The present research work attempted to delineate and characterize the reservoir facies from the Dawson Canyon Formation in the Penobscot field,Scotian *** integrated study of instantaneous frequency,P-impedance,volume of clay and neutron-porosity attributes,and structural framework was done to unravel the Late Cretaceous depositional system and reservoir facies distribution patterns within the study *** strikes were found in the EW and NEE-SWW directions indicating the dominant course of tectonic activities during the Late Cretaceous period in the region.P-impedance was estimated using model-based seismic *** properties such as the neutron porosity(NPHI)and volume of clay(VCL)were estimated using the multilayer perceptron neural network with high ***,a combination of low instantaneous frequency(15-30 Hz),moderate to high impedance(7000-9500 gm/cc*m/s),low neutron porosity(27%-40%)and low volume of clay(40%-60%),suggests fair-to-good sandstone development in the Dawson Canyon *** calibration with the welllog data,it is found that further lowering in these attribute responses signifies the clean sandstone facies possibly containing *** present study suggests that the shale lithofacies dominates the Late Cretaceous deposition(Dawson Canyon Formation)in the Penobscot field,Scotian *** faults and overlying shale facies provide structural and stratigraphic seals and act as a suitable hydrocarbon entrapment mechanism in the Dawson Canyon Formation's *** present research advocates the integrated analysis of multi-attributes estimated using different methods to minimize the risk involved in hydrocarbon exploration.

目的观察和评价英夫利西在治疗炎症性肠病的安全性及有效性。材料和方法28例炎症性肠病患者(UC和CD)应用英夫利西单抗治疗,其中18例UC中男女比例11:7;10例CD中男女比例5:5。观察患者临床症状、年龄、体重、ESR,CRP和HB。应用英夫利西前及每次用药后便常规,以及英夫利西药物副反应。英夫利西用药剂量为5mg/kg,前三次为第0周、第2周、第6周诱导缓解;第4次开始每隔8周应用1次,第4周开始为维持治疗。英夫利西药物加入250ml NS中,以静脉输液方式给药,输液时间>2小时。结果UC患者平均年龄为41.72±1.30岁,CD患者为46.80±2.32岁。在治疗前后观察指标明显改善。记录患者基本资料,应用英夫利西单抗前,及每次应用英夫利西单抗后的临床特点和化验室检查。描述UC患者应用英夫利西单抗后,临床症状标准评分(CSG)变化。临床症状标准评分(CSG)在应用英夫利西单抗前为10.56±1.50。在第一次应用英夫利西单抗后,临床症状标准评分(CSG)为9.00±2.06,到第30周时平均CSG评分降到6.00±2.12。在每组临床症状评分(CSG)治疗前和治疗后比较中,差别均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。CD患者临床症状评分(CSG)平均值,在应用英夫利西单抗前为10.90±1.45。在第一次应用英夫利西单抗后,临床症状标准评分(CSG)为7.80±2.10;到第30周时平均CSG评分降到2.67±0.58。在每组临床症状评分(CSG)治疗前和治疗后比较中,差别均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。UC患者化验室参数评分平均值,应用英夫利西前为3.50±0.51。在第一次应用英夫利西后,化验室参数评分为3.00±0.69,到第30周化验室参数评分平均值降到2.00±0.71。比较用药前和用药后2组,化验室参数的数值,英夫利西组均有显著差别,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。CD患者根据化验室参数平均值的平均分,应用英夫利西单抗前为3.60±0.52。在第一次应用英夫利西单抗后,化验室参数评分为2.60±0.70;到第30周平均化验室参数评分降至1.00±0。比较治疗前和治疗后,两组化验室参数评分水平,每个英夫利西组均有明显变化,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。UC患者平均ESR应用英夫利西前为27.72±1.64mm/hr。在第一次应用英夫利西后,ESR为16.83±1.72mm/hr,第30周结束ESR为13.60±1.02mm/hr。在治疗前后ESR对比中,英夫利西组均有明显区别,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。描述UC应用英夫利西单抗治疗后,患者血清CRP变化。患者应用英夫利西单抗前,CRP为20.66±2.37mg/l,第一次应用英夫利西单抗后CRP为10.94±1.90 mg/l,第30周结束时血清CRP为3.54±0.37 mg/l。对比2组应用英夫利西单抗治疗前后CRP水平,英夫利西组有明显差异,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。CD患者ESR平均值在治疗前为34.20±3.50mm/hr,在第一次应用英夫利西单抗后降到14.20±3.94mm/hr,到第30周ESR为6.67±4.73mm/hr。比较治疗前后ESR水平,英夫利西组在治疗后ESR有明显变化,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。CD患者CRP平均值在治疗前为20.75±1.99 mg/l,第一次应用英夫利西后降至9.36±1.24 mg/l,第22周CRP为5.66±0.61mg/l,在第30周为0.17±0.00。在治疗前后对比CRP水平,每组应用英夫利西均有明显变化,有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论英夫利西在治疗IBD中是比较安全有效的。

Living Arrangement of Older People: A Study of Community Living Elderly from Nepal

Background: Aging has caused changes in the structure of families that raises reflections on the sustainability of the traditional models of family care for older adults. The aim of this article is to analyze the situation of living arrangements of Nepalese older people. Methods: This study is a secondary analysis of structured interview data collected by the Central Department of Population Studies at Tribhuvan University (TU) via a cross-sectional survey of community-dwelling persons aged 60+ in the Pharping area of Kathmandu. For this study, there were 1326 valid responses. Results: Findings show over four-fifths of respondents (81.3%) were living with family members, far more than with a spouse only (11.6%), alone (6.2%), and others (0.9%). The proportion of Populace residing alone tends to increase with the increase in age of respondents;more widowers tend to live alone compared to those in marital unions;more elderly males without living children tend to live alone compared to those who have at least one living child. The sex of the respondents, marital status, ethnicity, income situation, and feeling of insecurity have significant differences in the living arrangement of older people in this study. Conclusion: Traditionally, Nepalese older adults are contented to live with their family members. The government of Nepal should promote the traditional living arrangements of older people through some incentives providing for family members taking care of their senior citizens.

Exposure to Hypobaric Hypoxia and Reoxygenation Induces Transient Anxiety-Like Behavior in Rat

Chronic exposure to hypobaric hypoxia (HH) causes memory impairment and prolonged state of mental confusion. However, effect of high altitude exposure on mood state and its underlying mechanisms have been poorly studied.? Present study was undertaken to investigate the mood state alteration following chronic exposure to HH. Male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into five groups and exposed to hypoxia for 3, 7, 14 and 21 days in an animal decompression chamber at an altitude of 25,000ft. Anxiety-and depression-like behaviors were assessed by using various mazes along with changes in serotonin and glutamate level. Our study revealed a decrease in exploratory, grooming and rearing behavior in open field test following initial exposure to HH for 7 days without affecting the locomotory behavior. Initial exposure to HH-decreased time spent in open arm of elevated plus maze indicating induction of anxiety-like behavior which normalized on prolonged hypoxic exposure for 21 days. Hypoxic exposure for 7 days induced anhedonia and increased despair behavior in rat while there was steady improvement in these behaviors when exposed for 21 days. Decrease in serotonin level was noted in hippocampus along with elevated corticosterone and glutamate level which gradually decreased on prolonged exposure to HH. These findings suggest that initial exposure to HH increases transient anxiety-like behavior in rats followed by gradual improvement in mood state on prolonged exposure. Further, the study also indicates the involvement of serotonergic system in mood state alteration at high altitude following chronic exposure and reoxygenation.

Co-relation of SARS-CoV-2 related 30-d mortality with HRCT score and RT-PCR Ct value-based viral load in patients with solid malignancy

BACKGROUND Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with malignancy are published worldwide but are lacking in data from *** To characterize COVID-19 related mortality outcomes within 30 d of diagnosis with HRCT score and RT-PCR Ct value-based viral load in various solid *** Patients included in this study were with an active or previous malignancy and with confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection from the institute *** collected data on demographic details,baseline clinical conditions,medications,cancer diagnosis,treatment and the COVID-19 disease *** primary endpoint was the association between the mortality outcome and the potential prognostic variables,specially,HRCT score,RT-PCR Ct value-based viral load,*** logistic regression analyses treatment received in 30 *** Out of 131 patients,123 met inclusion criteria for our *** median age was 57 years(interquartile range=19-82)while 7(5.7%)were aged 75 years or *** most prevalent malignancies were of GUT origin 49(39.8%),hepatopancreatobiliary(HPB)40(32.5%).109(88.6%)patients were on active anticancer treatment,115(93.5%)had active(measurable)*** analysis on May 20,2021,26(21.1%)patients had *** logistic regression analysis,independent factors associated with an increased 30-d mortality were in patients with the symptomatic *** in the last 4 wk,number of comorbidities(≥2 vs none:3.43,1.08-8.56).The univariate analysis showed that the risk of death was significantly associated with the HRCT score:for moderate(8-15)[odds ratio(OR):3.44;95%confidence interval(CI):1.3-9.12;P=0.0132],severe(>15)(OR:7.44;95%CI:1.58-35.1;P=0.0112).CONCLUSION To the best of our knowledge,this is the first study from India reporting the association of HRCT score and RT-PCR Ct value-based 30-d mortality outcomes in SARS-CoV-2 infected cancer patients.

Themo-Physical Properties of Al-Mg Alloy in Liquid State at Different Temperatures

Thermo-physical properties of Al-Mg alloys in molten state at 1073 K have been studied using thermodynamic modeling. Thermodynamic properties, such as free energy of mixing, heat of mixing, entropy of mixing, activities and structural properties, such as concentration fluctuation in long wavelength limit, Warren-Cowely short range order parameter have been studied at 1073 K, 1173 K, 1273 K and 1373 K on the basis of regular associated solution model. The surface properties such as surface concentrations and surface tension of the liquid alloys have been studied by using Butler’s model. A consistent set of model parameters have also been obtained by using optimization procedure based on statistical thermodynamics. Our analysis reveals that Al-Mg alloy is moderately interacting and it shows ordering nature at 1073 K. The nature of the alloys changes from ordering to segregating as the temperature increases.
