An experimental study on optimizing parameters for sand consolidation with organic-inorganic silicate solutions

Sand production along with the oil/gas detrimentally affects the oil production rate, downhole & subsurface facilities. Mechanical equipment and various chemicals like epoxy resin, furan resin, phenolic resin, etc. are used in the industry to reduce or eliminate this problem. In the present study, a blend of organic and inorganic silicates are used to consolidate loose sand in the presence and absence of crude oil using a core flooding apparatus. The effects of chemical concentration, pH, curing temperature and time, and the presence of residual oil on the consolidation treatment results such as compressive strength and permeability retention, were investigated and optimized. FT-IR and FE-SEM characterization techniques were employed to investigate the interaction between the chemical molecules and the sand grains. The current binding agent exhibited a viscosity of less than 6 cP at room temperature, which facilitates efficient pumping of binding agent into the desired formation through the well bore. The developed mixture demonstrated consolidation properties across all pH conditions. Furthermore, during the experimental investigation, the curing time and temperature was carefully optimized at 12 h and 423.15K, respectively to achieve the highest compressive strength of 2021 psi while achieving the permeability retention of 64%. The current chemical system exhibited improved consolidation capacity and can be effectively utilized for sand consolidation treatment in high-temperature formations. Surface chokes are widely utilized equipment installed on wellheads to control hydrocarbon flow *** correlations have been suggested to model the multiphase flow of oil and gas via surface ***, substantial errors have been reported in empirical fitting models and correlations to estimate hydrocarbon flow because of the reservoir's heterogeneity, anisotropism, variance in reservoir fluid characteristics at diverse subsurface depths, which introduces complexity in production data. Therefore,the estimation of daily oil and gas production rates is still challenging for the petroleum ***, hybrid data-driven techniques have been reported to be effective for estimation problems in various aspects of the petroleum domain. This paper investigates hybrid ensemble data-driven approaches to forecast multiphase flow rates through the surface choke(viz. stacked generalization and voting architectures), followed by an assessment of the impact of input production control ***, machine learning models are also trained and tested individually on the production data of hydrocarbon wells located in North Sea. Feature engineering has been properly applied to select the most suitable contributing control variables for daily production rate forecasting. This study provides a chronological explanation of the data analytics required for the interpretation of production data. The test results reveal the estimation performance of the stacked generalization architecture has outperformed other significant paradigms considered for production forecasting.

Phytosomes(phytophospholipid complex) are dosage forms that have recently been introduced to increase the stability and therapeutic effect of herbal medicine. Currently, bioactive herbs and the phytochemicals they contain are considered to be the best remedies for chronic diseases. One promising approach to increase the efficacy of plant-based therapies is to improve the stability and bioavailability of their bio-active ingredients. Phytosomes employ phospholipids as their active ingredients, and use their amphiphilic properties to solubilize and protect herbal extracts. The unique properties of phospholipids in drug delivery and their use in herbal medicines to improve bioavailability results in significantly enhanced health benefits. The introduction of phytosome nanotechnology can alter and revolutionize the current state of drug delivery. The goal of this review is to explain the application of phytosomes, their future prospects in drug delivery, and their advantages over conventional formulations.

Microstructural, wettability, and corrosion behaviour of TiO_(2) thin film sputtered on aluminium

The study investigated the application of radiofrequency(RF)-sputtered TiO2 coatings at various temperatures to enhance the hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance of Al6061 *** research aimed to establish a correlation between the coating process and the resulting surface *** roughness and wettability were quantified with a surface profilometer and ***,chemical boiling and salt spray corrosion tests were conducted to evaluate any topographical changes during these *** analysis further involved the use of field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)techniques to characterize the deposited *** findings indicated that the TiO2 coating applied at 500℃exhibited the highest water contact angle and superior corrosion resistance compared to other *** characterization confirmed that this specific TiO_(2) coating at 500℃ effectively delays corrosion due to its hydrophobic behavior,making it durable for industrial applications.

Electrochemical performance of a symmetric supercapacitor device designed using laser-induced multilayered graphene

This study demonstrates a facile and economical approach for fabricating laser-induced graphene（LIG）, which results in improved electrochemical performance. Polyimide polymer was used as a starting material for LIG synthesis and irradiated under ambient conditions using a CO2laser. The prepared LIG samples were characterized by Raman spectroscopy and FTIR, which validated the formation of multilayered graphene containing sp2 hybridized C=C bonds. The FE-SEM revealed three-dimensional sheetlike structures, while HR-TEM images displayed lattice planes with an interplanar spacing of approximately 0.33 nm, corresponding to the（002） plane of graphene. The electrochemical performance of the as-prepared LIG samples demonstrated a remarkable areal specific capacitance（CA） of 51 mF cm-2(170 F g-1) at 1 mA cm-2(3.3 A g-1) in a three-electrode configuration with 1M KOH as the aqueous electrolyte. The LIG electrodes produced an energy density of ～3.5 μWh cm-2and a power density of ～350 μW cm-2,demonstrating significant energy storage capabilities. Additionally, the electrodes exhibited excellent cyclic stability, retaining 87%of their specific capacitance after 3 000 cycles at 1 mA/cm2. The symmetric supercapacitor fabricated with LIG electrodes and the tested 1M KOH electrolyte showed a specific capacitance of 23 mF cm-2and maintained excellent retention after 10,000 cycles,showing LIG's potential for supercapacitor applications.
