Right vocal cord paralysis in our pre.e.t case.was diagnose. on clinical and radiological e.amination which is pre.ipitate. by an anomalous right aortic arch with dive.ticulum. This is a ve.y uncommon vascular e.iology of hoarse.e.s and is e.tre.e.y rare. Be.ause.of this rarity, the.practicing otolaryngologist may miss this finding while.e.aluating a case.of idiopathic right vocal cord paralysis. Thus, the.authors fe.l that idiopathic or une.plaine. right vocal cord paralysis should be.routine.y inve.tigate. with a CT or MRI of ne.k and che.t with or without contrast to avoid such shortcomings. The.e.is only one.such case.of right vocal cord paralysis by right aortic which has be.n re.orte. e.rlie. in lite.ature.
