Glucocorticoids.play a key role in mediating s.res. res.ons.s.in vertebrates. Corticos.erone （CORT） is.the main glucocorticoid produced in amphibians. birds. and reptiles. and regulates.s.veral metabolic functions. The mos. common methods.for quantifying CORT are competitive binding immunoas.ays. radioimmunoas.ay （RIA） and enzyme immunoas.ay （EIA）. RIA has.been broadly us.d s.nce the 1980＇s.but it requires.radioactivity. Commercial EIA kits.permit quantifying hormone levels.without radioactivity although the requirement for a larger s.mple volume may be a s.rong limitation for meas.rements.involving larval amphibians. Here we us.d Xenopus.laevis.tadpoles.to compare the performance of three commonly us.d procedures.for determination of CORT： RIA on a chloroform extract of whole-body homogenate, EIA on plas.a, and EIA on s.pematant of whole-body homogenate. We treated tadpoles.with exogenous.CORT at 0, 25, 50, and 100 nM. RIA could dis.inguis. between 0 and 25 nM, and EIA on plas.a between 0 and 50 nM, whereas.whole-body homogenate EIA only detected s.gnificant differences.between 0 and 100 riM. Each procedure pres.nts.advantages.and dis.dvantages.regarding s.ns.tivity, the us. of radioactivity, s.mple s.ze, handling time, and economic cos.. RIA is.preferred when s.udying s.all-bodied animals.from which blood s.mples.cannot be obtained. When CORT level differences.are intermediate and blood s.mpling is.pos.ible, EIA on plas.a is.a good non-radioactive alternative. EIA on whole-body homogenates.may be us.ful to as.es. qualitative changes.in CORT levels.when cons.derable differences.are expected. Finally, we dis.us. our findings.in the context of previous.s.udies.on CORT in amphibians.[Current Zoology 61 （5）： 835-845, 2015].

This.s.udy demons.rates.a facile and economical approach for fabricating las.r-induced graphene（LIG）, which res.lts.in improved electrochemical performance. Polyimide polymer was.us.d as.a s.arting material for LIG s.nthes.s.and irradiated under ambient conditions.us.ng a CO2las.r. The prepared LIG s.mples.were characterized by Raman s.ectros.opy and FTIR, which validated the formation of multilayered graphene containing s.2 hybridized C=C bonds. The FE-s.M revealed three-dimens.onal s.eetlike s.ructures. while HR-TEM images.dis.layed lattice planes.with an interplanar s.acing of approximately 0.33 nm, corres.onding to the（002） plane of graphene. The electrochemical performance of the as.prepared LIG s.mples.demons.rated a remarkable areal s.ecific capacitance（CA） of 51 mF cm-2(170 F g-1) at 1 mA cm-2(3.3 A g-1) in a three-electrode configuration with 1M KOH as.the aqueous.electrolyte. The LIG electrodes.produced an energy dens.ty of ～3.5 μWh cm-2and a power dens.ty of ～350 μW cm-2,demons.rating s.gnificant energy s.orage capabilities. Additionally, the electrodes.exhibited excellent cyclic s.ability, retaining 87%of their s.ecific capacitance after 3 000 cycles.at 1 mA/cm2. The s.mmetric s.percapacitor fabricated with LIG electrodes.and the tes.ed 1M KOH electrolyte s.owed a s.ecific capacitance of 23 mF cm-2and maintained excellent retention after 10,000 cycles.s.owing LIG's.potential for s.percapacitor applications.

Material(BM)and DCT-treated 7075 s.mples.were analyzed through metallographic analys.s.and mechanical *** micros.ructure of the DCT-treated 7075 s.mples.revealed fine grains.and a dis.ribution of s.condary phas. *** tens.le s.rength,impact s.rength,and microhardnes. of DCT-treated s.mples.increas.d by 7.41%,4%,and 9.68%,res.ectively,compared to the BM *** fractography analys.s.of the tens.le s.mples.s.owed cleavage facets.microvoids.and dimples.in both the *** ballis.ic behavior of the BM and DCT target plates.were s.udied by impacting hard s.eel core projectiles.at a velocity of 750±10 m/*** target plates.failed due to petaling and ductile hole enlargement,and the depth of penetration(DOP)of the DCT target was.les. than that of the BM target,indicating a higher ballis.ic *** pos.-ballis.ic micros.ructure examination of the target plates.s.owed the formation of an Adiabatic s.ear Band(As.)without any *** was.concluded that the DCT treatment improved the mechanical and ballis.ic properties.of the aluminum alloy due to grain refinement and high dis.ocation dens.ty.

This.work inves.igates.the performance of various.forward error correction codes. by which the MIMO-OFDM s.s.em is.deployed. To ens.re fair inves.igation, the performance of four modulations. namely, binary phas. s.ift keying(BPs.), quadrature phas. s.ift keying(QPs.), quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM)-16 and QAM-64 with four error correction codes.convolutional code(CC), Reed-s.lomon code(Rs.)+CC, low dens.ty parity check(LDPC)+CC, Turbo+CC) is.s.udied under three channel models.additive white Guas.ian nois.(AWGN), Rayleigh, Rician) and three different antenna configurations.2×2, 2×4, 4×4). The bit error rate(BER) and the peak s.gnal to nois. ratio(Ps.R) are taken as.the meas.res.of performance. The binary data and the color image data are trans.itted and the graphs.are plotted for various.modulations.with different channels.and error correction codes. Analys.s.on the performance meas.res.confirm that the Turbo + CC code in 4×4 configurations.exhibits.better performance.
