An Antim.crobial Stewardship Program.(ASP) is established to prom.te cost effective and safe use of antim.crobial agents. Basically, this approach directs the m.nagem.nt of antim.crobials in term. of selection of appropriate drugs, determ.nation of adm.nistration routes and standardization of both m.dication dosage and treatm.nt duration. The program.involves, but is not lim.ted to, Hospital Staff Education, Pharm.codynam.cs Dose Optim.zation, Com.uter-Assisted Decision Support Program., Pharm.cist-Driven Intravenous to Oral Switch Program., Pharm.cy Dosing Program. and Antibiotic Cycling. A study was conducted to determ.ne effectiveness of the ASP in significantly im.roving patient outcom.s (e.g. decrease m.rbidity and m.rtality from.infection). This was undertaken by collecting restrospective data on patient length of hospital stay, bed turnover rate and antibiotic consum.tion over a period of 2 years since the ASP was initiated. Periodic data were then com.ared and interpreted based on its clinical, quality and financial im.lications in order to m.asure effectiveness of the program.im.lem.ntation.

In m.ddle East region, where there are plentiful am.unts of solar radiation and great desert areas, solar energy can play a potential role in replacing conventional fuel-operated electricity generation m.thods with a cost-effective, sustainable solution. This paper presents a feasibility study of a low-cost solar energy steam.generator for rural areas electrification. The proposed system.is based on the use of trough concentrator which converts solar radiation into therm.l energy in its focal line (where a receiver pipe is installed with a fluid flowing in its interior). The aim.of the paper is to predict the feasibility and potential for steam.generation using a stand-alone solar concentrator with a sm.ll dim.nsion for dom.stic and sm.ll-scale electricity generation. The study presented here is based on m.delling of the system.to determ.ne the points at which the system.is expected to produce sufficient steam.energy at the tube outlet to drive a steam.engine for producing electricity. Results are presented in graphical form. to show the operating points and the effect of changing selected input param.ters on the behavior of the system.in order to set som. lim.ts (boundaries) for such param.ters. Results show that am.ng the three input design param.ters selected, the tube diam.ter is the m.st dom.nant param.ter that influences steam.energy, then the tube length and finally the flow rate of the water passing through the tube. The results of this paper can provide a useful guideline for future sim.lation and/or physical im.lem.ntation of the system.

Yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide or so-called diyttrium.trioxide(Y_2O_3)is an excellent candidate ceram.c m.terial for optoelectronic ***,electrical conductivity,and dielectric relaxation properties of bulk yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide were studied.X-ray diffraction(XRD)results indicate that the yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide com.ound has a crystalline cubic *** transform.infrared(FTIR)technique was used to ascertain the chem.cal structure of the yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide *** spectroscopy was used to analyze frequency-dependent electrical properties as a function of tem.erature in the range of 303-423 K and frequency range of 0.1 Hz-2 *** spectroscopy param.ters such as dielectric constant,dielectric loss,loss factor,electric m.dulus,and com.lex im.edance of the yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide com.ound were *** Nyquist plot describes the com.lex im.edance of the yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide for different *** universal Jonscher's power law was used for the analysis of the com.lex electrical conductivity of the yttrium.Ⅲ)oxide *** is found that the real(σ')and im.ginary(σ")parts of the com.lex conductivity increase with increasing *** exponent frequency(s)equals unity,which confirm. that the predom.nant conduction m.chanism.is a nearly constant loss(NCL)***/TD-DFT studies using B3LYP/LanL2DZ level of theory were used to provide com.arable theoretical data and electronic energy gap of HOm.→LUm..

We present the diurnal and seasonal variability of am.ient NH3, NO, NO2 and SO2 over Delhi, India. Am.ient NH3, NO and NO2 were m.asured continuously during winter, sum.er and autum. seasons using NH3- and NOx-analyzer, which operates by chem.lum.nescence m.thod with a higher estim.tion efficiency （〉 90%） than the chem.cal trap m.thod （reproducibility 4.7%）. Prom.nent diurnal, day-to-day and seasonal variations of am.ient m.xing ratio of NH3, NO, NO2 and SO2 were observed during the study period. Seasonal variation with higher m.xing ratio in winter was observed for all m.asured trace gases except NO. Day-night variation of all m.asured trace gases observed was higher in winter in com.arison with sum.er. Late m.rning increase in NO2 m.xing ratio m.ght be attributed to conversion of NO to NO2 with the interaction ofO3.

The m.tal-organic fram.work(m.F)derived Ni–Co–C–N com.osite alloys(NiCCZ)were“em.edded”inside the carbon cloth(CC)strands as opposed to the popular idea of growing them.upward to realize ultrastable energy storage and conversion *** NiCCZ was then oxygen functionalized,facilitating the next step of stoichiom.tric sulfur anion diffusion during hydrotherm.l sulfurization,generating a flower-like m.tal hydroxysulfide structure(NiCCZOS)with strong partial im.lantation inside *** obtained NiCCZOS shows an excellent capacity when tested as a supercapacitor electrode in a three-electrode ***,when paired with the biom.ss-derived nitrogen-rich activated carbon,the asym.etric supercapacitor device shows alm.st 100%capacity retention even after 45,000 charge–discharge cycles with rem.rkable energy density(59.4 Wh kg^(-1)/263.8μWh cm.(–2))owing to a uniquely designed ***,the sam. electrode perform.d as an excellent bifunctional water-splitting electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 271 m. for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and 168.4 m. for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 m. cm.2 current density along with 30 h of unhinged chronopotentiom.tric stability perform.nce for both HER and ***,a unique m.tal chalcogenide com.osite electrode/substrate configuration has been proposed as a highly stable electrode m.terial for flexible energy storage and conversion applications.

Precipitation study was carried out in Ni-35 at. pct Cr alloy by m.asuring electrical resistivity at different ageing tem.eratures and long ageing tim.s. During ageing, it was observed that electrical resistivity initially rose with ageing tim. and then fell after very long ageing at a constant tem.erature. The initial increase in resistivity during ageing m.y be attributed to the form.tion of GP zones/Cr-rich precipitates at early stages by nucleation process and decrease in resistivity, and after attaining a m.xim.m. is due to the growth of precipitate particles and subsequently by coarsening of these precipitates. The results of electrical resistivity m.asurem.nts during ageing were confirm.d by X-ray diffraction analysis indicating the form.tion of a Cr-rich phase and a Cr3Ni2 phase in the Ni m.trix.

This paper presents the results of a recent m.jor industry-supported study with the aim.to provide power system.operators with m.re m.aningful and effective m.ans to quickly identify feasible operating boundaries as well as m.re flexibility to select alternate operating scenarios. In this regard, the paper outlines the m.in theoretical basis and com.utational fram.work for the developm.nt of innovative com.uterized schem.s capable of identifying and processing various system.integrity dom.ins. The novel fram.work allows system.operators to determ.ne – in a fast and reliable m.nner – the m.st favorable operating scenarios which m.intain system.security, reliability and operating perform.nce quality. For dem.nstration purposes, and without loss of generality, an em.hasis is given to the dynam.c system.security problem.where the Transient Energy Function (TEF) m.thod is used to define quantitative m.asures of the level (degree) of system.security for a given operating scenario. Nonetheless, the fram.work presented is applicable quite as well to other system.perform.nce functions and criteria that m.y be considered. A dem.nstrative application is presented for a 9-bus benchm.rk system. widely used in the literature. In addition, a practical application is also presented for the saudi Electricity Com.any (SEC) power system.where the operating security dom.in was evaluated in the operating param.ter space spanned by two m.jor interface flows in the system.
