of the isothermally cured epoxy was investigated using dynamic thermogravimetry analysis. The glass transition temperature （Tg） was highest in DGEBA cured using PTAP. All epoxy thermosets exhibited excellent flame retardancy, moderate changes in Tg and thermal stability. Due to presence of phosphorus in curing agents, all epoxy resin systems met the UL-94 V-0 classification and the limiting oxygen index （LOI） reached up to 38.5, probably because of the nitrogen-phosphorus synergistic effect.

Nanoparticles of neodymium orthophosphate （NdPO4） were prepared through a facile wet co-precipitation technique. The X-ray diffraction （XRD） studies revealed the material belonging to monoclinic monazite phase with crystallite size of 30.8 nm. Scanning electron microscopic studies showed that the material was composed of a large number of agglomerated spherical particles having grain size of 92 nm. Thermogravimetric analysis suggested that the structural phase transition was seen above 800 °C. The spectroscopic investigations were carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. UV-VIS-NIR ab-sorption spectrophotometer showed various transitions from the ground state 4I9/2 to various excited states within the 4f shell and the optical band gap came out to be 3.3 eV. The dielectric constant （ε′）, dielectric loss （tanδ） and ac conductivity ln（σac） were measured in the frequency range of 5 kHz to 1 MHz and in the temperature range of 40 to 500 °C. The dielectric measurement suggested that there was a shift in the value of transition temperature （Tc）, thereby indicating relaxor behaviour of the material. The activation energy value decreased with increase in frequency, thereby suggesting the role of mixed ionic-polaronic conduc-tivity.
