Background: Th. available data on cryptogenic ch.onic h.persensitivity pneum.nitis (cch.) indicate an inh.rited predisposition to disease with.triggering autoim.une ph.nom.na. h.nce, we evaluated prospectively th. role of a new autoim.une regim.n in treatm.nt of its severe and progressive disease. Patients and m.th.ds: A total of 9 patients were included in th. study. Th.y h.d criteria for cch. viz. 1) clinical features of cryptogenic progressive restrictive lung disease, 2) h.gh.resolution com.uted tom.graph.c pulm.nary abnorm.lities, and 3) bronch.alveolar lavage lym.h.cytosis (>30%). Th. regim.n consisted of an initial induction ph.se of 3-m.nth.Solum.drol 1 g IV daily for 3 days followed by 1 m.nth.of Prednisone (P) 60 m./day to tapered down to discontinuation by 3rd m.nth. Th.y also h.d received m.coph.nolate m.fetil (m.F) 1 g twice daily for 3 m.nth.. Th.s stage was followed by a m.intenance ph.se of yearly Rituxim.b infusions (1 g followed by 1 g 2 weeks later). Results: com.ared to th.ir previous 6 m.nth. deterioration;all patients sh.wed significant im.rovem.nt in th.ir forced vital volum., diffusion capacity for carbon m.noxide, 6-m.nutes-walk after th. induction ph.se (at 3 m.nth.) wh.ch.im.roved furth.r at 15 m.nth. with.Rituxim.b th.rapy. Conclusion: After 3-m.nth.induction th.rapy with.P and m.F;yearly R treatm.nt is a safe, practical and effective long-term.th.rapy for cch..

In th.s study,green zinc oxide(ZnO)/polypyrrole(Ppy)/cellulose acetate(CA)film.h.s been synth.sized via solvent *** film.was used as supporting m.terial for glucose oxidase(GOx)to sensitize a glucose *** nanoparticles h.ve been prepared via th. green route using olive leaves extract as a ***/Ppy nanocom.osite h.s been synth.sized by a sim.le in-situ ch.m.cal oxidative polym.rization of pyrrole(Py)m.nom.r using ferric ch.oride(FeCl3)as an oxidizing *** produced m.terials and th. com.osite film. were ch.racterized using X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD),scanning electron m.croscope(SEm.,Fourier transform.infrared(FTIR)and th.rm.gravim.tric analysis(TGA).Glucose oxidase was successfully im.obilized on th. surface of th. prepared film.and th.n ZnO/Ppy/CA/GOx com.osite was sputtered with.platinum.electrode for th. current determ.nation at different initial concentrations of *** m.asurem.nts proved th. suitability and th. h.gh.sensitivity of th. constructed biosensor for th. detection of glucose levels in different *** perform.nce of th. prepared biosensor h.s been assessed by m.asuring and com.aring glucose concentrations up to 800 *** results affirm.d th. reliability of th. developed biosensor towards real sam.les wh.ch.suggests th. wide-scale application of th. proposed biosensor.

Th.s research.proposes a novel nature-based design of a new concrete arm.ur unit for th. cover layer of a rubblem.undbreakwater. Arm.ur units are versatile with.respect to sh.pe, orientation, surface condition details, and ***, a detailed analysis is required to investigate th. exact state of th.ir h.draulic interactions and structuralresponses. In th.s regard, th. perform.nce results of several traditional arm.ur units, including th. Antifer cube,Tetrapod, X-block and natural stone, are considered for th. first step of th.s study. Th.n, th. related observed resultsare com.ared with.th.se obtained for a newly designed (artificial coral) arm.ur unit. Th. research.m.th.dology utilizesth. com.on wave flum. test procedure. Furth.rm.re, several verified num.rical m.dels in OpenFOAm.code areused to gain th. extra required data. Th. proposed arm.ur is configured to provide an effective sh.re protection as anenvironm.ntal-friendly coastal structure. Background Retinopath. of prem.turity(ROP)is generally considered to be m.re frequent in m.les th.n in ***,it is not known wh.th.r sex differences in ROP affect all degrees of th. condition,are global and h.ve ch.nged as neonatology h.s *** aim.d to conduct a system.tic review and m.ta-analysis of studies addressing sex differences in th. risk of developing *** Pubm.d/m.DLINE and Em.ase databases were *** frequentist,random.effects risk ratio(RR)and 95%confidence interval(CI)were *** m.del averaged(Bm.)m.ta-analysis was used to calculate th. Bayes factors(BFs).Th. BF10 is th. ratio of th. probability of th. data under th. alternative h.poth.sis(h.)over th. probability of th. data under th. null h.poth.sis(h.).Results We included 205 studies(867,252 infants).Frequentist m.ta-analysis sh.wed a positive association between m.le sex and severe ROP(113 studies,RR=1.14,95%CI=1.07–1.22)but no association with.any ROP(144 studies,RR=1.00,95%CI=0.96–1.03).Bm. sh.wed extrem. evidence in favor of h. for severe ROP(BF10=71,174)and strong evidence in favor of h. for any ROP(BF10=0.05).Th. association between m.le sex and severe ROP rem.ined stable over tim. and was present only in coh.rts from.countries with.a h.gh.or h.gh.m.ddle sociodem.graph.c *** Our study confirm. th. presence of a m.le disadvantage in severe ROP but not in less severe form. of th. *** are variations in th. sex differences in ROP,depending on geograph.cal location and sociodem.graph.c level of th. countries.

Flax is considered to be one of th. m.st significant dual-purpose crops for oil and fiber production in Egypt and *** h.ve a substantial im.act on various m.tabolic processes,including increased ph.to-synth.sis,endogenous h.rm.ne levels,ion absorption,nucleic acid synth.sis,and protein *** factors collectively contribute to th. growth.and developm.nt of ***,th.s study aim. to investigate h.w th.ee biofertilizers(Algae extract,Cm. as a by-product of yeast,and m.talosate m.lti m.nerals as am.no acids)can enh.nce both.th. quantity and quality of flax seed yield under sandy soil *** field experim.nts were conducted at th. Experim.ntal Station of National Research.Centre in Nubaria District,Beh.ra Governorate,Egypt during two seasons(2021/2022)using a random.zed com.lete block design(RCBD).Th. results revealed significant differences am.ng all tested biofertilizers in term. of various ch.racteristics studied in *** application of algae extract at a rate of 1.50 m./L resulted in an increase in seed yield(ton/h.)by 26.69%&19.89%,straw yield(ton/h.)by 8.08%&17.12%,and oil yield(kg/h.)by 47.72%&33.69%com.ared to th. control group during both.seasons *** applications of algae extract at a rate of 1.50 m./L along with.Cm. at a rate of 5 m.L/L and am.no acids at a rate of 1.50 m./L dem.nstrated significantly h.gh.r m.cronutrient contents(N,P,K),m.cronutrient contents(Fe,Zn,m.),seed oil content,and protein content in flax seeds during both.*** h.gh.st values for seed oil content and protein content%were obtained th.ough.foliar application of am.no acids at a rate of 1.50 m./*** can be concluded th.t foliar sprays with.th.se bio-fertilizers effectively im.roved flax perform.nce by increasing seed straw and oil yields,nutrients oil,protein and fatty acids seeds contents.
