Hypertension(HTN)is one of the most common chronic diseases affecting over 30%of the adult population globally,with a growing incidence *** review assesses the relationship between health literacy(HL)intervention and hypertension(HTN)self-management among people with *** study design was a systematic review of empirical research articles using a well-defined *** journals were accessed through databases such as PubMed,CINAHL,Google Scholar,ProQuest,Global Health,WHOLIS,Embase,and EbscoHost,spanning from January 2016 to December 2022 as the scope of the *** selected for inclusion were those published in English during the specified time frame and adhering to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines and Sample,Phenomenon of Interest,Design,Evaluation,Research Type framework for systematic review,focusing on criteria related to the sample,the phenomenon of interest,study design,evaluation,and research *** of 180 studies initially identified in the database search,20 studies were ultimately included in the *** findings were reported based on these five emerging themes:Relationship between HL and HTN self-management;Effect of HL intervention on HTN self-management;Factors predicting self-care behaviors among HTN patients with low HL;Effect of HL and self-management efficacy on health-related quality of life(HRQoL);and level of self-care *** review highlights a relationship between HL,self-efficacy,self-care,and HRQoL,underscoring the necessity for further well-designed intervention studies focused on enhancing HL in individuals with HTN in Nigeria to enhance their quality of life.

This study is laser focused on the simulation of fuel consumption and fuel economy label parameters of plug-in hybrid electric *** fuel economy is a key factor in the design of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles,a fuel economy label can educate customers about the economic advantage of purchasing a particular *** fuel economy label of a PHEV consists of parameters like driving range,electrical energy consumption,fuel economy for city,highway,and combined use,battery recharge time,and fuel consumption *** study used an inverse function model of an artificial neural network to simulate and calculate the parameters of the fuel economy labels of ***,the selected parameters of the fuel economy label of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles were used to develop a single output *** output variable of the single output model was then merged with dummy functions to form input variables for the inverse function *** output variables simulated were engine size in litres;estimated driving range when the battery is fully charged in km,battery recharged time in hours,city fuel consumption(L/100 km),highway fuel consumption(L/100 km),combined fuel consumption(L/100 km),estimated driving range when the tank is full,carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emission in grams/km,electric motor power in kW,number of cylinders,and electrical charges consumed in kWh/100 *** cases of input variables were considered for the inverse function *** accuracy of the model was 29.1 times greater than that of the conventional inverse artificial neural network model.

This article examines the discursive strategies employed to negotiate power and ideology in President Buhari’s speech on the#EndSARS Protests in *** data for the study comprises President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech on the#EndSARS *** speech was analysed using both Systemic Functional Linguistics and Critical Discourse Analysis,and a discussion of how transitivity patterns and modality choices explain the representation of power,ideology and dominance in the speech *** findings of the study show that the transitivity and modality systems used by the president revealed his disposition toward the participants involved in the protests,and his perception of himself in relation to the others:whether they take an active or passive role in the *** paper concludes that transitivity patterns and modality structures can be used to highlight social actors who on the surface appear common and natural,when they essentially perpetuate inequality and injustice.

We report near-zero crossover for vanadium cross-permeation through single-layer graphene immobilized at the interface of two Nafion?polymer electrolyte *** ion diffusion and migration,including proton mobility through membrane composites,were studied with and without graphene under diffusion and migration ***-layer graphene was found to effectively inhibit vanadium ion diffusion and migration under specific *** single-layer graphene composites also enabled remarkable ion transmission selectivity improvements over pure Nafion membranes,with proton transport being four orders of magnitude faster than vanadium ion *** values of 0.02±0.005Ωcm^(2) for proton and 223±4Ωcm^(2) for vanadium ion through single atomic layer graphene are *** high selectivity may have significant impact on flow battery applications or for other electrochemical devices where proton conductivity is required,and transport of other species is *** results emphasize that crossover may be essentially completely eliminated in some cases,enabling for greatly improved operational viability.

Adolescent health(AH)is an integral part of public health with the goal of improving the healthy development,safety,and well‑being of adolescents because the behavioral patterns established during this period influence the health status of the adolescents and the risk of developing chronic diseases during *** being a time of great physical and psychological change,many social and physical conditions as well as behavioral pattern can impact AH and heighten the risk of illness and *** makes adolescents to be susceptible to various health issues by nature because of their stages of development,which affects their ability to make safe decisions,and the need to rely on significant others for *** factors like desire for greater autonomy,pressure to conform to peers,exploration of sexual identity,increased access to and use of technology,violence and sexual abuse,social and cultural norms,family circumstances,emotional and physical environment of the adolescents contribute significantly to adolescents’health ***,nurses have significant roles to play to ensure optimal growth and development of the adolescents and to prevent and reduce the impact of changes associated with adolescence on the health and well‑being of the *** article presents the concept of adolescence,components of AH,health‑related challenges associated with adolescence,and role of public health nurses.

Adolescent/youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services(SRHS)play a vital role in reducing morbidity and mortality associated with adolescent *** review examined studies carried out on adolescent/youth-friendly SRHS with focus on availability,accessibility,utilization as well as perception of health care providers,and adolescents about the *** study design was systematic review of empirical studies using a well-defined *** journal was searched comprehensively using Web of Science,Google Scholars databases,PubMed,Medline,and *** sources were identified through the scanning of references of selected *** articles selected were between 2016 and 2022 and had qualitative/quantitative and mixed *** articles that met the selection criteria were also screened using PRISMA-P guidelines and SPIDER framework for systematic review was further used for inclusion criteria based on the following concepts:sample,phenomenon of interest,design,evaluation and research type.A total number of 32 studies were included in the study and findings were reported based on the five emerging *** review showed that majority of the adolescents were not aware of adolescent/youth-friendly SRHS,some health care providers were not also in support of the services which accounted for low utilization of the services among *** review further showed poor accessibility and nonavailability of AYFSRHS as the only available SRHS were meant for married ***,these findings serve as evidence for policy-makers at all the levels of healthcare delivery system to considered all the factors observed in this review and develop strategies that will make adolescent/youth-friendly SRHS available and accessible to *** so,other stakeholders,especially health care providers must improve their attitude toward provision of adolescent/youth-friendly SRHS.

Exogenous application of chelators towards enhancing heavy metals extraction efficiency of bioenergy crop has received considerable attention in recent ***,little is known about optimal application rate,comparative evaluation of degradable versus non-degradable chelators and their impact on cadmium(Cd)speciation and uptake,physiological and biochemical activity of sweet sorghum grown under Cd *** chelators namely,Nitrilotriacetic acid(NTA),tetrasodium N,N-diacetate(TDA),Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA),iminodisuccinic acid(IDA)and control(CK)were applied and compared at rates of 2,5,and 10 mmol kg^(-1) towards augmenting phytoextraction efficiency of sweet sorghum for Cd remediation in a screen house *** showed that sweet sorghum augmented with TDA significantly(P<0.05)increased biomass,enhanced Cd uptake and accumulation when compared to EDTA at application rate of 2-5 mmol kg*** influenced Cd speciation via increasing acid-soluble,reducible,oxidizable,and residual fractions of Cd,thus increasing Cd *** and TDA increased proline concentrations,antioxidant enzymes and net photosynthetic activity rate(Pn)comparably to EDTA in sweet sorghum,thus enhancing stress tolerance and stabilizing photosynthetic ***,exogenous application of degradable TDA at 2-5 mmol kg^(-1) could be recommended as replacement for non-degradable EDTA in a chelate assisted approach towards augmenting bioenergy crop for phytoremediation of Cd polluted soil.

Vegetable oil Spills are becoming frequent and are potentially more challenging than petroleum hydrocarbon spills. Microbial lipases occupy a place of prominence among biocatalysts are often used for remediation of vegetable oil-polluted sites. This work was carried out to isolate microorganisms from oil-polluted sites and screen them for their lipolytic activity. Microorganisms were isolated from eight experimental soil samples contaminated with different types of vegetable oil, soil from an oil mill in Ibadan, and normal uncontaminated soil as a control. The isolates were characterized, identified and those common to at least one of the experimental sites and oil mill sites were screened for their lipolytic activity. Data obtained were analysed using Duncan Multiple Range Test. Seventy three microorganisms were isolated from the polluted soil and identified as species of Bacillus (16), Pseudomonas (12), Flavobacterium (6), Alcaligenes (2), Proteus (3), Micrococcus (1), Aspergillus (9), Penicillium (6), Saccharomyces (4), Geotrichum (1), Kluveromyces (1). Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformic, Pseudomonas cepacia, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Flavobacterium sp., Alcaligenes sp. and Candida parapsilosis which were common to at least one of the experimental site and oil mill site were preliminarily screened for lipolytic activity and all nine confirmed by presence of halos around the colonies. These screened organisms have potential for the degradation of fatty waste. They could therefore be employed in environmental clean-up of vegetable oil spill site.
