Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the world’s deadliest and fastestgrowing tumors,with a poor *** develops in the context of chronic liver *** resection,surgery(liver transplantation),trans-arterial chemoembolization,radioembolization,radiofrequency ablation and chemotherapy are common treatment options for HCC,however,they will only assist a limited percentage of *** treatments for advanced HCC are ineffective and aggravate the underlying liver *** promising preclinical and early-phase clinical trials for some drugs,existing systemic therapeutic methods for advanced tumor stages remain limited,underlining an unmet clinical *** current years,cancer immunotherapy has made significant progress,opening up new treatment options for ***,on the other hand,has a variety of causes and can affects the body’s immune system via a variety of *** the speedy advancement of synthetic biology and genetic engineering,a range of innovative immunotherapies,such as immune checkpoint inhibitors[anti-programmed cell death-1(PD-1),anti-cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4,and anti-PD ligand 1 cell death antibodies],therapeutic cancer vaccines,engineered cytokines,and adoptive cell therapy have all been used for the treatment of advanced *** this review,we summarize the present clinical and preclinical landscape of immunotherapies in HCC,critically discuss recent clinical trial outcomes,and address future perspectives in the field of liver cancer.

Objective:To evaluate the protective effect of Pisonia aculeata(***) on thioacetamide induced hepatotoxicity in ***:Male Wistar rats were administered 250 or 500 mg/kg *** *** extract for 21 days and simultaneously administered thioacetamide(TAA) 50 mg/kg bw s.c.1 h alter the respective assigned treatments every 72 *** the end of all experimental methods,all the animals were sacrificed by cervical *** samples were *** was separated and analyzed for various biochemical ***:TAA induced a significant rise in aspartate amino transferase(AST),alanine amino transferase(ALT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total bilirubin,gamma glutamate transpeptidase(GGTP),lipid peroxidase(LPO)with a reduction of total protein,superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase,glutathione peroxidase(GPx) and glutathione S-transferase(GST).Treatment of rats with different does of plant extract(250 and 500 mg/kg) significantly(Pker enzymes and antioxidant levels to near normal against TAA treated *** activity of the extract at a dose of 300 tug/kg was comparable to the standard drug,silymarin(50 mg/kg.p.o.).Conclusions:It can be concluded that *** extract possesses a remarkable hepaloprolective and antioxidant activity against TAA induced *** research is required lo derive an optimal therapeutic dose.

A magnitude M;7.8 earthquake occurred on 25 April 2015(referred as Gorkha earthquake).We have analyzed the spatial variation of b-value and two-dimensional strain within Nepal Himalaya before and after the Gorkha *** have used continuous Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)data from 30 stations in the Nepal region for geodetic strain estimation and earthquake data for b-value *** GNSS data were processed using double differencing technique for the accurate position of each *** precise velocity vectors show a general azimuth of north east for all the stations and have been used to derive two-dimensional *** epicenters of Gorkha(25 April 2015)and Dolakha earthquakes(12 May 2015),we observed high co-seismic horizontal displacements(0.2 m to 2 m).In the Pre-seismic deformation study,maximum strain accumulation(56.40×10;)and low bvalue(0.79-0.89)was observed in and around the Western Nepal region,which may be responsible for the 2015 Gorkha *** potential seismic zones were identified by GIS based integration of geodetic strain and b-value map and superimposition using weighted overlay *** Maximum strain and low b-value are now observed in the eastern part of ***,the spatial disposition of elastic energy has changed after the two major earthquakes and continuous seismic hazard assessment is required in the eastern Nepal.

The immotile testicular mammalian spermatozoon gets transformed into a motile spermatozoon during ＇epididymal maturation＇. During this process, the spermatozoa transit from the caput to the cauda epididymis and undergo a number of distinct morphological, biophysical and biochemical changes, including changes in protein composition and protein modifications, which may be relevant to the acquisition of motility potential. The present proteome-based study of the hamster epididymal spermatozoa of caput and cauda led to the identification of 113 proteins spots using Matrix- assisted laser desorption/ionization tandem mass spectrometry （MALDI-MS/MS） analysis. Comparison of these 113 protein spots indicated that 30 protein spots （corresponding to 20 proteins） were significantly changed in intensity. Five proteins were increased and eleven were decreased in intensity in the cauda epididymal spermatozoa. In addition, two proteins, glucose-regulated protein precursor （GRP78） and tumor rejection antigen （GP96）, were unique to the caput epididymal spermatozoa, while one protein, fibrinogen-like protein 1, was unique to cauda epididymal spermatozoa. A few of the five proteins, which increased in intensity, were related to sperm metabolism and ATP production during epididymal maturation. The changes in intensity of a few proteins such as ERp57, GRP78, GP96, Hsp60, Hsp70, and dihydrolipoamide S-acetyltransferase were validated by immunoblotting. The present study provides a global picture of the changes in protein composition occurring during hamster sperm epididymal maturation, besides being the first ever report on the proteome of hamster spermatozoa.

Nano-sized trinitrotoluene(TNT) material restrained in silica gel has been prepared by using the sol-gel process to study the effect of varying porosity in gel on the sensitivity of TNT. The TNT content in the gel has been varied from 60 to 90 wt %(at fixed acetone/tetramethoxysilane ratio of 50). Also, for a fixed TNT content of 75 wt %, the pore structure in the gel has been varied by changing the ratio of silica gel precursor to the solvent. The resultant TNT–silica gel composites have been characterized using scanning electron microscopy, thermal analysis, small angle X-ray scattering and surface area analysis techniques. Impact sensitivity studies were carried out using Fall Hammer Impact Test. The results showed that the sensitivity of nanostructured explosives prepared by sol-gel process can be tailored precisely by controlling the process parameters.

The maximum strength of polycrystalline metals/alloys has been suggested to occur at nanoscale grain sizes where the governing deformation mechanism transitions from dislocation plasticity to grain boundary mediated *** tremendous progress recently uncovering links between transitions in nanoscale mechanisms and peak strength,the scientific literature is mostly devoid of any quantitative support,owing to the difficulty in measuring the resolved contribution of individual mechanisms to microstructural strain *** this study,the contribution of individual nanoscale mechanisms to the overall deformation of nanocrystalline Ni is calculated from atomistic simulations leveraging continuum-based kinematic metrics to compute mechanistic contributions to microstructural strain.

Discrete choice models are widely used in multiple sectors such as transportation, health, energy, and marketing, etc., where the model estimation is usually carried out by using commercial software. Nonetheless, tailored computer codes offer modellers greater flexibility and control of unique modelling situation. Aligned with empirically tailored computing environment, this research discusses the relative performance of six different algorithms of a discrete choice model using three key performance measures： convergence time, number of iterations, and iteration time. The computer codes are developed by using Visual basic Application （VbA）. Maximum likelihood function （MLF） is formulated and the mathematical relationships of gradient and Hessian matrix are analytically derived to carry out the estimation process. The estimated parameter values clearly suggest that convergence criterion and initial guessing of parameters are the two critical factors in determining the overall estimation performance of a custom-built discrete choice model.

A series of 2-methyl-5-nitroaniline derivatives, 5a--Sk and 6a--6f, were synthesized in order to determine their in vitro antimicrobial activity. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses, UV-visible, FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral studies. The structure-activity relationships of the synthesized compounds were also discussed. Among the synthesized compounds, 5f, 5d, 6b and 6e showed good antimicrobial activity compared to standard drugs.
