In this paper a new approach for designing of a classAB current-mode square-root domain biquad filter based on the electronically simulated translinear loop principle is ***-MOS transistors that operate in strong inverted saturation region are employed for implementation of translinear loop *** proposed filter is immune to body effect,has low circuit complexity and large input dynamic range,and also works in low voltage compared to those reported *** results by HSPICE confirm the validity of the proposed design technique and show high performance of the filter.

A Histogram-Based Static Error Correction Technique for Flash ADCs: Implementation

In this paper, we focus on practical issues in implementing a calibration technique for medium-resolution, highspeed flash analogtodigital converters （ADCs）. In [1], we theoretically describ the calibration technique and perform a behaviorallevel simulation to test its functionality [1]. In this work, we discuss some issues in transistorlevel implementation. The predominant factors that contribute to static errors such as reference generator mismatch and trackandhold （T/H） gain error can be treated as inputreferred offsets of each comparator. Using the proposed calibration technique, these errors can be calibrated with minimal detriment to the dynamic performance of the converter. We simulate a transistorlevel implementation of a 5-bit, 1 GHz ADC in a 1.2 V, 65 nm CMOS process. The results show that DNL can be improved from 2.5 LSB to below 0.7 LSB after calibration, and INL can be improved from 1.6 LSB to below 0.6 LSB after calibration.

A Histogram-Based Static-Error Correction Technique for Flash ADCs

High-speed, high-accuracy data converters are attractive for use in most RF applications. Such converters allow direct conversion to occur between the digital baseband and the antenna. However, high speed and high accuracy make the analog components in a converter more complex, and this complexity causes more power to be dissipated than if a traditional approach were taken. A static calibration technique for flash analog-to-digital converters （ADCs） is discussed in this paper. The calibration is based onhistogram test methods, and equivalent errors in the flash ADC comparators are estimated in the digital domain without any significant changes being made to the ADC comparators. In the trimming process, reference voltages are adjusted to compensate for static errors. Behavioral-level simulations of a moderate-resolution 8-bit flash ADC show that, for typical errors, ADC performance is considerably improved by the proposed technique. As a result of calibration, the differential *** （DNLs） are reduced on average from 4 LSB to 0.5 LSB, and the integral nonlinearities （INLs） are reduced on average from 4.2 LSB to 0.35 LSB. Implementation issues for this proposed technique are discussed in our subsequent paper, “A Histogram-Based Static-Error Correction Technique for Flash ADCs： Implementation Aspects. ”

25-gauge transconjunctival diagnostic vitrectomy in suspected cases of intraocular lymphoma: a case series and review of the literature

AIM:To report the cytology results of 25-gauge transconjunctival(25G-TSV)diagnostic vitrectomy in cases suspicious for intraocular lymphoma(IOL),and compare the results to those reported in the ***:Clinical and cytopathological records of 18vitreous biopsy specimens obtained via 25G-TSV diagnostic vitrectomy in 12 patients suspicious for IOL were reviewed retrospectively.A review of the literature in regards to the diagnostic yields of vitreous specimens obtained via 25-gauge and 20-gauge diagnostic vitrectomy in suspected cases of IOL was ***:Eighteen eyes from 12 patients with clinical suspicion of IOL underwent diagnostic *** cytopathological investigations demonstrated IOL in 15eyes(83.3%).Vitreous analysis was non-diagnostic in 3eyes(16.7%).CONCLUSION:Twenty-five-gauge diagnostic vitrectomy yields adequate sample for cytological evaluation of the vitreous in cases suspicious for *** diagnostic results of the 25G-TSV in the current study are superior to those reported for 20-gauge vitrectomy but equivalent to those reported for 25G-TSV in the published literature.

Calculation of Half-Metal, Debye and Curie Temperatures of Co_2 VAl Compound: First Principles Study

By FP-LAPW calculations, the structural, elastic, Debye and Curie temperatures, electronic and magnetic properties of Co2 VAl are investigated. The results indicate that Ferromagnetic （FM） phase is more stable than Anti- Ferromagnetic （AFM） and Non-magnetic （NM） ones. In addition, C11-C12 〉 0, C44 〉 0, and B 〉 0 so Co2 VAl is an elastically stable material with high Debye temperature. Also, the BIG ratio exhibits a ductility behavior. The relatively high Curie temperature provides it as a favorable material for spintronic application. It＇s electronic and magnetic properties are studied by GGA ＋U approach leading to a 100% spin polarization at Fermi level.

Self-Oscillating Mixer(SOM) With 0.18 μm CMOS Technology

self-oscillating mixer is introduced in this paper, with fundamental signal generated by the oscillator subcircuit in the process of mixing. The oscillator core consumes 3 mA of the current from a 1.8 V DC supply and leads to an output power of –0.88 dBm per oscillator, and a measured phase noise of –91, –102 and –107 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz, 600 KHz and 1 MHz from the carrier, respectively. The proposed mixer achieved IIP3 of 0 dBm in the process of mixing, with conversation gain of 1.93 dB. Designing and simulation the circuit was done in 0.18 μm CMOS technology by ADS2010.
