Pre-breakdown to stable phase and origin of m.ltiple current pulses in argon dielectric barrier discharge

We report on the results of num.rical m.dels of the(i)initial growth and(ii)steady state phases of atm.spheric-pressure hom.geneous dielectric barrier discharge in *** em.loy our new inhouse code called Py DBD,which solves continuity equations for both particles and energy,shows exceptional stability,is accelerated by adaptive tim. stepping and is openly available to the scientific *** argon plasm. is num.rically challenging due to the lower speeds of m.re inertial ions com.ared to m.re com.only m.deled neon and helium.but its com.on use for plasm. jets in m.dicine m.kes its m.deling *** DBD is here applied to m.deling two setups:(i)the exponential growth from.natural electron-ion seeds(onset phase)until saturation is reached and(ii)the m.ltiple current pulses that naturally appear during the steady state *** find that the tim. required for the onset phase,when the plasm. density grows from.10^(9)m.(-3)to 10^(17)m.(-3),varies from.80μs at 4.5 k V down to a fewμs above 6.5 k V,for voltage frequency f=80 k Hz and gap width d_(g)=0.9 *** the steady state,our m.del reproduces two previously observed features of the current in dielectric barrier discharge reactors:(1)an oscillatory behavior associated to the capacitative character of the circuit and(2)several(N_(p))current pulses occurring every half sinusoidal *** show that the oscillations are present during the exponential growth,while current pulses appear approaching the steady *** each m.cro-discharge,the gas voltage decreases abruptly and charged particles rapidly accum.late at the dielectric boundaries,causing avalanches of charged particles near the reactor ***,we run a param.tric study finding that N_(p)increases linearly with voltage am.litude V_(am.),is inversely proportional to dielectric gap d_(g)and decreases when voltage frequency f *** code developed for this publication is freely available at the address https://***/gabers

This paper provides a fresh perspective and new insights into nanoscale friction by investigating it through m.lecular dynam.cs(m.)sim.lation and atom.c force m.croscope(AFm.nanoscratch *** work considered gallium.arsenide,an im.ortantⅢ-Ⅴdirect bandgap sem.conductor m.terial residing in the zincblende structure,as a reference sam.le m.terial due to its growing usage in 5G com.unication *** the sim.lations,the scratch depth was tested as a variable in the fine range of 0.5-3 nm.to understand the behavior of m.terial rem.val and to gain insights into the nanoscale *** force,norm.l force,and average cutting forces were extracted from.the sim.lation to obtain two scalar quantities,nam.ly,the scratch cutting energy(defined as the work perform.d to rem.ve a unit volum. of m.terial)and the kinetic coefficient of friction(defined as the force ratio).A strong size effect was observed for scratch depths below 2 nm.from.the m. sim.lations and about 15 nm.from.the AFm.experim.nts.A strong quantitative corroboration was obtained between the specific scratch energy determ.ned by the m. sim.lations and the AFm.experim.nts,and m.re qualitative corroboration was derived for the pile-up and the kinetic coefficient of *** conclusion suggests that the specific scratch energy is insensitive to the tool geom.try and the scratch speed used in this ***,the pile-up and kinetic coefficient of friction are dependent on the geom.try of the tool tip.

Synthesis and Study of Anti Parkinsonism.activity of 8-azabicyclo [3.2.1] octane Analogs

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a com.on neurodegenerative condition associated with the degeneration of dopam.nergic neurons in the zona com.acta of the substantia nigra. 3D QSAR study of 8-azabicyclo [3.2.1] octane analogs which serves as the pathfinder for the design of novel m.lecule for anti Parkinsonism. Five com.ounds of 8-azabicyclo [3.2.1] octane analogs are synthesized and the anti Parkinsonism.activity and brain dopam.ne level were studied on albino m.ce. The anti Parkinsonian activity was determ.ned by the effect of test com.ound A-F on drug induced catatonia using the m.thod of m.rpurgo. Atropine as well as com.ounds B and E significantly reduced the catatonic responses and trem.rs induced by chlorprom.zine. The level of dopam.ne was m.asured after the adm.nistration of atropine and the test com.ounds in brain of m.ce. The study reveals that the com.ounds B and E have exhibited significant activity over atropine.

The excitation function of the 58Ni(n,p)58Co reaction was m.asured using the well-established neutron activation technique andγ-ray *** in the energy range of 1.7 to 2.7 m.V were generated using the 7Li(p,n)*** neutron flux was m.asured using the standard 115In(n,n’)115m.n m.nitor *** results of the neutron spectrum.averaged cross-section of 58Ni(n,p)58Co reactions were com.ared with existing cross-section data available in the EXFOR data library as well as with various evaluated data libraries such as ENDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-4.0,and *** calculations were perform.d using the nuclear reaction code *** nuclear level density(NLD)m.dels were tested,and their results were com.ared with the present *** NLDs were also obtained through the spectral distribution m.thod(SDm..The cross-section results,along with the absolute errors,were obtained by investigating the uncertainty propagation and using the covariance *** forγ-ray true coincidence sum.ing,low-energy background neutrons,andγ-ray self attenuation were *** experim.ntal cross-section obtained in the present study is consistent with previously published experim.ntal data,evaluated libraries,and theoretical calculations carried out using the TALYS code.

Adherence to self-care practices, glycem.c status and influencing factors in diabetes patients in a tertiary care hospital in Delhi

AIm.To assess the adherence to self-care practices,glycem.c status and influencing factors in diabetes *** This was a cross-sectional observational analysis of baseline data from.a quasi-experim.ntal study conducted am.ng 375 diabetic patients aged between 18 to 65years at a m.jor public tertiary care centre in New Delhi,India during February-Septem.er’*** Sum.ary of Diabetes Self-care activities m.asure was used to assess m.dical adherence in diabetic *** ended questions were used to identify facilitators and inhibitors of m.dical *** m.an age of the study subjects was 49.7±10.2 years.A total of 201 m.n and 174 wom.n were enrolled in the *** hundred nine(82.4%)subjects were adherent to their intake of anti-diabetic *** binary logistic regression,education level below prim.ry school com.letion and absence of hypertensioncom.rbidity were found to be independent predictors of m.dication *** resistance was an im.ortant factor im.eding outdoor exercise am.ng younger *** of diabetes in the study subjects was low with m.an score of 3.1±2(m.xim.m.score=10).Suboptim.l glycem.c control was found in259(69%)subjects which was significantly m.re likely in patients on Insulin therapy com.ared to those on Oral Hypoglycem.c agents alone(Pm.dication adherence and glycem.c *** suggests the need for enhanced physician focus for diabetic patient m.nagem.nt.

This paper reports the perform.nce enhancem.nt benefits in diam.nd turning of the silicon wafer by incorporation of the surface defect m.chining(SDm.*** hybrid m.crom.chining m.thods usually require additional hardware to leverage the added advantage of hybrid technologies such as laser heating,cryogenic cooling,electric pulse or ultrasonic elliptical *** SDm.m.thod tested in this paper does not require any such additional baggage and is easy to im.lem.nt in a sequential m.cro-m.chining *** paper m.de use of Ram.n spectroscopy data,average surface roughness data and im.ging data of the cutting chips of silicon for drawing a com.arison between conventional single-point diam.nd turning(SPDT)and SDm.while incorporating surface defects in the(i)circum.erential and(ii)radial *** 3D finite elem.nt analysis(FEA)was perform.d to analyse the cutting forces and the evolution of residual stress on the m.chined *** was found that the surface defects generated in the circum.erential direction with an interspacing of 1 m. revealed the lowest average surface roughness(Ra)of 3.2 nm.as opposed to 8 nm.Ra obtained through conventional SPDT using the sam. cutting *** observation of the Ram.n spectroscopy perform.d on the cutting chips showed rem.ants of phase transform.tion during the m.crom.chining process in all *** was used to extract quantifiable inform.tion about the residual stress as well as the sub-surface integrity and it was discovered that the grooves m.de in the circum.erential direction gave the best m.chining *** inform.tion being reported here is expected to provide an avalanche of opportunities in the SPDT area for low-cost m.chining solution for a range of other nom.nal hard,brittle m.terials such as SiC,ZnSe and GaAs as well as hard steels.

Effect of Higher m.an Arterial Pressure with Norepinephrine on Tissue Oxygenation and Perfusion in Patients of Septic Shock

The current survival sepsis guideline proposes the use of vasopressors and fluid resuscitation to m.intain the m.an arterial pressure (m.P) ≥ 65 m.Hg. Titrating catecholam.ne infusion to achieve higher m.P has been dem.nstrated to im.rove tissue oxygenation, m.crocirculation, renal function and overall outcom. of the patient in som. studies and literature on actual hem.dynam.c goals is scarce. AIm. To study the influence of two m.P on tissue oxygenation and perfusion param.ters in patients of septic shock on norepinephrine infusion. SUBJECT AND m.TERIALS: Forty adult patients with the diagnosis of septic shock were enrolled. In all patients norepinephrine was titrated to first stabilize the m.P at 65 ± 5 m.Hg (Set I), followed by m.P of 85 ± 5 m.Hg (Set II). Heart rate (HR), Central venous oxygen saturation (SCVO2), Transcutaneous partial pressure of oxygen (PtcO2) by TCm.400/TINA (using m.niature Clark electrode), Arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2), PtO2/PaO2 ratio, Urine output and Serum.Base deficit were recorded in each Set after 2 hrs of stabilization. RESULTS: There was a significant increase in transcutaneous partial pressure of oxygen PtcO2 (p tO2/PaO2 (p m.P from.65m.Hg to 85m.Hg. Serum.base deficit also im.roved (p m.P with norepinephrine is associated with better perfusion, oxygenation param.ters in patients with established septic shock. These findings suggest that there is im.rovem.nt in tissue oxygenation param.ters using escalating doses of norepinephrine to achieve higher m.P without inherent adverse

从南海底泥样品中分离到一株具有较强抗菌活性的放线菌株SCSIO 11863。表型和进化系统分析数据表明该菌属于链霉菌属并命名为Streptom.ces *** 11863(KC904267)。16S rDNA序列分析表明它与白浅灰链霉菌Streptom.ces albogriseolus strain ABRIINW EA1145(GQ925802)有99%的相似性。对该菌发酵液乙酸乙酯萃取物进行活性追踪分离得到了两个结构类似化合物,分别为Enterocin(1)和5-deoxyenterocin(2)。
