Aim:To have a better understanding of the expression and regulation of versicanisoforms in neural precursor cells (NPC) and ***:By immunocytochemistry,RT-PCR,and real-time PCR,we examined the tem-poral expression of versican in NPC isolated from embryonic d 16 rats as wellas in oligodendrocyte (OL) lineage cells induced to differentiate from NPC,which mimicked the oligodendrogliogenesis in ***:We found thatversican was constitutively expressed in NPC and their lineage cells,includingneurons,astrocytes,and *** addition,2 versican isoforms,V1/V0 and V2,were found to express at low levels in NPC,but at significantly higher levels inOL lineage *** peak expression of versican V2 was found at the oligo-dendrocyte precursor cell ***,the treatment of 2 pro-inflam-matory cytokines,TNF-α and IFN-γ,enhanced the transcription of versican V2in NPC in a dose-dependent manner,but showed no effect on V1/V0 ***:Taken together,our results demonstrate that versican,particularlythe inhibitory V2 isoform,is increasingly expressed in OL lineage cells inducedto differentiate from *** increase in versican V2 expression after cytokinestimulation implies the interplay between the injury-induced upregulation ofinflammatory cytokines and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan-mediated inhibi-tion of axonal regeneration after central nervous system injury.

Prediction of daytime variations of HO_2 radical concentrations in the marine boundary layer using BP network

A Back-Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) was established to predict the daytime variations of HO 2 radical concentration observed in the field campaign RISFEX 2003 (RIShiri Fall Experiment 2003) conducted in September 2003 at Rishiri Island (45.07 N,141.12 E,and 35m asl) in the Sea of *** initial weight matrices and bias vectors for the network were optimized by a bee evolutionary genetic algorithm (BEGA).It was found that the input variables sensitive to HO 2 variation were photolysis frequency of O 3 to O(1 D) (J(O 1 D)),a composite parameter defined as the ratio of HC to NO x reactivity towards OH radicals (Φ),and the total aerosol surface area (A).The predicted results are closely correlated with the experimental data with the coefficient of determination (R2) close to *** addition,the means and ranges of the predicted HO 2 concentration agree with the observed data with the correlation coefficient (R),the index of agreement (IA) and the fractional bias (FB) in the range of 0.84-0.93,0.88-0.95 and 14%-7%,*** study demonstrates that BPNN is a potential tool to predict the daytime variations of HO 2 radical concentrations in the marine boundary layer (MBL).

Comparison of Concrete Carbonation Process under Natural Condition and High CO_2 Concentration Environments

To compare the results obtained under both natural and accelerated environments,the pH values of carbonated concrete were measured,the variation of pH values was determined,and the variations of Ca（OH）2 and CaCO3 contents in the carbonated concrete under natural condition and high CO2 concentration accelerated climate environments were determined by microcosmic test methods such as DTA and X-ray *** experimental results showed that the overall variation trend of pH values and phase component of carbonation layer of concrete under accelerated climate environments with high CO2 concentrations were the same as those under natural ***,the carbonation processes of concrete were considered consistent under both *** there was a difference in the length of semi-carbonation *** one measured under high CO2 concentration accelerated climate environments was shorter than that under natural *** investigation showed that it was caused by the differences in climate condition（temperature and relative humidity） as well as the properties of the *** concentration of CO2 and the duration of the carbonation process have no effect on the length of semi-carbonation ***,it is acceptable to simulate the natural condition by applying the high CO2 concentration artificial accelerated carbonation technique for the purpose of the study of carbonation process of concrete.

Identifying drug-target proteins based on network features

Proteins rarely function in isolation inside and outside cells, but operate as part of a highly intercon- nected cellular network called the interaction network. Therefore, the analysis of the properties of drug-target proteins in the biological network is especially helpful for understanding the mechanism of drug action in terms of informatics. At present, no detailed characterization and description of the topological features of drug-target proteins have been available in the human protein-protein interac- tion network. In this work, by mapping the drug-targets in DrugBank onto the interaction network of human proteins, five topological indices of drug-targets were analyzed and compared with those of the whole protein interactome set and the non-drug-target set. The experimental results showed that drug-target proteins have higher connectivity and quicker communication with each other in the PPI network. Based on these features, all proteins in the interaction network were ranked. The results showed that, of the top 100 proteins, 48 are covered by DrugBank; of the remaining 52 proteins, 9 are drug-target proteins covered by the TTD, Matador and other databases, while others have been dem- onstrated to be drug-target proteins in the literature.

本文从 P- SV转换波反射系数幂级数近似公式出发 ,给出了多个由不同参数组合表示的 P- SV转换波反射系数近似式 ,并探讨了利用这些近似式进行 AVO加权叠加参数反演的理论和方法。不同理论模型的加权叠加反演结果表明 ,在利用 P- SV转换波 AVO进行加权叠加反演时 ,直接反演纵横波速度、密度以及波阻抗信息具有较大的误差 ;若直接反演剪切模量Δμ/μ和Δ(μρ) / (μρ)型流体因子 ,则不仅具有很高的精度 ,而且反演结果稳定 ,适用于 P- SV转换波和多波 AVO参数反演。

Estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements: Case study

Supplying water to the ecological environment with certain quantity and quality is significant for the protection of diversity and the realization of sustainable development. The conception and connotation of eco-environmental water requirements, including the definition of the conception, the composition and characteristics of eco-environmental water requirements, are evaluated in this paper. The classification and estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements are then proposed. On the basis of the study on the Huang-Huai-Hai Area, the present water use, the minimum and suitable water requirement are estimated and the cor-responding water shortage is also calculated. According to the interrelated programs, the eco-environmental water requirements in the coming years (2010, 2030, 2050) are estimated. The result indicates that the minimum and suitable eco-environmental water requirements fluc-tuate with the differences of function setting and the referential standard of water resources, and so as the water shortage. Moreover, the study indicates that the minimum eco-environmental water requirement of the study area ranges from 2.84×1010m3 to 1.02×1011m3, the suitable water requirement ranges from 6.45×1010m3 to 1.78×1011m3, the water shortage ranges from 9.1×109m3 to 2.16×1010m3 under the minimum water requirement, and it is from 3.07×1010m3 to 7.53×1010m3 under the suitable water requirement. According to the different values of the water shortage, the water priority can be allocated. The ranges of the eco-environmental water re-quirements in the three coming years (2010, 2030, 2050) are 4.49×1010m3?1.73×1011m3, 5.99×10m3?2.09×1011m3, and 7.44×1010m3?2.52×1011m3, respectively.

Effects of Temperature and Atmosphere on Sintering Process of Iron Ores

The relationship of time to minerals composition in sinters is investigated by mineragraphy are claritied observation and component analysis, and the effects of temperature and atmosphere on mineralization process. Results are obtained as follows. The initial melt forms below the eutectic temperature of CaO·Fe2O3 and CaO·2Fe2O3, which is complex substance containing Ca, Fe, Si and Al, rather than the binary calcium ferrite melt. Minerals composition of binding phase is related to local content of silica in melt, which is influenced by temperature. Appearance of the melt promotes the transition from hematite to magnetite, which then alters the mechanism of calcium ferrite formation. Before the formation of magnetite, the contents of Fe and Ca within the multiple calcium ferrite decrease with temperature, but in the case of magnetite presence, the content of Fe increases solely with increase of temperature and decrease of oxygen potential. Temperature and atmosphere determine minerals composition together, and bring influence on sintering process in different ways. It can be deduced that temperature affects kinetics of the mineralization process, but atmosphere just plays a role in thermodynamics.

Improved results on state estimation for neural networks with time-varying delays

In this paper, some improved results on the state estimation problem for recurrent neural networks with both time-varying and distributed time-varying delays are presented. Through available output measurements, an improved delay-dependent criterion is established to estimate the neuron states such that the dynamics of the estimation error is globally exponentially stable, and the derivative of time-delay being less than 1 is removed, which generalize the existent methods. Finally, two illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
