Objecti.e: To evaluate the di.gnosti. accuracy of fi.e needle aspi.ati.n (FNA) i. detecti.g malignant paroti. tumors. Desi.n: A retrospecti.e study of cases seri.s. Setti.g: Salmani.a Medi.al Complex, Otorhi.olaryngology Department, Ki.gdom of Bahrai.. Methods: A retrospecti.e study was carri.d out, between January 2009 and December 2018, for all pati.nts di.gnosed wi.h paroti. tumors at the Department of Otorhi.olaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Salmani.a Medi.al Complex, Manama, Ki.gdom of Bahrai.. Data collecti.n was made from medi.al records, i.seha and laboratory i.formati.n system (Li.). 87 pati.nts underwent paroti.ectomy, of whi.h 30 were excluded due to unsati.factory di.gnoses or mi.si.g data. The results of fi.e needle aspi.ati.ns were analyzed and compared wi.h the correspondi.g hi.topathologi. di.gnosi.. Esti.ati.n of sensi.i.i.y, speci.i.i.y, negati.e predi.ti.e value, posi.i.e predi.ti.e value and accuracy of FNA were calculated. Results: Among the 57 evaluated cases, four cases were further excluded from the fi.al analysi. due to unsati.factory FNA results, therefore only 53 cases remai.ed. The mean age of pati.nts was 48.6 ± 17.2 years. A concordance wi.h hi.topathology results was observed. 47 cases were di.gnosed as beni.n and fi.e cases were malignant, however, 1 case was di.gnosed as malignant by FNA, but not i. hi.topathology. The overall di.gnosti. accuracy was 98.1% and the prevalence of paroti. malignancy was 9.4%. Sensi.i.i.y and speci.i.i.y were 100% and 97.9%, respecti.ely. Posi.i.e predi.ti.e value was 83.3% whi.e negati.e predi.ti.e value was 100%. Conclusi.n: Fi.e needle aspi.ati.n i. a hi.hly sensi.i.e and speci.i. test i. evaluati.g malignant paroti. gland tumors. i. i. useful and accurate, especi.lly when used hand by hand wi.h the cli.i.al assessment and radi.logi.al fi.di.gs.

Background: i.verted Papi.loma (i.) i. the most common beni.n neoplasms ari.i.g from the mucosal li.i.g of the of the Si.o-Nasal tract wi.h si.gle or multi.ocal attachment si.es. The hi.h propensi.y to recur, local aggressi.e behavi.r and possi.i.i.y of malignant transformati.n attract consi.erable i.terest. Objecti.e: To assess the factors affecti.g Si.o-nasal i., malignant transformati.n rate, and post-operati.e recurrence rate. Methods: A retrospecti.e study was carri.d out on all cases di.gnosed as Si.o-Nasal Papi.loma between January 2010 and December 2020 at Salmani.a Medi.al Complex, Bahrai.. Data gathered from medi.al records were analyzed usi.g SPSS. A total of 49 Si.o-Nasal Papi.loma cases were recorded of whi.h 37 were i.. Factors affecti.g Si.o-Nasal i.s are presented. Results: Si.o-Nasal i. was recorded i. 37 cases, composed of 28 males and 9 females wi.h fi.st presentati.n average age of 45.86 years. These i.volved 20 cases i. the left si.e, 14 i. the ri.ht si.e and 3 were bi.ateral. Recurrence i. males and females was found to be 35.7% and 33%, respecti.ely, wi.h an average of 12.6 months. The symptoms i.clude nasal blockage (97.3%), epi.taxi. and postnasal dri. (13.5% each), headache (8.1%) and hyposmi. and rhi.orrhea (5.4%, each). The mai. recurrence was at stage T2 (60.5%), whi.e i. smokers (26.7%) and non-smokers (50%). Malignant transformati.n occurred i. one pati.nt only (2.6%). Conclusi.n: i. i. the most common type of SNP wi.h male predomi.ance. The recurrence rate i. hi.h wi.h an average of a year and the malignant transformati.n occurred i. 2.6 % of the cases.

Thi. paper deals wi.h the esti.ati.n of crest settlement i. a concrete face rockfi.l dam （CFRD）, uti.i.i.g i.telli.ent methods. Followi.g completi.n of dam constructi.n, consi.erable movements of the crest and the body of the dam can develop duri.g the fi.st i.poundment of the reservoi.. although there i. vast experi.nce worldwi.e i. CFRD desi.n and constructi.n, few accurate experi.ental relati.nshi.s are avai.able to predi.t the settlement i. CFRD. The goal i. to advance the development of i.telli.ent methods to esti.ate the subsi.ence of dams at the desi.n stage. Due to dam zoni.i.ati.n and uncertai.ti.s i. materi.l properti.s, these methods appear to be the appropri.te choi.e. i. thi. study, the crest settlement behavi.r of CFRDs i. analyzed based on compi.ed data of 24 CFRDs constructed duri.g recent years around the world, along wi.h the uti.i.ati.n of gene ex- pressi.n programmi.g （GEP） and adapti.e neuro-fuzzy i.ference system （ANFi.） methods. i. addi.i.n, dam hei.ht （H）, shape factor （St）, and ti.e （t, ti.e after fi.st operati.n） are also assessed, bei.g consi.ered major factors i. predi.ti.g the settlement behavi.r. From the relati.nshi.s proposed, the values ofR2 for both equati.ns of GEP （wi.h and wi.hout constant） were 0.9603 and 0.9734, and for the three approaches of ANFi. （gri. parti.i.ni.g （GP）, subtracti.e clusteri.g method （SCM）, and fuzzy c-means clusteri.g （FCM）） were 0.9693, 0.8657, and 0.8848, respecti.ely. The obtai.ed results i.di.ate that the overall behavi.r evaluated by thi. approach i. consi.tent wi.h the measured data of other CFRDs.
