Fluid-induced high-temperature metasomatism at Rundv?gshetta in the Lützow-Holm Complex, East Antarctica: Implications for the role of brine during granulite formation

We report new petrological, phase equilibria modeling, and fluid inclusion data for pelitic and mafic granulites from Rundv?gshetta in the highest-grade region of the Neoproterozoic Lützow-Holm Complex(LHC),East Antarctica, and provide unequivocal evidence for fluid-rock interaction and high-temperature metasomatism in the presence of brine fluid. The studied locality is composed dominantly of well-foliated pelitic granulite(K-feldspar+quartz+sillimanite+garnet+ilmenite) with foliation-parallel bands and/or layers of mafic granulite(plagioclase+orthopyroxene+garnet+ilmenite+quartz+biotite). The boundary between the two lithologies is defined by thin(about 1 -20 cm in thick) garnet-rich layers with a common mineral assemblage of garnet+plagioclase+quartz+ilmenite+biotite ? orthopyroxene. Systematic increase of grossular and decrease of pyrope contents in garnet as well as decreasing Mg/(Fe+Mg) ratio of biotite from the pelitic granulite to garnet-rich rock and mafic granulite suggest that the garnet-rich layer was formed by metasomatic interaction between the two granulite lithologies. Phase equilibria modeling in the system NCKFMASHTO demonstrates that the metasomatism took place at 850 -860℃, which is slightly lower than the peak metamorphism of this region, and the modal abundance of garnet is the highest along the metapeliteemetabasite boundary(up to 40%), which is consistent with the field and thin section observations. The occurrence of brine(7.0 -10.9 wt.% Na Cleqfor ice melting or 25.1 -25.5 wt.% NaC leqfor hydrohalite melting) fluid inclusions as a primary phase trapped within plagioclase in the garnet-rich layer and the occurrence of Cl-rich biotite(Cl = 0.22 -0.60 wt.%) in the metasomatic rock compared to that in pelitic(0.15 -0.24 wt.%) and mafic(0.06-0.13 wt.%) granulites suggest infiltration of brine fluid could have given rise to the high-temperature metasomatism. The chemical compositions of the dichloromethane extracts of inner and outer barks from six Pinus species（P.elliotii,P.oocarpa,P.caribeae,P.merkusii,P.montezumae,and P.insularis） grown in Indonesia were investigated by GC and GC–MS.Generally,the amounts of extractive contents were higher in the inner bark than in the outer bark except for P.merksuii.Fatty acids,monoterpenes,sesquiterpenes,resin acids,triterpenoids,and steroids were detected and quantified.Inner and outer barks differed not only in content of these compounds but also in their composition.Fatty acids and alcohols were the major classes of lipophilic compounds in the outer bark of P.caribeae, P.insularis,and P.montezumae.Steroids and triterpenoids were the dominant compounds identified in the inner bark of P.elliotii,P.insularis,and P.merkusii.Resin acids were the most abundant group in the inner bark of P.oocarpa whereas monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes were recorded in minor quantities in both bark layers of all species.

针对Snort规则间的相互关系难以把握的问题,基于集合理论对Snort规则间的拓扑关系进行了分类,并提出了Snort规则间拓扑关系的计算方法.在已有的Snort规则相互关系分析方法中,通常只根据Snort规则的头部信息来决定整条规则之间的相互关系.所提方法在不考虑Snort规则动作的情况下,对已有的方法进行了改进,能够同时根据Snort规则的头部信息和选项部分的取值来分类和计算整条Snort规则之间的拓扑关系.另外,使用函数式编程语言Haskell实现了所提方法.实验结果表明,该方法能够快速有效地计算出Snort规则间的拓扑关系,并且能为后续的Snort规则间的冲突检测提供重要的依据.

全髋关节置换术(total hip arthroplasty,THA)是近50年来最成功的骨科手术之一,具有20年以上的良好生存率。但是THA术后髋关节不稳、撞击、脱位和衬垫磨损仍然是导致THA失败和翻修的常见原因。为了降低术后各类并发症发生的风险,脊柱-髋关节-骨盆活动度异常及其对THA生存率的影响引起了越来越多的关注。基于这一理念,在制定THA术前计划时应充分考虑患者自身骨盆活动度的特点,根据患者矢状面平衡和骨盆活动度设置个性化的前倾角和外展角,以减少术后不良事件的发生,延长假体的寿命。新近的研究表明患者年龄老化,日常生活中姿势的转换,高体质指数,以及不同的手术入路及体位都会对脊柱-骨盆活动度产生影响,由于骨盆活动度的改变会转化成髋臼方位改变,患者在术中或术后骨盆活动度变化过大,都有可能造成术中假体方位设置不良,术后发生假体撞击,脱位,加速衬垫磨损,最终缩短假体的使用寿命。所以在术前对脊柱-骨盆活动度进行测量和评估,通过研究术中骨盆活动度变化的影响因素及使用辅助定位装置以精确地放置臼杯,在术后观察患者骨盆活动度变化及因此产生的不良后果是一项十分有意义的工作。以近年来国外文献所报道的脊柱-骨盆-髋关节之间的相互关系为切入点,介绍脊柱-骨盆活动度的影响因素及由此来指导THA围手术期诊疗策略的新进展。

该文利用2006—2018年日本上市公司与银行的匹配数据,研究了公司温室气体(GHG)排放对银行贷款的影响。之前的研究结果表明,气候风险虽然对于公司债券、银团贷款定价具有显著影响,但经济意义不显著。该文从贷款金额的角度进一步考察了银行的贷款行为。研究发现,银行显著减少了对高排放公司的贷款。此外,银行对信贷风险较低的借款公司的温室气体排放更为敏感,即高温室气体排放意味着长期的高信贷风险。本刊编译此篇国际清算银行(BIS)的工作论文,以期为读者带来相关启发。

Multiple system atrophy(MSA)is a debilitating and fatal neurodegenerative disorder.The disease severity warrants urgent development of disease-modifying therapy,but the disease pathogenesis is still enigmatic.Neurodegeneration in MSA brains is preceded by the emergence of glial cytoplasmic inclusions(GCIs),which are insoluble α-synuclein accumulations within oligodendrocytes(OLGs).Thus,preventive strategies against GCI formation may suppress disease progression.However,although numerous studies have tried to elucidate the molecular pathogenesis of GCI formation,difficulty remains in understanding the pathological interaction between the two pivotal aspects of GCIs;asynuclein and OLGs.The difficulty originates from several enigmas:1)what triggers the initial generation and possible propagation of pathogenic α-synuclein species?2)what contributes to OLG-specific accumulation of α-synuclein,which is abundantly expressed in neurons but not in OLGs?and 3)how are OLGs and other glial cells affected and contribute to neurodegeneration?The primary pathogenesis of GCIs may involve myelin dysfunaion and dyshomeostasis of the oligodendroglial cellular environment such as autophagy and iron metabolism.We have previously reported that oligodendrocyte precursor cells are more prone to develop intracellular inclusions in the presence of extracellular fibrillary α-synuclein.This finding implies a possibility that the propagation of GCI pathology in MSA brains is mediated through the internalization of pathological α-synuclein into oligodendrocyte precursor cells.In this review,in order to discuss the pathogenesis of GCIs,we will focus on the composition of neuronal and oligodendroglial inclusions in synucleinopathies.Furthermore,we will introduce some hypotheses on how α-synuclein pathology spreads among OLGs in MSA brains,in the light of our data from the experiments with primary oligodendrocyte lineage cell culture.While various reports have focused on the mysterious source of α-synuclein in GCIs,insights into the mechanism wh

Under the aim of finding effective rehabilitation solutions,the difference between the extents of fatigue of each muscle used in different motions are compared.Previous research suggested methods for estimating muscle torque and muscle tension on the basis of a musculoskeletal model.As a result,it has become possible to quantitatively identify the extent of fatigue in each muscle during motion.Therefore,to evaluate muscle fatigue more quantitatively,driving power and angular momentum are focused on.Based on the driving torque of joints and the muscle torque calculated by using a three-dimensional musculoskeletal model,a method for calculating the driving power of joints and the angular momentum of a muscle is proposed.This method is applied to analysis of different motions.Moreover,fatigue of muscles is quantitatively analyzed on the basis of driving power and angular momentum.

Carcinogenic transformation of somatic cells resembles nuclear reprogramming toward the generation of pluripotent stem cells.These events share eternal escape from cellular senescence,continuous self-renewal in limited but certain population of cells,and refractoriness to terminal differentiation while maintaining the potential to differentiate into cells of one or multiple lineages.As represented by several oncogenes those appeared to be first keys to pluripotency,carcinogenesis and nuclear reprogramming seem to share a number of core mechanisms.The retinoblastoma tumor suppressor product retinoblastoma(RB)seems to be critically involved in both events in highly complicated manners.However,disentangling such complicated interactions has enabled us to better understand how stem cell strategies are shared by cancer cells.This review covers recent findings on RB functions related to stem cells and stem cell-like behaviors of cancer cells.
