Swelling-activated Cl- currents, I(ci,swell), were measured during hyposmotic shock in white Leghorn embryonic chick heart cells using the whole-cell recording of patch-clamp technique. Genistein, an inhibitor of protein tyrosine kinase (PTK), suppressed I(ci,swell), Under isosmotic condition phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA), an activator of PKC, elicited the Cl~ current similar to that in hyposmotic solution, whereas hyposmotic shock did not elicit I(ci,swell) in chelerythrine chloride(an inhibitor of PKC)-treated cells. Con-focal microscopy experiments using FITC-phalloidin as a fluorescent label of F-actin showed that the actin network was moved from cortical region of the cell to the center after hyposmotic shock as compared with the image under isosmotic condition. When the cells were treated with cytochalasin B (CB) or cytochalasin D (CD) under isosmotic condition the disruption of the F-actin integrity was observed, and I(ci,Sweii) was not elicited. Glycomics comparison was carried out by screening melanoma serum biomarkers between C57 mice with and without B16 implanted. O-glycans were released from 10 μL sera by β-elimination, purified by Graphitized Carbon Cartridge Solid Phase Extraction (GCC-SPE) and analyzed by MALDI-QIT-TOF-MS. MS raw data were acquired and exported by Launchpad software. MATLAB was then applied for further data analysis. 10 Glycans were considered to have stable changes after B16 implantation and 5 of them were under structural analysis via MS/MS.

The hmr19 gene was cloned from Streptomyces hygroscopicus subsp. yingchengensis strain 10- 22, a bacterium strain producing agricultural antibiotics. Sequence similarity comparison indicates that hmr19 gene may encode a predicted protein with 14 putative transmembrane α-helical spanners, belonging to the drug:H+ antiporter-2 family of the major facilitator superfamily. The expression of hmr19 in the mycelium of strain 10-22 was detected by Western blotting analysis. Gene replacement technology was employed to construct an hmr19 disruption mutant. The growth inhibition test against different antibiotics indicated that the mutant strain was 5–20 fold more susceptible to tetracycline, vancomycin and mitomycin C than the parental wild type strain. The mutant took up tetracycline much faster and accumulated more antibiotics than the wild type strain 10-22. While with the addition of an energy uncoupler, carbonyl cyanide m- chlorophenylhydrazone, the characteristics of the accumulation of [3H]tetracycline in these two strains were almost the same. It was thus concluded that hmr19 encoded a multidrug resistance efflux protein.

This paper establishes a limit theorem for solutions of backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs). By this limit theorem, this paper proves that, under the standard assumption g(t,y,0) = 0, the generator g of a BSDE can be uniquely determined by the corresponding g-expectationεg;this paper also proves that if a filtration consistent expectation S can be represented as a g-expectationεg, then the corresponding generator g must be unique.

The stationary Gamma-OU processes are recommended to be the volatility of the financial assets. A parametric estimation for the Gamma-OU processes based on the discrete observations is considered in this paper. The estimator of an intensity parameter A and its convergence result are given, and the simulations show that the estimation is quite accurate. Assuming that the parameter A is estimated, the maximum likelihood estimation of shape parameter c and scale parameter a, whose likelihood function is not explicitly computable, is considered. By means of the Gaver-Stehfest algorithm, we construct an explicit sequence of approximations to the likelihood function and show that it converges the true (but unkown) one. Maximizing the sequence results in an estimator that converges to the true maximum likelihood estimator and the approximation shares the asymptotic properties of the true maximum likelihood estimator. Some simulation experiments reveal that this method is still quite accurate in most of rational situations for the background of volatility.

The authors prove the global exact boundary controllability for the cubic semilinear wave equation in three space dimensions,subject to Dirichlet,Neumann,or any other kind of boundary controls which result in the well-posedness of the corresponding initial-boundary value *** exponential decay of energy is first established for the cubic semi-linear wave equation with some boundary condition by the multiplier method,which reduces the global exact boundary controllability problem to a local *** proof is carried out in line with [2,15].Then a constructive method that has been developed in [13] is used to study the local *** when the region is star-complemented,it is obtained that the control function only need to be applied on a relatively open subset of the *** the cubic Klein-Gordon equation,similar results of the global exact boundary controllability are proved by such an idea.
