Mg_(3)Bi_(2-x)Sb_(x)(0≤x≤2)have gained significant attention due to their potential in thermoelectric(TE)***,there has been much debating regarding their structural properties and phase diagram as a function of pressure,which is crucial for understanding of their TE ***,we investigate a unified phase diagram of Mg_(3)(Bi,Sb)_(2) materials up to 40 GPa at room temperature using high-pressure X-ray *** high-pressure phases with the structural transition succession of P3m1→C2/m→P21/n are observed,which is valid for all Mg_(3)Bi_(2-x)Sb_(x)(0≤x≤2)*** further explore the low-pressure phase P3m1 and report that alloying does not change the quasi-isotropic compression of the unit lattice parameters nor has effect on the anisotropic bond compressibility,as recently reported for the *** study presents a comprehensive picture of Mg_(3)Bi_(2–x)Sb_(x) as a function of pressure and chemical composition providing a solid foundation for the future experimental and theoretical studies searching for the most efficient TE compound in Mg_(3)(Bi,Sb)_(2).

MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are small non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs)that regulate the expression of their targetmRNAs *** their discovery,thousands of highly conserved miRNAs have been identified and investigated for their role in human health and ***-214 has been increasingly reported to have an association with the regulation of bone *** suggested that miR-214 controls the critical aspects of osteoblasts(bone-forming cells),including their differentiation,proliferation,viability,and *** have also reported the functional significance of miR-214 in bone diseases and suggested its candidature as a diagnostic and therapeutic ***,targeting miR-214 by other ncRNAs,such as linear ncRNAs and circular RNAs,has provided novel insights into treating bone *** review briefly discusses the contemporary findings of the physiological and pathological roles of miR-214 in bone *** addition,we highlight the important ncRNA/mRNA/miR-214 axes influencing osteoblast differentiation that are of therapeutic importance for the treatment of bone-related diseases.

Analysis of Extreme Rainfall Event with Different Microphysics and Parameterization Schemes in WRF Model

In the present study, the imitation of heavy rainfall event which occurred over Jharkhand during 18 August 2016 was taken as a case study. Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model has been utilized for this study. National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) analysis data is compared with GSMaP data with different combination of physical parameterization scheme like microphysics (MP) and cumulus parameterization (CP). In the present study, three MP schemes: Kessler scheme, Lin et al. scheme and WRF Single-moment 6-class scheme with combination of three CP schemes: Betts-Miller-Janjic scheme, Multi-scale Kain-Fritsch scheme and New simplified Arakawa-Schubert scheme have been used. The model predicted humidity, temperature and precipitation were compared with the GSMaP product. The model nicely depicted the cloud pattern and recognized the rain event spatially. The obtained result shows that the model overestimates the precipitation for all the schemes.

Mapping of Salinity Ingress Using Galdit Model for Sirkali Coastal Region: A Case Study

A model is traced to evaluate and enumerate the significance of vulnerability to seawater intrusion due to excessive ground water withdrawals and some anthropogenic activities at coastal aquifers. So taking these issues into account few thematic maps which were influencing the saline water intrusion were prepared and overlaid using Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Based on GALDIT method, the groundwater vulnerability cartography has been assessed. To reckon the GALDIT index it requires six parameters like aquifer type, aquifer hydraulic conductivity, depth to groundwater level (AMSL), distance from the shore, impact of existing status of seawater intrusion and thickness of the aquifer. This GALDIT is the indicator scores and summing them and dividing by the total weight for determining the relative role of each one. Apart from this an identification of saltwater intruded area is done by using indicators of saltwater intrusion like Cl/(HCO3 + CO3) ratio and Na/Cl ratio. The vulnerability areas are classified as moderate with an area of 147.31 sq. km and low covering an area of 168.72 sq. km respectively based on the thematic maps. The final thematic map can be used for management of the coastal ground water resources.
