Economic load dispatch (ELD) is an important optimization task in power systems. In the previous works, various researchers attempted to address this problem by both mathmatical and heuristic optimization algorithms. However, there are still two practically important issues that have not attracted sufficient attention: 1) the stability of these algorithms cannot be effectively ensured; 2) the performance of these algorithms on large scale ELD optimization tasks remains to be unsatisfactory. CLPSO is an effective global optimization algorithm. To strengthen the convergence ability of CLPSO, the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) is introduced into it. This results in a new algorithm hybrid of comprehensive learning particle swarm optimization and sequential quadratic programming (SQP-CLPSO). To assess the performance of SQP-CLPSO, it is compared with several state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithms (EAs) on the classical ELD optimization problems. Experimental results show that SQP-CLPSO has very good abilities of convergence, diversity maintainence and scalability, which make it suitable for complex ELD problems.

Part Ⅲ of AVS (China Audio and Video Coding Standard) is the first generic audio standard proposed in China and is becoming popular in some applications. For MP3 audio, some effiorts have been made to solve the copyright pirating and malicious modifications by the way of watermarking. To our best knowledge, similar work on the AVS audio has not been explored. In this paper, we present a novel robust watermarking algorithm for AVS audio. We find that the frame type in the AVS coded process can be used as a robust feature for watermarking. Then we design a novel watermarking algorithm which is integrated into the AVS audio coding process. The watermark bits are embedded into the compressed bit stream. At the extracting end, the watermark bits can be extracted from the compressed bit stream directly. This algorithm achieves robustness to decoding/re-coding attacks, and has low computation complexity for both embedding and extracting while preserving the quality of the audio signals.

Many previous (semi-) fragile audio watermarking schemes adopt binary images as watermarks, which reduce the security of watermarking systems. On the other hand, the content-based or feature-based second generation digital watermarking has limited applicability, and its partial feature points may be damaged by watermarking operations and various common signal processing. To overcome these problems, in this paper, a novel centroid-based semi-fragile audio watermarking scheme in hybrid domain is proposed. The theoretical lower limit of signal to noise ratio (SNR) for objective evaluation of the imperceptibility of watermarked audio signal is deduced, and the watermark embedding capacity and the tamper detection ability are theoretically analyzed. In the proposed scheme, first, the centroid of each audio frame is computed, then Hash function is performed on the obtained centroid to get the watermark, after that, the audio sub-band which carries centroid of audio frame is performed with discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and discrete cosine transform (DCT), and finally the encrypted watermark bits are embedded into the hybrid domain. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed scheme is inaudible and applicable to different types of audio signals. Furthermore, its ability of tamper detection and tolerance against common signal processing operations are excellent. Comparing with the existing schemes, the proposed scheme can effectively authenticate the veracity and integrity of audio content, and greatly expand the applicability of the content-based audio watermarking scheme.

In this paper we show that the twisted Ate pairing on elliptic curves can be generalized to hyperelliptic curves, and give a series of variations of the hyperelliptic Ate and twisted Ate pairings. Using the hyperelliptic Ate pairing and twisted Ate pairing, we propose a new approach to speeding up the Weil pairing computation. For some hyperelliptic curves with high degree twist, computing Weil pairing by our approach may be faster than Tate pairing, Ate pairing, and all other known pairings.

A current development trend in research on intelligent systems is to optimize a general intelligent prediction system into an individuation intelligent prediction system that is applied in specialized fields. Protein structure prediction is a challenging international issue. In this paper, we propose a new intelligent prediction system model, designed as a multi-layer compound pyramid model, for predicting secondary protein structure. The model comprises four independent intelligent interfaces and several knowledge discovery methods. The model penetrates throughout the domain knowledge, with the effective attributes chosen by Causal Cellular Automata. Furthermore, a high pure structure database is constructed for training. On the RS126 dataset, the overall state per-residue accuracy, Q3, reached 83.99%, while on the CB513 dataset, Q3 reached 85.58%. Meanwhile, on the CASP8 sequences, the results are superior to those produced by other methods, such as Psipred, Jpred, APSSP2 and BehairPred. These results confirm that our method has a strong generalization ability, and that it provides a model for the construction of other intelligent systems.

OpenMP is an emerging industry standard for shared memory architectures. While OpenMP has advantages on its ease of use and incremental programming, message passing is today still the most widely-used programming model for distributed memory architectures. How to effectively extend OpenMP to distributed memory architectures has been a hot spot. This paper proposes an OpenMP system, called KLCoMP, for distributed memory architectures. Based on the "partially replicating shared arrays" memory model, we propose an algorithm for shared array recognition based on the inter-procedural analysis, optimization technique based on the producer/consumer relationship, and communication generation technique for nonlinear references. We evaluate the performance on nine benchmarks which cover computational fluid dynamics, integer sorting, molecular dynamics, earthquake simulation, and computational chemistry. The average scalability achieved by KLCoMP version is close to that achieved by MPI version. We compare the performance of our translated programs with that of versions generated for Omni+SCASH, LLCoMP, and OpenMP(Purdue), and find that parallel applications (especially, irregular applications) translated by KLCoMP can achieve more effective performance than other versions.

In this paper,an energy-harvesting cognitive radio(CR) is considered,which allows the transmitter of the secondary user(SU) to harvest the primary signal energy from the transmitter of the primary user(PU) when the presence of the PU is *** the harvested energy is converted into the electrical power to supply the transmission of the SU at the detected absence of the *** adopting the periodic spectrum sensing,the average total transmission rate of the SU is maximized through optimizing the sensing time,subject to the constraints of the probabilities of false alarm and detection,the harvested energy and the interference rate *** simulation results show that there deed exists an optimal sensing time that maximizes the transmission rate,and the maximum transmission rate of the energy-harvesting CR can better approach to that of the traditional CR with the increasing of the detection probability.

Nowadays,many steganographic tools have been developed,and secret messages can be imperceptibly transmitted through public *** paper concentrates on steganalysis against spatial least significant bit(LSB) matching,which is the prototype of many advanced information hiding *** existing algorithms deal with steganalysis problems by using the dependencies between adjacent *** another aspect,this paper calculates the differences among pixel pairs and proves that the histogram of difference values will be smoothed by stego *** calculate the difference histogram characteristic function(DHCF) and deduce that the moment of DHCFs(DHCFM) will be diminished after stego bits are hidden in the ***,we compute the DHCFMs as the discriminative *** calibrate the features by decreasing the influence of image content on them and train support vector machine classifiers based on the calibrated *** results demonstrate that the DHCFMs calculated with nonadjacent pixels are helpful to detect stego messages hidden by LSB matching.

In this paper, an emotional mathematical model and affective state probability description space of a humanoid robot are set up on the basis of psycho-dynamics＇ psychological energy and affective energy conservation law. The emotional state transferring process and hidden Markov chain algorithm of stimulating transition process are then studied. The simulation results show that the mathematical model is applicable to the authentic affective state change rule of human beings. Finally, the gait generation experiment results of control signal and electric current tracking wave-form are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed mathematical model.
