Osteogene.is imperfecta（OI） comprises a group of heritable conne.tive tissue disorders gene.ally define. by recurrent fractures, low bone.mass, short stature and skeletal fragility. Beyond the skeletal complications of OI,many patients also report intolerance to physical activity, fatigue and muscle weakne.s. Indeed, recent studies have demonstrated that skeletal muscle is also ne.atively affected by OI, both directly and indirectly. Given the well-established interdependence of bone.and skeletal muscle in both physiology and pathophysiology and the observations of skeletal muscle pathology in patients with OI, we investigated the therapeutic potential of simultane.us anabolic targeting of both bone.and skeletal muscle using a soluble activin receptor 2B（ACVR2B） in a mouse model of type Ⅲ OI（oim）. Treatment of 12-week-old oim mice with ACVR2 B for 4 weeks resulted in significant increases in both bone.and muscle that were similar to those observed in healthy,wild-type littermates. This proof of concept study provides encouraging evidence for a holistic approach to treating the deleterious consequences of OI in the musculoskeletal system.

目的探索中国7~18岁儿童和青少年的体质量指数(Body Mass Index,BMI)和身高与国民经济发展之间的联系,并预测2025—2030年各年龄段儿童和青少年的身高和BMI,为中国未来制定体质干预政策提供参考。方法1986—2019年7~18岁儿童和青少年的平均BMI和身高数据来自国际心脏代谢危险因素数据库,中国经济发展指标来自中国统计年鉴的历年人均国内生产总值(Gross Domestic Product Per Capita,GDPPC)。分别对男女每一个年龄组检验GDPPC和BMI、身高之间的相关性,使用线性回归和非线性回归来预测随着GDPPC的增长,2025—2030年间每个年龄组的平均身高和BMI。结果男女各年龄组的GDPPC和BMI、身高之间高度相关(P均<0.01)。随着GDPPC的增长,男女各年龄组的BMI稳步增加,但身高增速逐渐下降,各年龄段存在差异。2025—2030年6年的GDPPC增长伴随着7~18岁男、女生的BMI每年增加约0.78%和0.49%,身高每年增加约0.09%和0.18%。结论7~18岁儿童和青少年的身高和BMI在1986—2019年间呈上升趋势,经济发展高度预测身高和BMI增加,要注意各年龄段男女生身高增长速度的差异以及预防儿童和青少年的超重肥胖趋势。

AIMTo evaluate complications and management outcomes of retaine. long-term plastic biliary *** plastic biliary stent placement was performed in 802 patients at Yeungnam University Hospital between January 2000 and December 2014. Follow-up loss with a subsequently forgotten stent for more than 12 mo occurred in 38 patients. We retrospectively examine. the cause of biliary stent insertion, status of stents, complications associated with biliary stents and management outcomes of long-term plastic biliary stents. Continuous variables were analyzed using the t test. Observed frequencies in subsets of the study population were compared using Fisher’s exact test and χ2 tests. Statistical significance was define. as P sertion were bile duct stone. (63.2%, 24/38) and benign bile duct stricture (52.6%, 20/38). Mean duration of retaine. plastic stent was 22.6 ± 12.2 mo, and in 10 cases (26.3%), stents were retaine. for more than 24 mo. Common bile duct (CBD) stone. or sludge were found in most cases (92.1%, 35/38). The most common complication was acute cholangitis (94.7%, 36/38). Stent removal by endoscopic approach was successfully performed in 92.1% (35/38) of the cases. In 3 cases, an additional plastic stent was inserted alongside the previous stent due to failure of the stent removal. Endoscopic removal of bile duct stone. was successful in 73.7% (28/38) of the cases. When patients were divided into two groups by duration of stent placement (12 to 24 mo vs over 24 mo), there were no differences in the development of cholangitis, presence of biliary stone., and success rate of endoscopic removal of stone. and biliary *** most common complication of retaine. long-term plastic biliary stents was acute cholangitis associated with CBD stone.. Increasing household ene.gy consumption, mainly due to consumption upgrading, will create tough challenges for China if that country is to achieve peak carbon emissions in 2030 and carbon ne.trality in 2060. However, this critical issue has not been explored comprehensively in the literature. Using China Family Pane. Studies data and the distribution dynamics approach, this article is the first study to examine.the relationship between quality of life (QOL) (proxied by consumption upgrading) and relative household ene.gy consumption (RHEC). The results show that convergence clubs exist in all QOL groups for the RHEC, but they are more evident in the groups with lower middle and low QOL. This is encouraging because they suggest that an improvement in QOL does not ne.essarily lead to a higher level of ene.gy consumption. The dataset was then divided into rural-urban and regional subgroups to further explore the impacts of these different characteristics on ene.gy consumption. Significant disparities are found among the same QOL groups between urban and rural households and among different regions. The results derived from this study lead to pragmatic policy suggestions in areas including ene.gy saving, emissions reduction, and particularly alleviation of ine.uality.

Background: The behavior of crane. reflects many of their survival strategies, but little has been known of the incubation strategies of crane., in which both parents share incubation duties, in response to cold temperatures in alpine.environments. The lack of information may restrict the effective conservation of the threatene. Black-ne.ked Crane.Grus nigricollis), a biparental bird ne.ting in high elevation ***: We directly observed and used infrared video cameras from 2014 to 2015 to study the incubation behavior and quantitatively measured the frequency and details of egg turning behavior in the Black-ne.ked Crane.at the Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve in western Gansu Province, ***: At lower ambient temperatures in the morning, crane.parents spent more time on the ne.t with less recess frequency and prolonged on-bout duration, while at higher temperatures around noon, the parents had more frequent recesses from incubation and shorter periods between ne.t exchanges. They adjusted the amount of time incubating by varying the recess frequency and the length of on-bout duration. Mean ne.t attendance and egg turning frequency of females were significantly higher than those of the males. The ne.t attendance and on-bout duration of females showed a significantly ne.ative relationship with those of males. The two parents responded differently to the change of temperature. Females spent more time on the ne.t at lower morning temperatures, while males increased their time on the ne.t at higher temperatures after noon.
