this paper presents a dynamic knowledge graph approach that offers a reusable,interoperable,and extensible framework for modelling power *** ontologies have been developed to support a linked data representation of infrastructure data,socio-demographic data,areal attributes like demand,and models describing power *** knowledge graph links the data with a hierarchical representation of administrative regions,supporting geospatial queries to retrieve information about the population within the vicinity of a power plant,the number of power plants,total generation capacity,and demand within specific *** agents were developed to operate on the knowledge *** agents performed tasks including data uploading,updating,retrieval,processing,model construction and scenario analysis.A derived information framework was used to track the provenance of information calculated by agents involved in each *** knowledge graph was populated with data describing the UK power *** alternative models of the transmission grid with different levels of structural resolution were instantiated,providing the foundation for the power system simulation and optimisation tasks performed by the *** application of the dynamic knowledge graph was demonstrated via a case study that investigates clean energy transition trajectories based on the deployment of Small Modular Reactors in the UK.

Having been a seemingly unreachable ideal for decades,3-D full-waveform inversion applied to massive seismic datasets has become reality in recent *** achieving unprecedented resolution,it has provided new insight into the structure of the Earth,from the upper few metres of soil to the entire *** by these successes,the technology is now being translated to medical ultrasound and non-destructive *** remarkable progress,the computational cost of fullwaveform inversion continues to be a major *** limits the amount of data that can be exploited,and it largely inhibits quantitative and comprehensive uncertainty *** notes complement a presentation on recent developments in full-waveform inversion that are intended to reduce computational cost and assimilate more data,thereby improving tomographic *** suite of strategies includes flexible and user-friendly spectral-element simulations,the design of wavefieldadapted meshes that harness prior information on wavefield geometry,dynamic mini-batch optimisation that naturally takes advantage of data redundancies,and collaborative multi-scale updating to jointly constrain crustal and mantle structure.

Impact of exercise on markers of B cell-related immunity:A systematic review

Background:B cells represent a crucial component of adaptive immunity that ensures long-term protection from infection by generating pathogen-specific *** alters B cell counts and immunoglobulin levels,but evidence-based conclusions on potential benefits for adaptive immunity are *** systematic review assessed current literatures on the impact of acute exercise and exercise training on B cells,immunoglobulins,and markers of secretory immunity in human ***:According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)guidelines,MEDLINE,Web of Science,and Embase were searched on March 8,***-randomized controlled trials and crossover trials investigating the impact of acute exercise or exercise training on B cell counts and proportions,immunoglobulin levels,salivary flow rate,or secretory immunoglobulin A secretion rate were *** and reporting of exercise training studies were assessed using the tool for the Assessment of Study Quality and reporting in *** characteristics,outcome measures,and statistically significant changes were summarized ***:Of the 67 eligible studies,22 applied acute exercise and 45 applied exercise *** included outcomes revealed significant alterations over time in acute exercise and exercise training context,but only a few investigations showed significant differences compared to control *** and plasma immunoglobulin A levels were most consistently increased in response to exercise ***:B cell-related outcomes are altered by acute exercise and exercise training,but evidence-based conclusions cannot be drawn with high confidence due to the large heterogeneity in populations and exercise ***-designed trials with large sample sizes are needed to clarify how exercise shapes B cell-related immunity.

Adaptive-optical 3D microscopy for microfluidic multiphase flows

Production of morphologically and physiologically variable seeds is an important strategy that helps plants to survive in unpredictable natural ***,the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and most agronomically essential crops produce visually homogenous *** automated phenotype analysis,we observed that small seeds in Arabidopsis tend to have higher primary and secondary dormancy levels than large *** analysis revealed distinct gene expression profiles between large and small *** seeds have higher expression of translation-related genes implicated in germination *** contrast,small seeds have elevated expression of many positive regulators of dormancy,including a key regulator of this process,the DOG1 *** in DOG1 expression are associated with differential production of its alternative cleavage and polyadenylation isoforms;in small seeds,the proximal poly(A)site is selected,resulting in a short mRNA ***,single-seed RNA sequencing analysis demonstrated that large seeds resemble DOG1 knockout mutant ***,on the single-seed level,expression of genes affected by seed size is correlated with expression of genes that position seeds on the path toward *** results demonstrate an unexpected link between seed size and dormancy phenotypes in a species that produces highly homogenous seed pools,suggesting that the correlation between seed morphology and physiology is more widespread than initially assumed.

this paper presents a knowledge graph-based approach for the dynamic control of a district heating network with integrated emission dispersion modelling. We propose an interoperable and extensible implementation to forecast the anticipated heat demand of a municipal heating network, minimise associated total generation cost based on a previously devised methodology, and couple it with dispersion simulations for induced airborne pollutants to provide automatic insights into air quality implications of various heat sourcing strategies. We create cross-domain interoperability in the nexus of energy and air quality via newly developed ontologies and semantic software agents, which can be chained together via the World Avatar dynamic knowledge graph to resemble the behaviour of complex systems. Furthermore, we integrate the City Energy Analyst into this ecosystem to provide building-level insights into energy demand and renewable generation potential to foster strategic analyses and scenario planning. Underlying calculations use building and weather data from the knowledge graph in place of inherent assumptions in the official software release, facilitating a more data-driven approach. All use cases are implemented for a mid-size town in Germany as a proof-of-concept, and a unified visualisation interface is provided, allowing for the examination of 3D buildings alongside their corresponding energy demand and supply time series, as well as emission dispersion data. With this work, we outline the potential of Semantic Web technologies to connect digital twins for holistic energy modelling in smart cities, thereby addressing the increasing complexity of interconnected energy systems.

One of the challenges in the field of multi-photon 3D laser printing lies in further increasing the print speed in terms of voxels/***,we present a setup based on a 7×7 focus array(rather than 3×3 in our previous work)and using a focus velocity of about 1 m/s(rather than 0.5 m/s in our previous work)at the diffraction limit(40×/NA1.4 microscope objective lens).Combined,this advance leads to a ten times increased print speed of about 108 voxels/*** demonstrate polymer printing of a chiral metamaterial containing more than 1.7×10^(12) voxels as well as millions of printed microparticles for potential pharmaceutical *** critical high-quality micro-optical components of the setup,namely a diffractive optical element generating the 7×7 beamlets and a 7×7 lens array,are manufactured by using a commercial two-photon grayscale 3D laser printer.
