The main objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of inertia of nonlinear springs on the dis.e.sion behavior of discrete monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed *** developed model can represent the wave propagation problem in a non-homogeneous material consisting of heavy inclusions.e.bedded in a *** inclusions are idealized by lumped mas.e.,and the matrix between adjacent inclusions is modeled by a nonlinear spring with distributed ***,the model is capable of depicting the wave propagation in bi-material bars,wherein the first material is represented by a rigid particle and the second one is represented by a nonlinear spring with distributed *** discrete model of the nonlinear monoatomic chain with lumped and distributed mas.e. is first considered,and a closed-form expression of the dis.e.sion relation is obtained by the second-order Linds.e.t-Poincare method(LPM).Next,a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chain is derived directly from its discrete lattice model by a suitable continualization *** subsequent use of the second-order method of multiple scales(MMs)facilitates the derivation of the corresponding nonlinear dis.e.sion relation in a closed *** novelties of the present study consist of(i)considering the inertia of nonlinear springs on the dis.e.sion behavior of the discrete mass-spring chains;(ii)developing the second-order LPM for the wave propagation in the discrete chains;and(iii)deriving a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed ***,a parametric study is conducted to examine the effects of the design parameters and the distributed spring mass on the nonlinear dis.e.sion relations and phase velocities obtained from both the discrete and continuum *** parameters include the ratio of the spring mass to the lumped mass,the nonlinear stiffness coefficient of the spring,and the wave amplitude.

Objective: The intra-and postoperative anatomic complications, frequency, and influence of risk factors of the tension-free vaginal tape are described. study design: This was a pros.e.tive cohort study of 809 patients. Results: The total intraoperative complication rate was 6.2% . Previous prolapse surgery was a risk factor for complications (odds ratio, 2.86; 95% CI, 1.15-7.11). We found more intraoperative complications in patients with general anesthesia than with local analgesia with sedation (odds ratio, 4.14; 95% CI, 2.01-8.53). In teaching hospitals the postoperative complication frequency was higher than in non-teaching hospitals (odds ratio, 0.55; 95% CI, 0.35-0.85). The learning curve is short, and more postoperative complications were found in the second 10 patients who underwent operation by 1 surgeon (odds ratio, 1.94; 95% CI, 1.14-3.29). spinal analgesia gives fewer postoperative complications than local analgesia with sedation (odds ratio, 0.35; 95% CI, 0.13-0.92). Conclusion: Tension-free vaginal tape is a relative safe procedure; concomitant pelvic surgery can be performed safely. several risk factors for complications were identified: menopausal state, previous prolapse surgery, mode of anesthesia, teaching hospital, and the second ten procedures of each surgeon.

This paper presents an investigation of the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete(RC)structures in which s.e.r walls are the main lateral load-resisting elements and the participation of flat slab floor sys.e.s is not considered in the seismic design *** this regard,the behavior of six prototype structures(with different heights and plan layouts)is investigated through nonlinear static and time history analyses,implemented in the Opens.e. *** results of the analyses are presented in terms of the behavior of the slab-column connections and their mode of failure at different loading ***,the global response of the buildings is discus.e. in terms of some parameters,such as lateral overstrength due to the gravity flat slab-column *** to the nonlinear static analyses,in structures in which the slab-column connections were designed only for gravity loads,the slab-column connections.e.hibited a punching mode of failure even in the early stages of ***,the punching failure was.e.iminated in structures in which a minimum trans.e.se reinforcement recommended in ACI 318(2019)was provided in the slabs at joint ***,despite neglecting the contribution of gravity flat slab-column frames in the lateral load resistance of the structures,a relatively significant overstrength was imposed on the structures by the gravity frames.

KLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),er^(3+)/Ho^(3+)(Ln=Y,Yb,Gd)phosphors were prepared by solid-state reaction *** each of the Yb^(3+)/er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)/Ho^(3+)co-doped phosphors independently,phase confirmation and morphological examination were accomplis.e. using the X-ray diffraction technique and scanning electron microscope analysis.X-ray photoelectron s.e.troscopy analysis shows the charge state and exis.e.ce of lanthanides and *** lumines.e.ce emissions of green and red colour were detected for the synthesized *** changes in the upconverted emission intensities and colour output pertaining to the change of the lanthanide host matrix along with dopants were investigated for the prepared *** the upconversion lumines.e.ce,erbium-doped samples.e.hibit a predominance of red emission while holmium-doped samples display a prevalence of green *** rare-earth er/Ho doped KYbF4shows strong red emission compared to other ***_(4):Yb,er/Ho exhibits relatively significant green upconve rsion emissions,while Yb,er-doped KGdF_(4)host displays a 10-fold increase in green/red emission ratio with an increase in the input power of 20-780 *** photolumines.e.ce studies and decay curve analysis were carried out using UV light excitation for the developed phosphors.A higher lifetime of 2.2 ms was measured for the downshifting red emission in the Ho doped KYbF_(4)*** study suggests a potential for colour tunability in the upconversion and downshifting emissions through host modifications to the fluoride phosphor.

Camera-based object tracking sys.e.s in a given closed environment lack privacy and *** this study,light detection and ranging(LiDAR)was applied to track objects similar to the camera tracking in a closed environment,guaranteeing privacy and *** primary objective was to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed technique through carefully designed experiments conducted using two *** s.e.ario I,the study illustrates the capability of the proposed technique to detect the locations of multiple objects positioned on a flat surface,achieved by analyzing LiDAR data collected from several locations within the closed *** II demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed technique in detecting multiple objects using LiDAR data obtained from a single,fixed ***-time experiments are conducted with human subjects navigating predefined *** individuals move within an environment,while LiDAR,fixed at the center,dynamically tracks and identifies their locations at multiple *** demonstrate that a single,strategically positioned LiDAR can adeptly detect objects in motion around ***,this study provides a comparison of various regression techniques for predicting bounding box *** process regression(GPR),combined with particle swarm optimization(PsO)for prediction,achieves the lowest prediction mean square error of all the regression techniques.e.amined at *** tuning of GPR using PsO significantly minimizes the regression *** of the experiment pave the way for its.e.tension to various real-time applications such as crowd management in malls,surveillance sys.e.s,and various Internet of Things s.e.arios.

In addition to their visible motion such as swimming(e.g.,with the help ofﬂagella),bacteria can also exhibit nanomotion that is detectable only with highly sensitive instruments,and this study shows that it is possible to detect bacterial nanomotion using an AFM detection *** results show that the nanomotion characteristics depend on the bacterial strain,and that nanomotion can be used to sense the metabolic activity of bacteria because the oscillations are sensitive to the food preferences of the bacteria and the type of surrounding medium.
