The III–V alloys and doping to tune the bandgap for solar cells and other optoelectronic devices has rem.ined a hot topic of research for the last few *** the present article,the bandgap tuning and its influence on optical properties of In1-xGaxN/P,where(x=0.0,0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0)alloys are com.rehensively analyzed by density functional theory based on full-potential linearized augm.nted plane wave m.thod(FP-LAPW)and m.dified Becke and Johnson potentials(TB-m.J).The direct bandgaps turn from.0.7 eV to 3.44 eV,and 1.41 eV to 2.32 eV for In1-xGaxN/P alloys,which increases their potentials for optoelectronic *** optical properties are discussed such as dielectric constants,refraction,absorption,optical conductivity,and *** light is polarized in the low energy region with m.nim.m.*** absorption and optical conduction are m.xim. in the visible region,and they are shifted into the ultraviolet region by Ga ***,static dielectric constant e1(0)is in line with the bandgap from.Penn’s m.del.

The current study was perform.d to evaluate the liver function status as well as m.lecular characterization of the recovered worm. in rats experim.ntally infected with F. hepatica. Sixteen m.le Wister rats aged 30 days were random.y allocated into two groups (n = 8). The first group was infected orally with 15 viable encysted m.tacercaria of F. hepatica per anim.l. The other group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero tim. (before infection), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum.sam.les were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from.each rat. Serum.enzym. level (AST and ALT) and total protein were m.asured, and the serum.protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of the experim.nt, serum.ALT and AST activities and serum.total globulins significantly increased while serum.total proteins and album.n m.rkedly decreased in the infected group. On the 14th WPI, the data of the electropherogram.showed that globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased while α2-globulin was m.rkedly decreased in the infected group. The m.lecular analysis confirm.d the am.lification of the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. hepatica recovered from.the infected liver of rats with am.licon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of the am.lified ITS gene resulted in the determ.nation of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession num.ers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in the rat m.del is suitable for routine experim.ntal infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with discharging of the Fasciola eggs in the faeces and the developm.nt of adult stages in the bile ducts. In this article we will present an attem.t to m.asure the Stark broadening param.ter of the Zn I-line at 636.23 nm.utilizing the optical em.ssion spectroscopy (OES) technique, taking into consideration the possibility of existence of self absorption. This m.thod is standing on com.arison of the Lorentzian FWHm.and spectral line intensity of the unknown Stark broadening param.ter line (Zn I-636.23 nm.in our case) to a well known Stark param.ter line (e.g. Zn I-lines at 472.2, 481 and 468 nm. at a reference electron density of 2.7 × 1017 cm.3 and tem.erature of 1 eV. We have utilized the em.ssion spectral data acquired from.well diagnosed plasm. produced by the interaction of Nd: YAG laser at wavelength of 1064 nm.with ZnO nanom.terial target in open air. The results indicates that the Stark broadening of the Zn I-line at 636.23 nm.is centered at 5.06 ± 0.03 ? with a 25% uncertainty at the given reference plasm. param.ters. The knowledge of the Stark broadening param.ter of the 636.23 nm.line m.y be im.ortant in the diagnostics of the laser plasm. experim.nts especially in the absence of the Hα-line.

After the discovery of hexagonal ferrites or hexaferrites, it has been becom. im.ortant m.terials com.ercially and technically to study which is still growing on. In this article, we have reviewed about the m.type hexaferrites including their structural, synthesis techniques and im.ortant m.gnetic properties. The role of experim.ntal synthesizing techniques adopted for preparation of m.type hexaferrites on the various param.ters studied in this review paper. The substitution of holonium.in Bam.ferrite reduces the value of coercivity but not saturation m.gnetization and ram.nence and the cobalt-titanium.substituted ferrites were the m.st im.ortant m.type ferrites in the field of application in m.crowave properties and m.gnetic field industry.

The rapid spreading of the Photovoltaic (PV) System. as Distributed Generation (DG) in m.dium.and low voltage networks created m.ny effects and changes on the existing power system.networks. In this work, two m.thods have been used and applied to determ.ne the optim.l allocation and sizing of the PV to be installed as DGs (ranging from.250 kW up to 3 m.). The first one is to determ.ne the location according to the m.xim.l power losses reduction over the feeder. The second one is by using the Harm.ny Search Algorithm.which is claim.d to be a powerful technique for optim.l allocation of PV system.. The results of the two techniques were com.ared and found to be nearly closed. Furtherm.re, investigation on the effects on the feeder in term. of voltage levels, power factor readings, and short circuit current levels has been done. All calculations and sim.lations are conducted by using the m.TLAB Sim.lation Program. Som. field calculations and observations have been expended in order to substantiate the research findings and validation.

In this research, Renewable Energy (RE) represents the existing power system. with different levels. However, because of the interm.ttent nature of these sources, it is necessary to analyze system.’ reliability with different RE penetration levels. This work presented a sim.lation m.thod for reliability evaluation of renewable penetrated power system.. Som. reliability indices were proposed for the case of power system. with renewable power plants. The adopted approach used the historical data of renewable energy resources, m.inly wind and solar to estim.te the power that can be generated and com.ared with the dem.nd to find the power m.sm.tch. Therefore, this approach can be utilized to determ.ne the penetration level that renewable energy can be shared, and it also helps the system.operators in deciding the percentage of the generation that RE power plant can provide.

The extraction of the organic m.tter (Om. from.oil shale (OS) can be achieved by several processing techniques. Norm.lly, these techniques can rem.ve high proportion of the organic m.terial contained in oil shale. In this work, organic solvents extraction experim.nts were im.lem.nted to investigate the effect of various param.ters on Jordanian El-Lajjun oil shale extractability. Results indicate that the approxim.te organic m.tter content in studied El-Lajjun oil shale is 17.48%, and 75% of OS sam.le particles diam.ters are less than 270 μm. The grain size has m.nor effect on shale oil extraction via organic solvents. Am.ng eleven solvents used, the highest yield is obtained via the tetrahedrofuran (THF), whereas, with the use of solvent m.xtures, the highest bitum.n yield is obtained through the m.xture of THF and toluene. The solvation variability is related to m.de of extraction and various physicochem.cal factors such as extraction tem.erature, pressure, solvent type and m.xing tim., which result in different Om.yield. The results indicate that the solvent extraction could be potential for shale oil extraction from.Jordanian El-Lajjun OS under certain conditions of tem.erature, pressure and solvent type used.

How Long to Treat with Bisphosphonates?

Bisphosphonate class of drugs, the m.st com.only prescribed for the treatm.nt of osteoporosis, is effective in preventing and treating bone loss and fractures. However, the treatm.nt duration and the applicability of “drug holidays” for bisphosphonates need optim.zation in order to m.nim.ze long-term.exposure. Drug holidays m.y prevent potential adverse events while still m.intaining som. degree of antifracture efficacy via residual antiresorptive activity by retained bisphosphonates. Patients receiving bisphosphonates, who are at low-m.derate risk of fracture, are potential candidates for a drug holiday. However, for high-risk patients or patients with previous history of fragility fractures, the benefits of continuing bisphosphonate therapy considerably out-weigh their potential harm. Evidence-based guidelines regarding starting and stopping a drug holiday are not available;therefore, it is appropriate to m.nitor patients on a drug holiday to assess a declining antiresorptive effect. In case of a significant rise in bone turnover m.rkers or significant decrease in bone m.neral density, it m.y be tim. to restart therapy.

The centralJordanpart is rich in bitum.nous rocks that are known locally as oil shale (OS). These rocks were form.d during the m.astrichtian-Palaeocene tim.. They belong to the m.waqqar Chalkm.rlform.tion (m.m.. El-Lajjun OS deposit is located in relatively thinly populated area. This study presents the results of m.neralogical, petrographical and geochem.cal analyses that are perform.d on selected surface outcrop oil shale sam.les from.El-Lajjun area in central Jordan. Results show that El-Lajjun OS deposit is considered as a good source of OS resources since its organic m.tter is quite significant. The bulk rock m.terial is m.de of carbonate.
