In this paper,a new modified BFGS method without line searches is *** traditionalBFGS method,this modified BFGS method is proposed based on the so-called fixed steplengthstrategy introduced by Sun and *** some suitable assumptions,the global convergence andthe superlinear convergence of the new algorithm are established,*** some preliminarynumerical experiments,which shows that the new Algorithm is feasible,is also reported.

The microstructure evolution of Zr60Al15Ni25 bulk metallic glass during rolling at room temperature is investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) and selected area electronic diffraction(SAED).The HRTEM images show that shear bands are produced in the rolled specimens,indicating the essence of inhomogeneous deformation due to rolling,and that there exist nanocrystals with size of about 5-10 nm in the transition regions between the shear bands and the undeformed matrix in the rolled specimens with deformation degrees of 80% and 95%.Based on the polyhedral structure model and the shear transformation zone(STZ) theory,the influence of viscous flow,free volume,viscosity and the stress situation on the crystallization behaviors in the metallic glass during rolling is discussed.

Textures in different layers of superconductors based on YBCO system are analyzed using the methods of pole figure and con-ventional φ scans. It is shown that the φ scanning technology has only 1-dimensional description and could omit some information of3-dimensional orientaion distribution, which will influence the superconductor quality The pole figure method, in contrast, demonstra-tes the orientation distribution 2-dimensionally and gives a comprehensive view of thin filIn textUr, which is a much bettCr method fortexture analysis in superconducting films, in which there is commonly an unique high sharpness textur component.

The temperature field of FGH95 alloy droplet atomized by plasma rotatingelectrode processing (PREP) during solidification has been calculated through numerical analysisbased on equivalent sensible heat capacity method. And thus the relational curves among temperaturegradient of solid-liquid interface, moving velocity of solid-liquid interface and solid fractionduring solidification have been presented. The results indicate that the relation between averagetemperature gradient of solid-liquid interface and droplet size, and the relation between averagemoving velocity of solid-liquid interface and droplet size can be expressed during solidification.

Soap-free poly（methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate-methacrylic acid） latex particles with narrow size distribution were synthesized by seeded emulsion polymerization, and the porous particles were created by a stepwise alkali/acid treatment method. Effects of acid treatment conditions on the particle morphology were investigated. Results show that one to three pores were formed inside most of particles after post-treatment. At pH 7.0, when the treatment temperature was lower than 70℃, the size of particles and the volume of pores remained almost unchanged, and these two values increased significantly when the temperature was higher than 70℃. Both the particle size and the pore volume decreased with the increase of initial pH value and treatment time in the acid treatment. As the pH was below 4.0 and the treatment time was longer than 180 min, the particles shrunk in size.

The soil solidifying technology started booming from the 1940s and formed an integrated *** paper aimed to study the effect and mechanism of soil solidification by *** specimens treated by different methods were *** the compressive strengths of these specimens on day 7 were tested and the situ bacteria culturing technique in soil was *** the mechanism of soil solidification by microorganisms was explored according to the decomposition rate of substrate,pH value and the SEM and XRD *** results showed that the soil could be solidified by filling enhancement and precipitation of *** compressive strength increased with bacteria A but decreased with substrate B,and soil specimen got a higher strength with bacteria situ *** suitable pH value for bacteria A was 8–9,and the delay of lime addition could make substrate decomposition more completely,lower the influence by the existence of substrate,and improve the *** XRD and SEM images,precipitation of CaCO3 could be speculated.

Repetitious-Hot-Pressing Technique in Hot-Pressing Process

A new pressing method was proposed for hot-pressing process. Experimental results indicated that the porosity in Al2O3/TiC/ Ni/Mo (hereafter called AI2O3/TiC composite) composite compacts decreases by 6% after adopting this new technique, compared to traditional hot-pressing technique under the same sintering temperature. The flexural strength and Vicker hardness increase from 883 MPa to 980 MPa and from 16 GPa to 21.1 GPa, respectively. A theoretical model was given to analyze the densification mechanism of the composite in the process of repetitious-hot-pressing.
